Are you serious ? You just bought the new phone and it's already rooted.
I can understand it's not a phone for stock rom but still it should not be rooted already.
I will suggest go to service center or shop and replace the phone as soon as you can.

So, is there any way to update my phone to the latest version without rooting?
This is my last resort. Any help will be appreciated.
Thank you.

The update is rolling out slowly as I am also having the same device. But you can update it using lenovo moto smart assistant, as it will update your mobile.

I just tried to update it through that software, it said "No upgrade task".
One more thing, can the retail build NPPS25.137-93-2-5 be flashed on top of amzin build no. NPPS25.137-93-12? and after that the oreo zip? as these files are available for retail channel but not for amzin.
Hi, my Samsung S9 (SM-G960F, dual SIM) was purchased in May 2018 from Dubai (fully unlocked) and is being used in India. There were no carrier restrictions at the time of purchase, it was purchased fully unlocked.
Even today, it still shows Android Security Patch Level at 1/April/2018. I have enrolled into Samsung Pie beta, and I try everyday to download software manually, but no update has come, either in security patch or in software version. The details are given below:
When I try to update software manually by going to software update - download updates manually, it says 'The latest updates have already been installed. Current version : G960FXXU1ARD4/G960FOXM1ARCA/G960FXXU1ARD6'
When I go to settings - software information, the android version is 8.0.0, samsung experience version is 9.0, baseband version is G960FXXU1ARD6, build number : R16NW.G960FXXU1ARD4, kernel version : 4.9.59-13138374-QB17882910 [email protected] #1 Tue Apr 24 11:50:17 KST2018, android security patch level : 1 April 2018
I have even downloaded Samsung Smart Switch and tried downloading latest software but no use. The message I get there is 'Your software is up to date : RD4(INS)'
Please help. At this rate, I am not sure if I will receive any updates at all, even security patches. I dont know what is the problem.
Thanks in advance.
Flash it manually with ODIN, loads of guides all over XDA if you look
Thanks a a lot.

I have downloaded Odin v 3.13.1. I have downloaded the Android Pie firmware available in Sammobile applicable in UAE and the firmware is G960FXXU2CRLI/G960FOXM2CRLI.
Can I directly update my firmware from G960FXXU1ARD4/G960FOXM1ARCA using Odin 3.13.1 to G960FXXU2CRLI/G960FOXM2CRLI. Please advise.
Thanks.

Yea, just flash as normal, your bootloader will change to version 2 so you will not be able to downgrade back to that current firmware you are running as it is version 1

Thanks a lot for the prompt response. I would attempt to directly flash to this version in one step tonight.

This is happening to me too...
I have an s9 plus bought from Dubai full unlocked...bt still stuck on December 2018 patch where as other s9 plus recieving April 2019 patch..I'm worried about this..my build number is SM965FXXU2CRLI
I used the dload method to upgrade my dual sim p20 lite ANE-LX3 C605 with bootloader locked from EMUI 8.1 to 9.1, it is actually the first time I ever do something to this phone so I am not completely sure how this works I think my phone was rebranded to C432 because the name of the firmware I downloaded is Huawei P20 Lite ANE-LX1 ANE-L01 ANE-L21 hw eu Anne-L01 Anne-L21 9.1.0.132(C432E5R1P7T8) Firmware 9.0.0 r3 EMUI9.1.0 05014YWN 05014YXX. EMUI 9.1 works like a charm but I want to downgrade to EMUI 8 in order to have an earlier version of google play services, I have download a few different firmware from androidhost.ru,
1. Huawei P20 Lite ANE-LX3 ANE-L23 claro la Anne-L23 8.0.0.152(C605) Firmware 8.0.0 r1 EMUI8.0 05015ATQ
2. Huawei P20 Lite ANE-LX1 ANE-L21 hw eu Anne-L21 8.0.0.150(C432) Firmware 8.0.0 r1 EMUI8.0 05014YWN
3. Huawei P20 Lite ANE-LX1 ANE-L21 hw eu HLRCF Anne-L21 8.0.0.180(C432) Firmware 8.0.0 r1 EMUI8.0 05014YXX
With 1. and 3. it says software install failed please get help from emui dot com
With 2. it says that the software package is not compatible with the current version .
This is my first post so I cant upload any images but some info on the version and build number as seen currently:
Model: ANE-LX3
Build number: ANE-LGRP2-OVS 9.1.0.132
Hardware version: HL3ANNEM
Custom version: CUSTC605D1
Under version component version in the project menu it says: get version component version fail!.
Any help with this matter would be much appreciated, thanks in advance.

Doesn't work for this phone sadly
I've been running into the same problem with my LX3, our best bet is to wait for the official LX3 update and maybe we can downgrade form that version. Until that we're pretty much stucked with this firmware.

Pretty much... We'll just have to wait for the official update and see if we can rollback or do something else
has anyone still figured it out?

Nah... Usb connection to hisuite isn't even working so we can't downgrade (which was the problem in the first place), hopefully a dload is uploaded to androidhost.ru so we can try updating.
Tomorrow I'll try to figure something out but can't promise anything.

Same here. Cannot update because installed update is lower version.
A year ago I had Sharp Aquos S2 (Chinese version) and it was very easy to convert it to global. You just need to download global update from Sharp site (same as we do it with Realme X) and to change update name number, like if you have 1.35 chinese version installed on your phone and the global version update file is 1.34, all that was needed is to rename update file to higher nimber, 1.36 for example. But in the case of Realme I think that version is written somewhere inside the update and that's why we can't convert it to global with this method. I think we will need to wait for new update to appear on indian site and meanwhile not to OTA update our phones.
And what about MSM Download Tool. Anyone figure it out?
---------- Post added at 10:05 AM ---------- Previous post was at 09:43 AM ----------
I think that the problem is that A.06 global version security update patch is June, and installed chinese version security update patch is July. So I think we need to wait for the next global (India) update to came out, and meanwhile not to update chinese firmware of our phone.
is there any chance of getting the phone bricked going from Chinese rom to global? I heard some xiaomi phones got bricked doing the same

Yes, it's possible. That's why I think it's best to have unlocked bootloader. But how to unlock it?
Realme has now released bootloader unlock in their official unlocker, or so i have heard
[Solved] I upgraded to Android 10 by mistake, I thought it was the monthly security patch. I bought this phone from Kuwait but I think it's the United Arab Emirates version (XSG). I attached screenshots of my software, about phone and the Android 9 firmware which I'll download. Is everything correct.
I did it. Everything went smooth.
Why did you downgrade?Any issues you got with android 10?
