Hi to all. I have a Samsung Galaxy S4 mini GT-I9195 that I use for work. Some days ago I was reading some E-mail and it turned off like if I removed the battery and it won't turn on.
I tried everything, also connecting JIG without any change.
I connected to my PC and it has find this device "QHSUSB_DLOAD" but I haven't the driver installed.
What is happened? Is my device bricked?
What can I do?
Thanks in advance.

Yes it's totally bricked and seems that emmc is broken. Check unbrick method with debrick image from this forum or if it wont help find someone who can reprogram it using JTAG. I'm afraid there is no third way, if this two methods fails only changing motherboard left. I had quite few phones with this problem and most of them had physically damaged emmc. Good luck.
The phone is under warranty, maybe I'll take it to the support desk.

Hmm if it is, it should be the first thing You do before putting Your fingers into this.
Logic board changed via warranty!

Same issue here got turned phone using debrick image Model is 19190 s4 mini but the download page shows "MMC_READ FAILED" so the only solution for me is JTAG ? (Is heating the NAND ic is gonna do any trick ?)
JTAG should help but if it is hardware emmc issue You can reflow emmc on some solder flux but only if Your emmc isn't glued. If it is glued when You start heat this, pressure under bga can make short circut on balls.
Mmc_read failed
Hello everybody,
i just wanted to shrare my experience regarding a bricked s4 mini:
My s4mini worked fine, until one day the phone froze. I pulled the battery.
But it wont turn on any more. Nothing. No Recovery nor bootloader. No logo.
Connected to my windows PC a got a sign of life: "QHSUSB_DLOAD"
I found the debrick.image, which i flashed to a micro sd card.
When inserted to bricked phone, s4 mini booted.
The debrick image tries to recover the bootloader, but fails. because the emmc is not recognized at all. MMC_READ FAILED
As you can see in the attached picture.
I went to a special repair shop. Same story. Even with JTAG Box he was not able to revive emmc.
So, emmc is physically damaged. There is nothing i can do anymore.
We even tried resoldering Power IC and a new Power IC.
Is there another way to try to read the data on the emmc? Unsolder?
I Have some pictures stored on internal SD Partition
Cross my fingers that this wont happen to anybody alse...

Here's a solution.
Mine was completely dead, and the only sign of life was putting USB in without the battery but putting it back in killed it again.
If you can open up your phone and see the motherboard and there is no damage you might want to try this anyway. This worked for me just when I was about to give up. Hope it can help you too, especially since no more warranty replacement.
Follow this guide, it was a bit difficult (just shorting the motherboard with a wire and holding it. I just used sticky tape to hold it xD), but this got mine working. Unbelievable.

Hi guys,
I'd need a few phone fixing advice, I opened a previous thread (still about a LG G3 D855 16G) here : https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/help/lineageos-soft-brick-files-t3711525, bu I guess it's no more a Lineage OS related issue so I opened this thread.
Long story short, after shorting some pins, I managed to use BoardDiag. Though, after loading the last part (sbl1), I couldn't do anything. I guess I managed to "super-brick" it
I can't boot, dl mode, recovery mode, nothing, it does nothing. And when plugged, the computer don't recognise anything, it's as if I plugged a USB cable with nothing on the other side (tried with multiple cables of course...).
Any idea of what to do from here ?
I figured an option might be to just switch to another motherboard and get done with that ?
If I do change the motherboard, are there any restrictions ? I have a D855 16G, would getting a motherboard of D855 32G or F460K be fitting and have an impact on battery life ?
Thanks already!

I had the same problem so i Change the motherboard from a ls990 to vs985 that is the only solution ,, now i have a verizon device with a spring motherboard.
Yea the motherboards are inexpensive as long as its from a trusted seller Clean imei and No flickering bootloop or other known hardware issue
Easy as pie to change 15- 20 min max
I'll give it a shot :good:
