domain will expire at 12:31:26, January 29, 2020
rovo89 has left. I'm not sure if it will renew the domain
That's a bad message.
Where should module developers upload their own modules? How can users who are still using older Android continue to use the xposed installer to install xposed?
so..what is the replacement of xposed.info? Is there a repository with the same API format as the xposed module repository?

Well, i got some message from admin, rovo89 says its set to autorenew so all should be good

I am not able to login into Xposed Repository anymore using XDA link. Maybe it is due to the changes to XDA pages.
Or am I missing something?

I'm experiencing the same. Not sure who to contact.. I agree with your assumption it's because of the changes to XDA.
I'm also experiencing for a while now that download count isn't updated anymore. I used the contact form on the repo page but got no response.

@mlgmxyysd @C3C076 Seems like log in issue is fixed on the repo site

Is there anything wrong with the Xposed repo in the Edxposed Manager? The last time any module was updated is stuck on 2020/11/30.
There hasn't been any updates since then?

Dude, have you not read the recent posts to this one page thread? XDA migration to the new site broke the xposed repo hence no new updates to the list since 11/31 despite the repo login working and seemingly capable of submitting content, EdXmanager as it is currently (even on the latest pre-release 4.6.0 (45760) build) we are essentially waiting for a new repo site host to be established. The issue as i understand it lies with how to reflect the xposed repo logins to another host like GitHub.

It's just that it's been 2 months and there is very little discussion on a fix and a potential timeline.
Therefore I thought it might have been abandoned.

[APP] Script for checking Kies firmware updates

I've written PHP script that pretends Kies application and asks Samsung's server about updates for given device. Reason for that was simple: I wanted to know about official Froyo release without manually checking it with Kies with registers hacks.
Download:
http://files.zajec.net/kies.updates.php.txt
Usage:
php kies.updates.php.txt
Requirements:
php with curl extension
Checking for other countries and devices:
Check last 4 lines in script and modify them. Syntax is simple:
getUpdateInfo('ANY-NAME', 'ProductCode', 'HIDSWVER');
Example:
Code:
Europe Countries / GT-I9000HKDXEU / I9000XXJF3/I9000OXAJF3/I9000XXJF3/I9000XXJF3
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
LATEST_FW_VERSION I9000XXJM1/I9000OXAJF3/I9000XXJM1/I9000XXJM1
BINARY_URI http://fus.samsungmobile.com/Phone_Binary/9/GT-I9000_I9000XXJM1_I9000OXAJM1_I9000XXJM1_I9000XXJM1_XX_XEU.zip.enc
LAST_MODIFIED 10/08/21
CURRENT_DISPLAYVERSION I9000XXJF3/I9000OXAJF3/I9000XXJF3/I9000XXJF3
LATEST_DISPLAYVERSION I9000XXJM1/I9000OXAJM1/I9000XXJM1/I9000XXJM1
great, congrat. at last something useful appears here
woooooohoooooooo!!!!! thank you!

I'm not understanding one thing: where do I paste the php code?
Thanks.
Kies has been updated in order for the script to work you need to change the version of the Kies in the query inside the php code:
line 59: from 1.5.3.10093.82 to 1.5.3.10103.100
still no Froyo....

Hello,
this morning I got the message that there is "No firmware info with the given data". Yesterday it worked perfektly. The data I'm using:
getUpdateInfo('Europe Countries', 'GT-I9000HKDDBT', 'I9000XXJF3/I9000OXAJF3/I9000XXJF3/I9000XXJF3');
What could be the reason?
Maybe a fimware update?

Kies was updated and Samsung changed protocol which Kies uses to check for firmware. That way my PHP script uses outdated protocol which does not work anymore. Will have to update it when I get my hands on new Kies.
Similar issue can be noticed when using old Kies. It was reported in: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=9013623
OK, so there was not any real change in protocol. Samsung just banned old Kies versions. File available under http://files.zajec.net/kies.updates.php.txt works again.
It shows "I9000XXJPO/I9000OXAJPO/I9000XXJPP/I9000XXJPO" for Europe Countries,
"I9000XWJM2/I9000OXXJM1/I9000XXJM1/I9000XWJM2" for Poland (no branding).
Not sure what do to do now... Wait for Polish release or use version for Europe Countires?
Great work!
Do you think fus site is publishing the .enc files passkey too, somewhere within its webservice ?
I guess it should be reasonable, as Kies shouldn't know anyone at first...

[New App] X-Ray For Android Scans Your Device For Root Vulnerabilities, Unfortunately

We've all read the horror stories: a new virus is crawling through the third-party stores, aiming to steal your personal information, identity, and first born child. More often than not, this type of malicious app is made possible because of one of the various root vulnerabilities that have been discovered throughout the various versions of Android.
X-Ray is a new app that lets you see exactly how vulnerable your device is by scanning it against several of these exploits, including RageAgainstTheCage, Gingerbreak, Mempodroid, Levitator, and a few more.
It's extremely easy to use: simply install it and run a scan. It will run through each exploit in a matter of minutes and display whether or not the device is vulnerable
Ultimately, it's good to know what exploits, if any, your device is vulnerable to. The more you know, the easier it is to keep your device protected.
X-Ray is completely free (but not in the Play Store)
here is download lin

i installed this app on my phone. All it does is turns my phone off when i press scan.
I am currently on android 4.0.3 UHLPS (ICS) with Siyah Kernal 3.4. Is this unique to my phone ?
I'll download and install. Let you know how it goes I'm using my Xperia Play R800x on official CM9 RC2 with the official kernel. Hope I can help.
As was expected, no vulnerabilities. The CM team is awesome

See on CM foruns that a user running CM9 has mempodroid vulnerability, i think this will occurs to all users that are using this custom rom, right?
What we need to worry about Memopdroid Vulnerability on CM9 Stable release?
Thank you in advance
So what can I do if my phone is vulnerable?
Thanks Rep, great to have, Xoom is OK but the D3 is vunerable w/Gingerbreak. No problem,I'll take care of that. Your XRay showed this so to all this is an item worth having.
Re: download: possible so that visitors to your site main page click on download the apk downloads? why have them type in xray.io/dl?
anyway, downloaded and installed on HTC one X running ARHD 9.1.

You might want to check for motofail, the debugfs vulnerability (it wouldn't surprise me if it affects every device) as well as the Galaxy vulnerabilities that I plan to announce on the Full Disclosure mailing list on Wednesday night (I told Samsung I would give them two weeks head start, and reported the vulnerabilities to them).

FAQ
The FAQ section in a thread is bound to grow over time, but it may be small to start with, so whether or not you you should hide part of this section is up to you, but you will likely need the most urgent questions in direct view. If questions are short and the answer tends to be long you may choose to hide the answers but not the questions.
Q: DO'S
A: Use normal sized text for any paragraph of texts
A: Paragraphs of text should be black, no exceptions
A: Images are nice, but keep them proportional to your text
A: Use a title -> paragraph stucture, a short and clear title (a subtitle if needed) and put information in the paragraph
A: Use ROM, APP, MOD, TOOL, THEME and GUIDE tags in the development tags in the thread title
A: Use CM9, AOKP, STOCK etc. to describe the project type in the thread title
Q: DON'TS
A: Don't use big font's, unless you use them to create titles.
A: Don't center your text, this breaks the reading flow
Q: Should I put this entire thread one one page or is it okay to distribute it across multiple pages?
A: Whether or you put your project on page or on multiple is entirely up to you, just make sure it feels consistent across all pages.
Q: I have my own thread design, can I use that?
A: Sure thing! But remember consistency is key here, make sure you take away the good things from the template and respect the do's and don't.

[Tool] Frija - Samsung firmware downloader/checker

* * * PLEASE UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU ARE INSTALLING TO YOUR DEVICES AT ALL TIMES AND ME AND THE DEVELOPER ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY SORT OF DAMAGE TO YOUR DEVICE * * *
Hey Guys
Frija is a new tool (successor of now depreciated tool SamFirm) which allows users to download latest firmware for their device which can be flashed with Odin.
Frija can download Firmware for any Samsung Devices at High Speed.
Auto mode detects any Samsung Phone Model and CSC and finds all the required information directly from Samsung Server.
Frija downloads firmware directly from Samsung FUS (Firmware Update Server) without any third party websites being involved. It can pause/resume firmware downloads, even after network interruption, or app restart (if download was interrupted).
Frija comes with built in Support form, through which you can reach out to developer about any issues or bugs. Frija has built in App Updater, whenever new release of Frija is available users will be able to update to latest version of the app.
Frija does not have any Background or Startup services, which some users might be concerned about.
It also comes with Night theme, for those who prefer Night Mode on the app

Fun fact about Frija: Frija is named after wife of Odin who can see future (In Norse Mythology) can download latest firmwares which can be flashed using Odin which uses Heimdall (A protocol that connects to a mobile device over USB) and Loke (low-level software running on the device). It kinda added a missing piece to the naming convention Samsung has.

Will there be a linux build or is it windows only?
Also it would be nice to have the sources available to audit the code and make sure it does no nasty stuff.

For now the software is for Windows only. As for now the developer doesn't have any plans to release the code to the public.
I have been a long time user of SamFirm, it was always the best way to get firmware as soon as it is avaialble. I really appreciate your work on this project. I tested it out for myself and it works Great! Thanks!!!

That's sad to hear. I''m not willing to setup a windows installation somewhere just to run some closed source code. Opening the source would make it possible for others to port the code to linux or at least have a look at it and audit it. Not only for security concerns but also to hunt bugs and report them. I'm really uncomfortable running closed source software from a random guy on some random internet forum.
Looks cool! I would prefer it to run on my Chromebook... someday. Cheers

Making source open is not going to help someone port it, since it uses 3 libraries made by Samsung to get info about download link and download the firmware which are only available for windows

I'm also a Linux user. I do have Windows on one of my partitions, but I'll have to wait for more users to report on Frija before I trust it enough to run it. With that said, I appreciate the effort and the work put into developing a useful program like that, and I hope its developers don't take my distrust as an insult.
Virustotal report for the zip
I used it yesterday to download the Odin package for my s10 plus. Worked liked a champ. Thanks!

OK when its finish the download i cannot find the zip file in the PC i choose other location and same problem
Will this trip nox or is it just a quicker way to get updates before the OTA release?
As it is downloading original, Stock Firmware, it will not trip KNOX.
Thanks for developing this tool, but sorry I got this error "frija has stopped working", I installed "c ++ 2008, c ++ 2010 and dotnet 4.5" is there anything I lack?

I use windown 7 64b, configure the machine, intel core i3, 3320 3.3ghz, ram 8gb, and SSD for windown drive, and 4t for storage, I use the samfirm completely normal, is there any problem here ?
Its probably me not doing something right. But Frija does not recognize my phone. Does it need to be in recovery? Debug mode etc?
This tool is great I typed in my model number gm-975F then the CSC that I wanted ( I found an online list of them by googling it.) Then bam it downloaded the fw file really fast over 120mbit down. I love the tool thank you so much

Broken XDA links

I was reading some posts about samsung and discovered some broken links of XDA. can they be fixed?
Those links goes to the post where they linked to XDA xposed modules
[APP][6.0+] XTouchWiz | Customize your Stock Samsung Roms
This module supports Samsung TouchWiz Marshmallow 6.0+ Rom only. XTouchWiz includes the most important features IMHO, I have no plans for the theming/coloring features, so please no need to ask for them. Wanam Xposed was a big project that i...

Maybe evildog1 meant the links included within the linked posts? If this is the case, they are probably broken links caused by the move to XenForo, possibly needing a fix with the new XF url format?

Upps, you're right. @evildog1 Sorry, I misread your post.
And affirmative, all the links in the two quoted posts are broken and simply refer to
Xposed General
Use this forum to chat about xposed framework and modules to modify your device without flashing a custom ROM
forum.xda-developers.com
However, there's a workaround to go to the actual thread or post that were supposed to be linked as the number at the end of the URL is the important part.
If you take the example from the link in this post:
[APP][6.0+] XTouchWiz | Customize your Stock Samsung Roms

The link is:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/modules/xposed-firefds-kit-customization-t3908114
Now simply reduce this to (please note that the t must be separated from the number by a /)
https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/3908114
Above will then refer you to the thread or post, which new URL under Xenforo is:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...-15-customize-samsung-oneui-10-01-21.3908114/
or as plain:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/xposed-pie-firefds-kit-9-1-0-5-stable-15-customize-samsung-oneui-10-01-21.3908114/
You find the important number at the end again after the dot.
Don't know if the admins can run a script to repair all broken ones? @MikeChannon

Yes, these are easy for an OP to fix or a Moderator, assuming there are not hundreds of them of course.
As said above one that ends with e.g.
..........pers.com/xposed/modules/xposed-firefds-kit-customization-t3908114 can be changed to
..........pers.com/t/xposed-pie-firefds-kit-9-1-0-5-stable-15-customize-samsung-oneui-10-01-21.3908114/
Possibly even easier just copy the number at the end insert t/ after developers.com and paste in the number (all that extra writing and sub forum stuff is redundant, all it needs is the /t/ part and the number. So in the above example you can use:
....................opers.com/t/3908114
That works just as well. (/t/3908114 is what it needs, not all the other wording.) Forum links work in the same way except they need /f/ instead of /t/
If there are hundreds of these, I can see if someone can script something but it might not be quick or get priority.
Mike
