HDMI port.
Adapter must use display port protocol (I think). This USB-C to HDMI, USB3.1, and USB-C (charging port in only) works. Found on eBay.
USB Type C Hub for Macbook Pixel USB C to HDMI USB 3.0 & USB-C Charging Port
Brand MyTripleBest
MTB--USB-C-A.
This one uses MHL protocol, and does NOT work.

Micro USB accessories.-
For OTG accessories, and some attachments such as cameras, the phone is the USB host.
'Conforming' USB-C to micro adapters (listing the '56k resistor' ) will not work. Tells the phone to take a charge, it is not host.
Look for adapters that are non conforming, better yet are 'OTG' compatible.
One is:
Meenova
USB 3.1 Type-C to MicroUSB 2.0 Female OTG Adapter, Gray, pack of 2
My micro USB thermal camera, 3d camera, and USB host cables work. There are other brands as well.

I'm currently (partially successfully) using the following in an attempt to use an External 1TB Drive as a portable backup solution for travels:
Type C Adapter, RAVPower USB C To A Female OTG Cable, USB-C On The Go Convertor for New MacBook and Other Devices with Type C USB
I can get images onto the phone's internal 128GB card (Lexar Professional 1800x microSDXC 128GB UHS-II W/USB 3.0 Reader Flash Memory Card - LSDMI128CRBNA1800R) via OTG and Card Reader ...I cannot get them off of the internal on to the External 1TB via the OTG cable.

Problem with old HTC M8 Charger
At home I use the charger that came with the phone.
At the office, I was planning to use the HTC charger that came with my old M8, maybe not quite as fast.
But strangely enough, when I do that, the charge light turns on and off every couple of seconds, it wakes the phone, and it doesn't charge.
A Belkin 2.1A charger I had works fine though. Go figure.
I don't think the HTC 10 is compliant with USB-C Power Delivery (Such as the Nexus 6p) do deliver the rapid charging speeds of up to 3A via a USB-C charger and a USB-C to USB-C cable. I remember reading up about it of an article referencing Benson Leung (not the 1st one, but most recent one). He said the LG G5 is compliant with the Power Delivery achieving the 3A max input. But the HTC 10 only achieves 2A.
I can about confirm this because I have 2 USB-C wall chargers, one by Cheotech that gives me around 1600mah-1700mAh, and one by iClever, which gives me the same speeds. My RavPower Turbo Series Powerbank with the USB-C port and the max of 3A output gives me the same 1600-1700mAh speeds of input into the HTC 10 as well.
I've tested a Samsung adaptive fast charger from the s7 and s6 with the OEM cable and a ravpower A to C cable and it shows Rapid Charging when plugged in.

Does the Note 7 support USB-PD/use the full 5V/3A USB-C current?

I don't have a USB-C PD charger, and can't find much information on if the Note 7 will use the full 15W provided under the USB-C spec, does anyone know?
For example, has anyone plugged a Macbook 12" USB-C charger into a Note 7?
I have a 100W USB dock/charger (Dell TB15). It uses a USB C adapter, but I'm afraid to plug it in to my phone.

Which charges faster USB C or USB 3 .0?

I just bought my first Google pixel tablet with a USB C charging point. Is it faster to charge USB C to USB C?
Or is USB 3.0 2 USB C the same speed?
Thanks
I know with my lg v20 if I use my USB c pd charger with it. It charges faster than my 3.0 USB A to USB c charger. So I would guess same holds true with the pixel c.

USB-C and USB 3.0 are two completely separate things. USB-C is merely a connector type. The default protocol for USB-C is USB 3.1, but if anything in the connection is incompatible with 3.1 then it will reduce down to whatever the lowest is. For instance using a USB 3.0 cable on a 3.1 connection results in 3.0 speeds/power. Likewise, if you use a tablet/phone whose physical port is USB 2.0 with a 3.0 cable it will still only go at 2.0 speeds.
What really matters here is your power source. The Pixel C supports USB Power Delivery for fast charging. The included charger is not PD-capable and will charge at 15W ([email protected]). The Google 60W USB Type C charger (included with the 2015 Chromebook Pixel) will charge the Pixel C at 24W ([email protected]) Another thing to keep in mind when considering chargers is that Qualcomm's Quick Charge isn't the same as what the Pixel C uses and likely will always default to 5V/2.4A charging so make sure you use a PD-capable charger if you want to get the fastest charging speeds.

That's very informative. How quickly does the pixel charge when at 12V/2A?
All very useful information. Thank you.
I have a feeling that fast charges can eventually cause damage to a battery or at least reduce its life expectancy.
I don't know why but I have the impression that slower charging – if one isn't in a hurry, such as overnight will eventually give longer battery life – especially interesting in a unit which doesn't have a user rechargeable battery.
Got any comments about this?
I would suggest this reading: http://www.fpvforme.com/charging-lipo-batteries/
Just make 100% positive you're buying a good USB C Power Delivery compatible charger+cable, if not you risk damaging your Pixel C.

USB-C Power Delivery Chargers

Hi all,
I just have some clarification questions regarding the chaos that is currently USB-C. Will ANY USB-C with PD support charge any other USB-C phone, tablet, or laptop if those devices support PD? Do we need to ensure that the charger used supports specific charging voltages, or will any of them work at different charge rates?
I bought a 2017 HP Spectre x360 13" a few months ago. (SIDE NOTE: If you're looking, this is an amazing convertible Ultrabook... 4k screen w/ Pen, Core i7, 512GB NVMe SSD, 16GB RAM, Thunderbolt3). It charges via a 45W USB-C charger. I generally have laptop chargers everywhere, so I ordered a bulk of Dell LA45NM150 chargers from eBay. They say 5V/20V on the sticker. Should these also charge my Galaxy S8, which charges at 5V and 9V? Do chargers need to say Power Delivery or PD to meet PD spec, or does that come along with having multiple voltages.
Likewise, I am guessing my laptop NEEDS 20V to charge? So if I took say, a phone charger and plugged it into the laptop, would it just not charge since it can't switch to 20V?
I am also speculating that if a USB-C charger only says 20V on the sticker, will it fry a Galaxy S8? Or is there protection for this sort of thing?
I am no newbie to power, chargers, electronics, tech.. but there's a lot of gray area right now on this stuff it seems.
Anyone?

Also, another related question -- Is there any advantage to using a USB-C to USB-C charging cable and brick vs a USB-C to USB-A cable with a brick?

USB-C to USB-C supports ThunderBolt 3 and USB 3.1. So faster data transfer and charging... USB-A does not support this... I think....

So then, why put a USB-C port on a wall charger? Just so you can use the same USB-C to USB-C cable?

Yeah I guess so... USB-C will be universal soon enough anyway so this will no longer be a worry haha!

NOVA 3 USB-C hub to All

I have bought an Ugreen all in one USB type-c adapter. Seems like this device doesn't support USB C to HDMI, VGA or Ethernet. Well the USB 3.0 ports are working only. Is there any way to be able to use those ports on these device. P.S I don't know whether USB Type-c 2.0 supports HDMI, VGA or Ethernet.
