Hey guys
Is there any way of getting samsung pay in unsupported countries? Via root/custom rom/VPN or any other thing?
it would be pointless in an unsupported country as it relies on the banks being actively signed up to the pay app, like in the UK Samsung pay is supported, but my bank only lets people sign up to Google and Apple pay, the card just comes up as invalid in Samsung pay due to no support from the bank.
so if you want it to work you would also need an account with a bank likely outside your country that support samsung pay.
so you probably can get the app, but that is the easiest bit of the problem as the security built into pay apps they have to activated and supported by the bank, it's not like paypal or other services where it just charges a card, it is actually an authorized independent payment method controlled by the bank and not the app.
on android you are better just sticking to Google pay it has a much wider selection of banks that support it due to it being a larger firm and user base as it can be used across all android. but as I said all these pay apps rely entirely on your bank actually supporting the app and them authorising the app as a valid payment method. to activate google pay when I change phones I actually have to talk to my bank before I can make any payments.

It kinda sells itself, but after losing $350 due to someone receiving my item, Delivery confirmation confirming it and PayPal still refunding their money, I have decided to make the transition to other means of accepting payments.
They have a failsafe method like PayPal (link), and they charge no fees, without having to use an unsafe "gifting" method.
It wouldn't be too hard to implement, and it would help those of us who want a safe method to pay without the unfairness of paypal.
agreed. Haven't used paypal in a couple of years, except when using a CC without logging in. No way I'd ever give them a chance after I got shafted on an ebay sale...
Can you give an example link to donate?
At the moment the system uses an e-mail address to build a PayPal URL. I don't know the limitations of the plugin we used for this, nor if we can implement it, but this info might help.
Thanks
Dave
Sure, It is outlined here. You need an amazon account, but once signed in, you go here
I think it would help people hesitant of using PayPal and their corrupt practices. You send money for free, and you have a net to protect yourself.
I've heard you mention this before, just checked out the website and looks like a good, viable alternative.
Do you know if it's a worldwide thing, or just limited to the US? Amazon won't ship anything to Australia, so I'm assuming this won't work with an Australian credit card or bank account. I couldn't see much relating to International users.
I like that there's no fees involved turnaround time on withdrawing funds to bank accounts isn't too flash though

Money transfer services are currently only available in the United States

A shame, it looks a viable competitor to Paypal, and I'm sure many people would use it, given most people have bought from Amazon anyway.

Cheers Pulser, must've had a 'boy look'
If it were International I'd jump on it in a heartbeat. Very much over paying PayPal's ridiculous fees and losing both money and phones. I'm out about $1700 thanks to PayPal.
Hopefully, it's only a matter of time...
It's been two years and until yesterday, I was still able to use my Australian credit card to purchase apps in their USD price by setting a US billing address in Google Wallet. But today it failed. This means, I will no longer able to purchase US market-only apps in the future.... sad.
Last year it were all good, I can even buy music in this way (through VPN + Market Enabler). Since this year, I found Google has gradually blocked fake address non-US credit card from buying in US Play Store. And all market enabler apps have been removed from Play Store now.
I'm just wondering, at this stage, is there still any way to purchase in US store, in US dollar, if you don't have a US credit card? Many thanks!
btw, my Galaxy Nexus is rooted, and I still have a copy of market enabler app. Any comments will be appreciated.

update:
in Google Wallet, the error message saying like this. Is that possible this issue caused by other reason?
Google has cancelled your order. You won't be charged.
Reason: Took too long to deliver
Comments from Google: "auto cancelation"

I don't think there's a way. A legal way, at least.
Have you tried using on of those prepaid (online) creditcards?
If you want to buy a tablet from the store, get a US address via a service such as bundlebox.com and have it delivered there before shipping to your country.
I have the same issue, I already have access to the US Play Store using DroidVPN but when I tried to get the free stuff it gives me an error... I tried using the Paypal test cards and did not work for the free stuff.. have you been able to work this out?
Thanks!
I read this article today, some highlights:
The carriers, and to a lesser extent the banks, are threatened by a rival mobile payment system from Google Inc , which plans to bring its Google Wallet to Canada.
Currently offered via Nexus S phones on Sprint Nextel Corp's U.S. network, Google Wallet cuts the carrier out of the equation and does not charge merchants or the credit providers either a fee or a cut on purchases. Instead Google uses the system to collect transaction data for targeting ads to the individual consumer, a red flag for the banks.
In the United States, three big carriers have struck deals with three banks for the Isis payments venture and launched pilots in two small markets. But the partners still must persuade millions of merchants to upgrade their payment readers to enable them to work with smartphones, something the Canadian banks and carriers don't need to worry about.

So there is hope for us, I hope Google will succeed.
Not sure how well the banks will take the loss from not charging fees to the merchant, or probably the end user...
This article seems really old. It mentions only the nexus s

Has anyone used FastGSM before? What was your experience with them?
I'm trying to SIM unlock a Samsung Galaxy S4 i9505 that's locked to EE/Orange/T-Mobile in the UK. The easy method (detailed here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2282683) isn't working for me - it looks like it generally doesn't work for anyone on EE - and I can't get an unlock code directly from EE unless I'm a customer of theirs (which I'm not, hence the need for unlocking!) and have the phone registered to my account. I've ordered an EE PAYG SIM so that I can create an account, register the phone and order an unlock code, but that's going to take up to 10 days after I receive the SIM. So in the meantime I was looking for a faster service.
Enter FastGSM - they have a service on their website here -
http://www.fastgsm.com/en/samsung/galaxy-s4/unlocking/unlock-code
Which claims to unlock Samsung Galaxy S4s instantly using their software over USB (if your baseband version is older than ME1, which mine is) and it's only $14.99. I know, sounds too good to be true so it probably is, but they take Paypal payments and say they have a 100% money back guarantee, so it sounds like I'm covered. I also did a bit of Googling and, yes, found a few complaints about them but way more positive reviews that made the complaints seem par for the course.
Except when I clicked to buy the service, it wouldn't just let me pay $14.99 to buy the software. It said I had to buy 'credit' on their website first. I thought, okay, if that's the way it works, then fine, so I bought $14.99 of credit, which involved creating an account with them. Then I went to buy the software again and, now that I'm signed in with an account, it wants me to checkout using Paypal - there is no option to use the credit. If I go to my account I can see that the credit is there and there's a drop down list of services I can buy with it but the S4 unlocking software is not on the list.
So I contacted customer services, basically saying 'Hey, I'm trying to buy the S4 unlocking software but your website redirected me to buying credit first. How do I use the credit to buy the software?' Their response was a link to the instructions on how to use the software. That's great, except I don't have the software yet. So I contacted them again, restating that I have not yet been able to purchase the software, I only have credit in my account, how do I use that to buy the software? And they replied saying 'Yes, you have credit in your account. Here are the software instructions again.'
So this is quite infuriating because now we're going around in circles. I'm not sure whether there's a language barrier here (I think they're based in China?) or they're deliberately misunderstanding me but I'm not sure how many ways I can say 'Your website has taken my money but won't let me have the thing I'm trying to buy.'
Does anyone know how to use their website to buy this service using credit? Otherwise I'm going to have to seek a refund and get an unlock code the long way round, through EE.
UPDATE - I tried logging out of my account and going back to the website as though I was a new customer. When you click 'Buy' for this software option, without logging in, it takes you to a page that says 'Your shopping cart is empty. Why don't you buy some credits?', which is why I thought I had to buy credits before I bought the service. However, if you create an account first, then go to buy the software, it does allow you to purchase directly using Paypal, which is what I wanted to do in the first place. So it seems like there's a bit of a glitch/oversight on their website, which is forgivable, but I'm now hesitant to buy the software because then I'll have effectively paid for it twice and I'd have to fight for a refund for the credit I purchased with their terrible customer service!
Okay, so after 3 days and 3-4 e-mails to customer service, this is what I've ascertained -
You don't need to buy the software, despite how it looks on the website. The software is freely available on the website, what you're paying for is the unlock code. But you don't buy that directly through the website either. What happens is you sign up for an account on the website, load it with credit, and when you use the software you need to sign in with your account and it generates an unlock code for you (deducting the cost from your credit) and unlocks the phone connected by USB.
I can confirm that it does work and I now have a Samsung Galaxy S4 i9505, previously locked to EE, unlocked and running on 3.
I just can't believe how unclear the website is about how this works, or that it took so many e-mails to customer service for clarification (and even then it wasn't that clear - I had to just go ahead and try the software before I realised how it worked). It's also worth noting that both the Samsung USB drivers and software were considered malicious by my browser (Chrome, but I also tried IE and it said the same thing). That's probably because they're .exe files, rather than being contained in .zip files, but my anti virus also flagged them, which they say is a false positive (let's hope so!).
So while I'm not sure I would recommend the service, it does work.
Im trying to copy debit/credit card and clone it on android or blank card, for payy pass and pay wave use.
Can somebody help

I think that only a part of your plan is possible.
Some banks, allow some of their cards to be emulated on some Android phones. The tech is called Host-based card emulation, Google it if you are interested in the details.
Just find your bank's app on the Play store, or ask them if they support contactless mobile payments, and they will help in the first part of your question.

I think this is not the appropriate platform to ask the second question, due its questionable legality.
If your situation allows, I highly encourage you to ask your bank about the price of more cards per account.
Even if card copying is possible, It definitely needs special hardware, so it will be cheaper, and easier to get one from the bank
