I have been pulling my hair out trying to Pair Bluetooth Devices to my Fire TV - it sporadically detects devices but not constantly & never a Bluetooth Gamepad
On my Fire TV 2 with rbox latest prerooted rom - bluetooth needs to be turned on via adb and it finds and pairs every device... mouse/keyboard and my cheap BT gamepad purchased recently
the command is:
Code:
[B]adb shell
su -c service call bluetooth_manager 6[/B]
Hopefully will help others

Hello everyone!
I need a way to connect to my Fire TV from my Nexus 7 via USB and ADB commands or by PC/Mac via Bluetooth.
Currently I'm stuck in a hotel and I forgot to bring my bluetooth remote.
The hotel requires a login to access their WIFI network. I'm stuck at the main screen on the Fire TV and I'm looking for a way to control it with what I have.
I have with me a USB to Micro USB cable with my Nexus 7 tablet (which unfortunately will not connect to my Macbook Pro).
Is there a way to run ADB commands on my Nexus 7 to process keyevent commands to control my Fire TV to connect to their WIFI network? From there I can then just use my tablet or phone to remote control the Fire TV. Or is there a way to remotely connect to the Fire TV via bluetooth from the laptop?
Unfortunately the closest tech store is around 150 miles so I'm kind of screwed for the next 6 days.
Any assistance will be most helpful and appreciated.
Thank you.

Have you tried this:
http://www.aftvnews.com/how-to-remotely-control-an-amazon-fire-tv-or-fire-tv-stick-via-adb/
Since the Fire TV stick has no usable USB port to speak of, we can't just plug in an IR dongle.
Some people have had success using HDMI-CEC and their TV remote control. However, my Olevia 232 TV doesn't seem to support the CEC protocol.
Has anyone had any luck using a PS3 remote? Has anyone tried using a Harmony PS3 adapter, or IR2BT bridge?
My thoughts were to build an Arduino device using BT shield setup to use the keyboard profile or Joystick profile; and couple that with an IR receiver.
I have successfully side loaded the settings.apk. I am able to pair a BT PC keyboard. I have seen reports that even some Samsung TV's don't support CEC protocol. So even if officially none of this works, I might be able to Pair one of the devices mentioned above with settings.apk.
Well, I had to side-load the settings.apk. In doing so, I could pair a bt keyboard and a bt media remote control by Satechi. Unfortunately, only PLAY/Pause and the home key do anything. But it's a star. The Forward and back buttons don't seem to work. However, I wonder, if they sent ff and rewind commands; if it would respond.
This gave me the idea to pair the Fire tv remote to my phone.
I was able to pair the Fire TV stick remote to my phone, and tested all of the key buttons .
Amazon Fire TV Remote
ButtonKeyCode
Up19
down20
left21
right22
back4
Home?
menu82
Rew89
Play85
FF90
I wonder if I rename a device to `Amazon Fire TV Remote` if it will accecpt paring in the normal Fire TV settings menu.
With my gen1 firetv or firetv stick, I can't get them to pair with the Microsoft Mobile Mouse 3600 (bluetooth). I have settings.apk loaded and when I click to search for devices, the mouse doesn't appear in the list.
If I turn on the bluetooth on my Nexus 6P, the firetv can see the phone and the phone can see the mouse, so the mouse is working. Do I need root to pair a mouse to firetv?
Could the bluetooth on the mouse be too new (Bluetooth 4.0 / 4.1 Bluetooth Low Energy)? I think the gen1 firetv / stick is still on android 4.2 and maybe that version is too old? I fired up my old Samsung Skyrocket (4.1) and it too can't see the mouse. I think the gen2 firetv is on android 5.x. So I wonder if/when gen1 gets that upgrade, it will help. I now see that the mouse specs asks for Android 4.4.2/5.0. Crap.
Well, I upgrade to 5.0.3 and it still doesn't see the mouse.
I flashed cm11 (4.4) onto my 4.1 skyrocket phone and now that phone can see the mouse. So definitely the mouse is OK and I just need amazon to fix their firmware.
FireTV now on official 5.0.5 and still it can't see the bluetooth mouse. I'm starting to think that bluetooth mice are not supported.

BT mice are supported, at least some of them are.
My Apple Magic Trackpad (1st gen) pairs with no issue.
My Apple Magic Mouse (1st gen I think - its from 2008) does not pair but is detected, It's my understanding that this issue is related to the Apple hardware.
Those are the only BT mice I have access to, but it is proof that there is some BT Mice support in 5.0.5 (I've paired it to FTV2 and FTV Stick).
However the mouse toggle app works better than a trackpad for me at least.
I posted a similar problem in General (my mistake I would guess.)
The problem for me is only on the Fire Stick but my Fire TV works fine. My next step is to reset the Fire Sticks to factory and see if it helps. I have had the sticks from before Bluetooth was officially supported and long ago I altered lots of things attempting to make a mouse work. Maybe something was left broken.
From the other post:
"I have 2 Fire Sticks. Neither will discover either a Microsoft Arc Touch BT mouse nor a Logitech MX Anywhere Mouse 2 in Bluetooth mode. Fire OS v. 5.2.1.2
Both mice happily pair with my brand new Fire TV (non-stick.) Fire OS 5.2.4.0
Can anyone suggest a fix? Thanks in advance. "
Does any one have a settings.apk that will work for Fire OS 5.0.5? I am attempting to connect my bluetooth sony nsg-mr5u, but I cannot without the stock settings.apk. I am rooted, so there should be no problem installing it.
Found a way to add the remote using Bluetooth Pair in the Play store. It will pair, but won't connect.
I am able to pair Bluetooth devices Using fire TV. Do not need any software. I am on 5.0.5. My Bluetooth mouse to be more specific.
Delivered by my Silver S7.
ps: I'm brazilian, so..english it's not my main language.
I double posted this on /r/fireTV/ and /r/firetvstick sub on Reddit
Everyone, all good? It's been a year since I've had this problem, let's see if anyone knows.
So...i want to connect my ds4 controller with my 2nd generation Fire Stick
The fire tv stick has compatibility with bluetooth devices and third party controls. I've read a lot of tutorials explaining the procedure, basically I'd just add the control, going to the fire pairing menu, and pressing the 'share' + 'home' button on the dualshock. Anyway fire finds the control, but it can not match ..
I already had the first generation Stick, and although the DS4 did not match the standard menu ... I succeeded through this tutorial:
Software ADB FIRE > Get your mac address with this command: settings get secure bluetooth_address Download and install sixaxisPairToolSetup-0.3.0 Connect your controller via usb to your pc, run the tool, and change the master address to your fire stick's address.
Put your dualshock4 in pairing mode and scan for bluetooth controllers with your fire stick DO NOT SELECT IT. Turn off your controller by holding the (ps) button Select "wireless controller" on your fire stick Turn back on the controller It should now be connected, and it will be greyed out in the list.
But this procedure does not work for the 2nd fire stick ... I've tried several bluetooth device setup apps installed on the stick itself, but nothing.
PS: 1) there is a way to connect the control, with the 'adb shell' and modifying some command lines, but everyone complains about the terrible performance that the control gets...
2) I have an OTG cable that has an extra USB input, I can connect my DS4 directly to the FireStick, in this case the control works perfectly, but the cable is short, and i want to connect only via bluetooth..
That's it, thank you guys, any help is welcome!
