I will try to be as specific as possible. (I cant post links here yet)
My brother has a Redmi Note 5 Global, the one with Snapdragon 636, i think its the whyred codename. Few weeks ago, it randomly rebooted and got stuck at mi logo, he never unlocked bootloader or messed with anything.
At first i told him to look for a service center, but since we are at Brazil, there is no official one, so he sent to three different people, none of them was able to help.
He already bought a new phone, but i want to repair this one, started yesterday my research.
First thing that i tried was Test-point, and sucessfully flashed the anti_test_note5 rom with ARB removed(if you google this, it will be the first result). But it still got stuck at mi logo, absolutely nothing changed, so i tried to flash this rom: "whyred_global_images_V10.2.2.0.OEIMIXM_20190314.0000.00_8.1_global_b097ed1b3b.tgz"
But i don't have EDL auth, so i searched online and found a "firehose" that let me flash the rom without auth.
Sucessfully flashed the new rom, but its still stuck at mi logo.
The next step i am going to try is to flash this rom, that i think is the latest one: "whyred_global_images_V10.3.1.0.PEIMIXM_20190522.0000.00_9.0_global_8201319a7e.tgz"
Anyone here can help me?
If any information is missing, just ask
Thanks in advance
Edit: Tried the latest rom and it still wont work, can i try lineage os rom?
Clean flash it, wipe everything except internal
First flash the miui 10 with pie global then flash any custom rom, use orange fox twrp only

Update: Asked the same question on a website, and some dude told me to try to flash TWRP, Magisk and Dm-verity disabler.
Did a little research about dm-verity, and maybe its it that is messing with this phone. To verify this, i booted into fastboot to see the device status through the command line: fastboot oem device-info
Got this result:
(bootloader) Verity mode: true
(bootloader) Device unlocked: false
(bootloader) Device critical unlocked: false
(bootloader) Charger screen enabled: false
OKAY [ 0.008s]
finished. total time: 0.010s
Does that means that dm-verity is what preventing me to boot?
And if that is true, how can i circumvent this?

Hello guys,
my Oneplus 3 is hard bricked, I tried the methods in the Mega Unbrick guide, my device already gets shown as Qualcomm 9008 ... in Device Manager, so I started the MSM DownloadTool and it flashed anything without errors. But when the phone reboots I get a black screen and the white led is on.
I can't even boot to stock recovery (Volume down + power doesn't work and rebooting to recovery through fastboot doesn't work, too....) my bootloader is locked and all attempts to unlock the bootloader are failing with the error "remote: oem unlock is not allowed"
So at the moment I'm stuck in fastboot and nothing else works -.-
Can someone please help me?
The unbrick tool has an old firmware, can I replace the files with files from a newer firmware?
Thanks!
Have you tried the exact steps from Method 2? Maybe unzip it? If that doesn't work which is highly unlikely then there is not much you can do.

Yeah I tried it as I said, the MSM DownloadTool showed me Completed and the phone tried to boot up after that.
I'm now contacting the OP Customer Support, I've read a few times that they have other files to unbrick the phone with the MSM Tool.

Ye thats the only thing you can currently do... May i ask what you have done how did it get bricked?
I just updated AICP ota and after flashing the update my phone didn't boot up. The screen went black immediately.
So I thought that it is maybe a Problem with the ROM and I tried to go back to stock.
Flashed the stock recovery and locked the bootloader, but I couldn't boot to the stock recovery.
There it started...
Switch off the phone, connect usb ,open unbrick tool full ( method 2),Press vol up,down and power buttons same time ,tool will recognize phone then start , you must unbrick now.
NEVER LOCK YOUR PHONE.

Please read, I already did that.
The tool completed it successfully, but still black screen after a reboot.
Only the LED is flashing white.
I already contacted the support, they will do it remotely tomorrow.

Never but never lock your bootloader...
If recovery, boot or system partition is modified. There's no harm in re locking otherwise..

I'm assuming your device is OnePlus3 and not 3T
Okay. Firstly give a try to Oneplus3 openbeta Nougat special edition.
Oneplus3 : http://downloadmirror.co/Wa9/O2N_OBT_15801_OXYGEN_SIGN_wipe.zip
Method 1 : specific recovery for open beta24 available in Oneplus downloads
https://downloads.oneplus.com
Find legacy roms and find openbeta 24
Method 2: latest TWRP
If your bootloader is locked this isn't gonna work. But if it is still in unlocked .
Download TWRP for Oneplus3 from official TWRP site
Flash the recovery you choose using fast boot.
Now using asn command, try to flash the special edition.
Mostly this solves your issue. It helped me.
Let me know whether you face any issues.
Note: in this method you may lose every data you have on the phone. It boots up (if at all ? ) with fresh firmware and fresh storage (sometimes)

The file I gave link to is a special edition by Oneplus for Openbeta-Nougat. You can go to Nougat from any rom.
Rom: http://downloadmirror.co/Wa9/O2N_OBT_15801_OXYGEN_SIGN_wipe.zip
Specific recovery should be downloaded from Oneplus website.
You can sideload using adb or store internal storage and flash.
I tried with latest TWRP recently and it worked.
Note that all your data gets wiped if you use oneplus-recovey and asn sideload

Yes, it won't stick at 60% with this beta. I'm not the owner. It was provided on Oneplus forums. Try that one and tell me the result. It is a signed zip. So it will work on official Oneplus-recovery

Simply reboot to recovery and say yes to wipe every data.
Note1:
all your internal data is wiped in the method I suggested. I can recall there is a method to recover data only if bootloader is unlocked. If your bootloader is locked there is no other way.
Note2: your data will be formatted to f2fs file system. If you want to flash any custom ROM, YOU SHOULD CHECK COMPATIBILITY WITH F2FS in that ROM forums.
It's better to always have EXT4 file system. You can change this file system with TWRP

Even if the bootloader is locked, you can boot into the current rom and unlock simply by going to advanved options.
It is a very simple process.
Hi Guys. I have a problem with my Mi Max 32/3gb. After OTA update it stucks on bootloop while the boot loader was locked and unrooted. I tried every method found in c.Mi.com and xda websites. nothing helped me to overcome this problem. I could enter to fastboot and also EDL modes, I also opened the back cover to remove the battery and shorting the test points but no luck. In fastboot mode I got error because the bootloader was locked, while in EDL mode I could successfully flash the fastboot roms including Ch_Dev, Ch_sta, Glob_Dev, and Glob_sta, but after turning on the phone, it shows bootloop again and again. But on time accidentally my phone loaded on boot and came alive (I don't know how!!). this time I first signed in with my mi account and applied for unlocking bootloader, then factory rested the device to see if it boot-up again or not. unfortunately it again stucked on bootloop. After unlocking the bootloader, I tried recovery roms using mi PC suite beta (Chinese version) which got error says something like your bootloader is locked (but it is not), Also I tried loading recovery rom using TWRP which the procedure stucks at "package_extract_file took 00s" for about 60mins and nothing happen. the only differences between all of these methods is bootloop at MI logo, bootloop at Mi logo and android logo with three blinking dots, freeze at MI logo, and freeze at Mi logo and android logo with three blinking dots. Any Idea?
Clear data after flashing, also only use save userdata when flashing fast boot rom

Thank you for your reply. Tried before but not helped.
I can flash fast boot rom successfully in Fastboot and edl modes using Mi flash tools beta and also Mi PC suit without any error, but the phone cannot boot and still freeze at mi logo and some time bootloop. Flashing recovery rom is not possible in recovery mode even using TWRP and Mi PC suit, freeze in the beginning of flashing. How can I check to see if all necessary files of fast boot rom were copies to memory? I thing some thing force memory to lock especially in recovery mode!!!!
Any idea?
Maybe you should unlock the bootloader?

i know, i just went back to miui9 from nitrogen oreo last week, my bootloader was unlocked too. but mine also couldn't boot past mi logo, so i tried everything like you did, the only thing worked for me was to re-unlock bootloader, flash fastboot rom, clear data in recovery, reboot.

Ok, so I am getting close here... I think...
I am able to flash China 9.6.11.0 via fastboot and the phone will boot up fine and works on AT&T now.
However I've tried to flash the global 9.6.6.0 several times in different ways in TWRP and nothing ever works, It just boots up at sits and the 3 dots android screen forever.
Is there something special I have to do to flash 9.6.6.0 over 9.6.11.0? (I have not flashed anything with antiroll back)
I've tried formatting data and not formatting data, pretty much does the same thing and I have to fastboot flash back to china 9.6.11.0
Try flash Magisk 17.1 after flashing rom
Follow this guide, fastboot 9.6.11.0 instead of 9.6.12.0: here

Looks like i spoke too soon. While the procedure worked flawlessly, I still have a broken radio somehow that wont allow me on the network.
I never had issues like this with my other Xiaomi phone. sheesh....
Today morning, I started facing bootloops on my whyred (running Pixel Experience pie latest).I clean flashed PE but couldn't boot into it. Phone would be stuck in bootloops. I changed roms to Potato OS,AICP,Descandent,Syberia,RR etc. but none could boot. All of them would get stuck in boot loop. ( I clean flashed all of them, wiping even my internal storage each time) Then I tried clean flashing Global MIUI latest stable, it boots but my sim cards are not detected and wifi doesnt turn on.Therefore, I was unable to log in to my mi account to verify the device.I tthen downloaded the latest stable MIUI (global) fastboot rom, using the mi flash tool i tried flashing, mi flash tool gave an error:
Code:
Flash antirbpass error
I checked the logs and it said:
Code:
echo current device antirollback version is greater than this package.
I am on anti 4, the rom is anti 4 compliant...why this error. Please help!
Also why was every other rom bootlooping?
Edit1: I still have access to fastboot and TWRP.
Edit2: On the latest Indian beta, It says my IMEI and mac address is not available ( possible curroption) that explains the sim card and wifi not working. Any fix for this?
Edit3: I am now able to boot properly into MIUI (latest Indian developer build) I just need to repair my IMEI and Mac now...has any1 got any idea on how I am supposed to fix it?

You we're running PE ROM without problems, what did you do in your device that started to bootloop?

If you have adb and fastboot installed system wide, uninstall it . Reinstall drivers from xiaomi miflash and try again. It looks like your efs partition has been corrupted. If you have twrp backup of stock rom, use it.

Hello worlds numero 1 community and gang of nerds
Few days ago i bought Mi 11 5G NE, almost new and looks like it too. Off course when it works too good u have to ruin it, or even make it harder for urself, so the strory goes like this:
Unlock Bootloader - that went well and its done, even installed TWRP and played little while but then it hit and didnt know what to do anymore, tried flash some Rom and now it just says FASTBOOT, u try power off - FASTBOOT, u try recovery - FASTBOOT.
Now i have tried flash and boot trough fastboot, but everything ends on error. Have tried different versions of TWRP and nothing work - error - FASTBOOT - error - FASTBOOT.
At some point i noticed that Mi 11 Lite 5G NE (lisa) vs. Mi 11 Lite 5G (renoir) are mixed in many guides and sites, recoveries, roms etc. so i dont know is that what happened but reason could be in mirror too...
So what to do know? i just get FASTBOOT mode, wwhat ever i do, tried XiaoMiTool V2 fix, it loaded the Rom but and tried and tried but nothing.
i just like to have recovery like TWRP, rooted and custom rom, please dont tell me its just dream now?? ;(
PLEASE - help me!
Are you sure yours is Xiaomi 11 5G NE? Coz that phone doesn't exist. If your phone has 778G, then it's Lisa aka Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE. Also, which ROM did you try to flash? Share the link.
try to use miflash and flash stock rom but remember to check "clean all" ONLY. DO NOT check "clean all and lock" cuz that might screw up your phone even more
just flash fastboot rom.
