Hey guys,
I was wondering if anyone has any ideas how I can automate motion sense being on and off.
I use Macrodroid and want to create an automation where if connected to my car Bluetooth it turns on motion sense so I can use the skip song gestures.
I'm struggling to work this out...
Alternatively is there a way I can create a shortcut to settings, system then motion sense?
I would appreciate any help!
Thanks

You can create a widget with nova launcher to take you right there. Just have to use activity widget and not an action widget.
This is obviously assuming you're using nova launcher.
You can use activity launcher to create a shortcut to the same location as well. Activity launcher should let you use the shortcut on the pixel launcher if that's what you're using, but I haven't tested this to be sure.

Hey guy,
Could you share which NFC launchers you guys are using ? So far I've tried a few but haven't been able to find any to enable the GPS.
Thanks

i don't think anything can enable the GPS properly yet, not even tasker.
I'm sure someone else will probably correct me, but the way i found to do it was use NFC Task launcher, tasker and secure settings.
nfc launcher launches a tasker task.
tasker uses secure settings to be able to access the GPS settings. which then allows tasker to turn the GPS on/off when prompted to by nfc task launcher.
would be good to find an easier way though.

I'm adding GPS into NFC Task Launcher soon (you just have to make it a system app for it to work - so root required). It's already added and working, but probably won't make the next release - after that though.
When can we start using NFC to pay for McDonalds

Does anyone else have the problem that direct dial shortcuts are not working (created by custom launcher like LauncherPro or ADWlauncherEX). I can create the shortcut but it doesn't initiate anything when I press it. Can anyone confirm if they are having the same issue? If so, does anyone know how to fix this on the stock ROM?
I know I can place a direct dial widget on the home screen but that's not what I'm looking for.
Thanks!

Running AOKP and Nova launcher, working fine.
not to be master of the obvious if you already tried/know this, but they're widgets now... long press home screen, click Add to Desktop, then swipe over to widgets and viola....

Thanks for the feedback but as mentioned in my original post I am aware of the widgets option. I was specifically wondering about direct dial shortcuts created with custom launchers. It's confirmed NOT working with LauncherPro Plus or ADWex but Nova Launcher is working fine (thanks for the tip Aerowinder). Must be a problem with these specific launchers. If anybody can add to the list of which Launchers have this feature working please share. I wonder if it's a problem specific to the S3 or android 4.0.4 in general....

I am having the same problem with LauncherPro Plus. As a workaround, i'm using the contacts widget, which is one extra click, but better than nothing until this works.
Hi !
I had the same problem before, maybe you'll find some help on this topic.
I flashed beanstalk on my rogers note 2, and I'm loving it. But I basically want to replace the dock with the "Pie" feature. The only issue I am having is figuring out how to launch the app drawer (where you choose what app you want to open) from Pie itself. I know I can just make a shortcut on the home screen, but it seems I can launch anything from Pie except for the app drawer. Any help would be appreciated. Couldn't find an answer anywhere, so I'm asking here. Thank for the help
What launcher are you using? I can set it using Nova Launcher.
Really? I am using Nova and have not found any options to do with the pie feature
Go into the Nova settings and chose gestures and buttons and set home button to app drawr. Then you can just do the same pi gesture you used to get home to open the drawer
That worked, I can't believe I couldn't figure that out and it was that easy -_- thanks man appreciate the help
Hello everyone. I have a question. Have you guys ever found an app or widget that takes you directly to Bluetooth tethering or turns on Bluetooth tethering in a single step? I don't want to use Wifi tethering if possible... That's why I would like to know if this is possible...
Thank you in advance.
Kind regards,
Kent.
Anyone? I'd love to know how to get to this menu ASAP!
If you are using Nova launcher, you can long press on your home screen and select Shortcuts > Activities > Settings > Tethering and Networks
If you aren't using Nova, there are a number of apps on the play store that will let you create activity shortcuts like this as well.
Hi, is possible to create a widget with zooper with multiple tabs in one page?
Example:
I did create something like that once using Tasker to control what was shown by the widget for the various tabs. To be honest it lagged quite badly due to everything having to wait for Zooper's update cycle. Tabs are better off being set up in the launcher itself, I would recommend Lightning launcher as being great for this sort of stuff

A way to do this is by creating a seperate widget for every tab you want and use Nova launcher with Desktop/Scroll Effect set to Wipe.
This works when swiping left or right, not by actually tapping a button.
Then when you swipe left or right only those parts of the widgets that are different will change on the screen.
This is how I did it with some widgets I made for my OnePlus One:

I assume your Bluetooth icon changes when on/off? How were you able to get that set up? Is it possible without Tasker?

Those are Power Toggle widgets on top of the Zooper template, I'm using Nova launcher with widget overlap.
