I cannot get the samsung visual voicemail apk to run on my sm-n976n.
For some background, I have an unlocked sm-n976n that has been been rooted and twrp installed via @dr.ketan 's method. I'm on the Verizon network.
From Phone Info:
bootloader: N976NKSU1AsJF
PDA: N976BxxS1ASJ6
CSC: N976NKOU1ASJE
I am also running Dr. Ketan's rom, hence the "N976B" PDA code.
So far, I have tried sideloading and installing the app. I get a "not supported" toast when trying to run the app. I've also tried installing by manually inserting the apk into the system apps folder. The app runs and shows me permissions etc. then goes to a blank screen that says "visual voicemail is not supported on this network. Contact your service provider..." I have no voicemail funcionality whatsoever. How in hades do I get this thing to work?

I recently rooted my stock ATT 4.3 UCUEMJB with CF-AutoRoot which worked like a charm. However I get my work email on this phone which uses Google Apps Device Policy. I now regularly get the "Account Action Error" error constantly, though my email is still working fine. Clicking on the error simply takes me to the download page for Google Apps Device Policy (which of course I have).
Any suggestions on what to try? Thanks!
[Q] [HELP] "Unfortunately, Samsung Keyboard has stopped"-cannot use keyboard anymore!
Background:
1). I had NE6, rooted, KNOX 0, stock ROM
2). I upgraded to NF4 following the processs from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/not...udnf4-extracted-stock-firmware-t2834398/page3
3). Upgrade was successful, still rooted, KNOX 0
But now I have 2 BIG problems:
1). Cannot use keyboard AT ALL
"Unfortunately, Samsung Keyboard has stopped" keep popping up every few seconds. I simply cannot use the keyboard at all. I tried hard reset and wipe cache, but no matter what, it still happened.
2). APN removed
Usually, I can take my SIM card to any phone and the APN will be automatically added to that phone. Now, the APN is gone from my Note 3 - nothing is showed. This is the original APN, that supposedly CANNOT be edited or remove.
Can anyone assist, or is my phone hosed at this point?
Reflash the NF4 CSC file found in this thread using Odin. It should fix your issue.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2834398
Afterwards use Samsung Phone Info app to check if Correctly flashed. Under the Firmware Version to check if everything there says version NF4. Link to app below.

I have a new (to me) Samsung S4 mini, SGH-I257 on Straight Talk. I've successfully rooted it using kingroot, and have the xposed framework installed. On many Straight Talk devices, the carrier listed in the notification bar reads "HOME". I've tried several xposed modules that claim they can remove/edit the carrier text, but I've been unsuccessful. I can change the carrier text on the lock screen, but I can't seem to remove or change the "HOME" on the notification bar. Can anyone help?
Have you tried xblast xposed module?
I have a S4 SM-S975L from Straight Talk laying around. It was my wife's phone before I convinced her to switch to Tmo with a S7.
I would like to know if its possible to install firmware for the T-Mobile SGH-M919 on to the SM-S975L
THANKS!!!!
If the model # is identified in the ST phone as the sm-s975L, a stock m919 ROM from sammobile.com can't be flashed to the phone.
@audit13 Well in the about device its says sm-s975L, BUT if connected to a PC while in TWRP recovery it shows as SGH-M919
The real model # is found in download mode, not in the ROM settings.
Ok. Just checked that. It shows sm-s975L
What options do I have with this phone???
I'm not familiar with the phone but if it has a locked bootloader, there is not much you can do in terms of custom roms.

You will need to unlock the phone the easiest root for this phone is Towel root. TowelRoot is an APK that you install directly to the phone from the web, and it roots the phone without help from the computer. So if you want root access on the SM-S975L, TowelRoot is the way to go.
First you’ll need to allow 3rd party apps to be installed. To do this, go into settings, tap “More” in the top right, select “Security” and check the box next to “Unknown Sources”. This will popup a warning message, just tap “OK”.
Then, on your phone, go to https://towelroot.com/
Click on the lamda icon in the middle of the page, and this should download the APK file to your phone.
Run the application. You may receive a warning about it trying to violate certain security policies, but that’s sorta the whole point, isn’t it? Just acknowledge the error and continue.
The process should complete and notify you that the SM-S975L has been rooted. If your phone reboots, something went wrong.
I'm having a couple of problems with my phone that appear to possibly be due to being rooted. The first is I seem to be missing the blue light filter option in my settings. The second is I am unable to use carrier billing, it says that my device is not configured for it. I have contacted TMO and they assured me there were no blocks preventing it.
Setup:
Firmware: OCSX 27.1.3 (no OTA updates available)
Rooted 8.0 on both slots
TWRP installed
Magisk installed
Playstore: 11.4.17-all
