I bought a used G7 and updated it to Android 9 and noticed there is no double tap to wake. How can this be?
Settings - General - KnockOn. Make sure it's turned on.
Knock on is no longer there
Lg devised knockon, why would they remove it? General - extension - knockon
What version of Android are you using? I'm on 9.
Update Issue Solved! : turns out I had an LG G7 Android One which does not support this feature. Only the ThinQ does

Is there anyway to disable this annoying "feature" in D855 ?
I've tries lg brightness patch from play store but it doesn't work.
Phone is rooted.
Put this in the phone app: 3845#*400# and then scroll down to 'high temperature property' and switch to enable and do the same for 'thermal daemon mitigation'. Please note my model is ‘400’ so this will work in the number sequence above. For models with other numbers I am pretty sure you just substitute and put that number in e.g. 855.

To access hidden menu on Sprint LG G3: Dial 5689#*990#.
the KnockOn feature is now On by Default and cannot be switched off.

Yup that menu works but it has no entry for that feature.
That's unfortunate because the phone turns on in my pocket all the time.
Hi,
I've bought an used LG Pad 8.3 which was resetted to default configuration.
For me it's behaviour is very strange. One has to tap long on a widget or button to select and to tap twice to choose it. And a voice tells me all the time what I'm doing...
Because of this behaviour I can't scroll through lists so I am not able to reach any option below "Security" in the settings. I even cannot see the firmware version which is installed.
What do I have to do to get the standard behaviour?

Solved: TalkBack
I have found a way to scroll down and found TalkBack. After switching it off the pad works as expected.
So, I just moved from an "old" G Watch to a SW3 and Smart Lock used to work fine, but now it doesn't work at all. I have a LG G4 with LP and SW3 with current software version. Any ideas?

Did you add the sw3 as trusted device?
Did you remove the lg from trusted devices?
Its working fine on Sony z1 andere current Nexus 5x
Search for "Trust Agents" in settings on the phone. "Smart Lock (Google)" sometimes has to be activated.
I have a G4 on MM and the SW3. Smart Lock is enabled in the trust agent setting. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. It's the same with location based smart locking aswell as location based en/disabling of wifi. The G4 should stay unlocked while I'm at home and still I quite often have to enter the PIN to unlock it. Annoying.
Since I have that behaviour with both smartlock options the G4 seems to be the problem, not the SW3.
what i can think off based on that, that some energy savings settings are turning some wifi/bluetooth off after some time. That way it would ofcourse not be able to tell the smart unlock should be active.
location based smart unlock is weird by the way. google has created predified 'cells' all over the world, as soon as it thinks you are outside you 'home cell' ,even if you don't., it would stop smart unlock. unpredictable at least. Bluetooth device unlock has been much more consistent as long bluetooth is enabled on the phone/BT device.
My Sprint LG G8 just got updated to 10 and I noticed a few things missing :
1) New second screen does not work, nothing happens when clicking on New second screen. Phone is at standard setting, no custom setting like Pie ?
Have to disable night mode to enter second screen
2) Show lock/hide icon is missing or removed in Home Touch button. So, there is no way for app to go full screen ?

Mine works. I use it in conjunction with Notch Remover.

I can confirm this and it sucks! Also my recent apps button doesn't work. Can someone post a copy of the LG Launcher?
3) There is no volume slider in pull down notification panel
