Where can I get the OEM screen protector - Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ Questions & Answers

So I have a Note 10+ and noticed from the factory it comes with a screen protector. Where can I get the same if it gets compromised? Samsung?
Sent from my SM-N975U1 using Tapatalk

Cannot get it. I got one note and the screen protector was damaged right out of the box. They sent me $10 coupon and told me to go buy one from another vendor. They do not have them available for sale and are short. Only being put on new phones

I would like to know too, as it is very, very good indeed, super oleophobic, almost invisible

Yeah not much protection against drops though but something is better than nothing.

Will email Samsung and update once I find out......

Good luck finding the original one from Samsung.
However you can find film screen protectors on eBay which work well.
i have used Aqua flex on my other phones and it has been great as if you apply it correct its decent for the purpose

Ironically, same here like the others. I'd love to buy this OEM protector, and not have to worry about trying to figure out what brand and experiment any longer.. I'm getting old and have better things to do these days..

Unfortunately I gave up a couple of weeks ago and decided to give THIS a try. Excellent screen protector both smooth and doesn't have the rubber feel to it it also doesn't leave permanent marks on the protector like other ones.

Spigen wet installed ones are good

Do you know if they changed it since the Note 9? I tested it with it and it was unfortunately a bit too rubbery, and since the official one is very smooth but easily damaged, I'm a bit afraid.

I've tried multiple protectors and this one seems smooth to me. The most important thing to me that it doesn't create permanent streaks when used with the s pen. I can't comment on the note 9 one since I've never used it. Another plus is it doesn't have the camera cutout. The alignment can be tricky but just take your time and it end results come out great.

Yeah yeah I know there's a lot of topics about screen protectors of the one I'm serious about one that is very slick this very tough to the way I can use a stylus, Yes I'm probably still one you remaining few people who play drawsomething. The one I'm currently using a cut down from a wrapsol that I cut down and made to fit my phone. The one I currently have shows all lot of scratches on scrapes and marks. I want one that will not show any blemishes after taking a beating.

Surprisingly I have some cheap ones like $2 for 5 and it's really good quality. Compared it with a phone without a screen protector and couldn't tell the difference. got it off Amazon, but there are so many different Sellers and different kinds, I'm not sure you'll get the same one. Well ultimately, some cheap protector are just as good as some well known ones.

I'll vouch for Realook also. I used it for my Vibrant and now I'm using it for my S2.
The only downside to this screen protector is it will bubble (without modification) if you're using the D30 case due to the super tight fitment. There's some tricks you can do to avoid bubbling. Just do a search.
Amazon is selling a pair of the screen protectors for a very low price of $12!

Gadget Guard
http://www.gadgetguard.com/
I have this on my, phone, laptop, gps, my kids iPods. I put this on 30 Panasonic toughbooks at work and also about 10 different tablets. I won't buy another product ever again.
Pros: It heals itself if you use a stylus and it leaves makes they will go away, if i get a small scratch in an hour it will be gone. This doesn't include major damage. 100% life time guarantee, whatever the reason, if your gadget guard fails to live up to their high standards they will replace it, free, for the life of your device.
Cons: Dry install was a little tough, Wet install was easier but it is a little scary for electronic devices, If you wet install it will take a few days for all the little bubbles to disappear it goes faster if you let it sit in the sun.

I couldn't agree more. I purchased 1 based off of a post on another topic. And it is her it hi fingerprints you better than anything I've ever used before and I have purchased a ton of screen protectors. In fact, it is almost cut too big and there was one tiny spot where the adhesive wouldn't work. I'm hoping the Amazon seller will replace it if I pay for shipping. Regardless of the faults I just mentioned and the high price, I recommend the hell out of it!

+1 for this. I got one as soon as I got my Nexus and it's done great! It holds up pretty decently against scratches and actually fits the entire screen. It's pretty, and applies flawlessly.
The only bad thing, as mentioned before is fingerprints. They accumulate really quickly and I find myself wiping my phone down every few days.
I use BoxWave anti-glare protectors on all my devices. I like the Teflon-like smoothness they give to the screen, and the slight graininess they add to the display doesn't bother me.
I've not had any problems with the cheap ones off ebay. If you get it wrong, it doesn't matter as they're only around 10p each!

Skinomi Matte Screen Protector

I recently got the HTC10 like many of us and on finding out there are basically no tempered glass screen protectors went looking for a plastic one instead. I came across this one, http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01CIZSANS/ref=cm_sw_r_other_udp_apa_fzUoxbS8HEW8F
The claims it made sounded great; anti-glare, anti-fingerprint and of course anti-bubble.
I've not had much chance to "test" it needless to say I dislike it already.
Anti-bubble it is not. Bubbles got in, after cleaning screen etc, and are near impossible to remove. The bank card I used kept digging in to the protector, didn't matter which angle I applied pressure.
There's a strange snow effect which distracts and significantly reduces clarity.
The positives so far are that it's a nice, soft touch material. It feels like it can withstand scratches easily. Unsure about a drop but I am definitely not testing that.
Cutouts are well placed and only obstruct the light and proximity sensor.
I've ordered spigen branded, they'll be replacing this protector. Phone's screen is protected, that's what matters for now.

Maybe, I followed instructions to the letter.
This is just my experience with it, others will probably be different.
I think most of the issues are down to it being matte instead of clear. I think a different plastic is used too, it wasn't as solid as others I've use in the past.

IQ Shield is also a liquid application screen protector, and I prefer their stuff over Skinomi. With that said. when I use these liquid application screen protectors, I go through the same method as I do with tempered glass.
I apply the screen protector in a really steamy bathroom so to decrease the chances of lint under the screen. I also apply a little bit of the liquid solution on my fingertips and on the front and back of the protector to make application easier. Once that parts done, these liquid screen protectors should be relatively easy to apply (unless you're using a full body one, which can be somewhat difficult). I didn't have any bubbles in mine using this method, and I did a full body wrap. Takes some finesse, but the time and price is well worth it.
If this is a liquid apply protector and you just put it on you'll need to give it time to cure and the liquid to evap. Some but not the big bubbles will go away and the clarity should get a lot better.

I've always found that it's best not to even attempt to smooth out all the small bubbles. The most important thing is patience.
It'll look like crap for the first 48 hours and may even take 5 or 6 days for the haze to go, but it will go. The more you faff around with it, the worse it will look in the end.

To round this out.
I swapped the matte one for a standard clear type one from Spigen.
Difference is night and day. Screen significantly clearer and brighter.
Application was easier overall.
Barely notice it's on the screen.
Doesn't cover as much of the screen as the Skinomi is the main negative.

Otao Tempered Glass Screen Protector Review (New best?)

First off, shoutout to Otao for sending me this screen protector to check out. Now let's just jump into it.
The Good:
The edges are very sticky and have not came off of the phone at all as of yet (I will update this post if they do start to lift). .
The guide for installation is very good and actually clicks into place so there is no confusion as to whether or not it is on right.
The cases that I have fit well with the protector and don't actually touch it. (Spigen, VRS and RhinoShield)
Inside the box there was a bag of "screen protector accessories" (Alcohol wipe, tape and microfiber cloth.)
The glass doesn't take away sensitivity or the force touch home feature.
The not so good:
The Installation guide does seem to put the screen protector just a smidge lower than I would like for it to be. (cuts off a little tiny bit from the top of the screen, nothing that would hinder use.)
The dot matrix is visible in certain lighting but is not a big deal when compared to some of the other protectors I have checked out.
The only issue with the edges is that they are a little thick and will collect dust or lint over time. (this is just a pet peeve of mine)
Black edges
Here are some pics.
Box Contents
Guide and screen protector on.
Side view of thickness.
Finished product.
Verdict:
The screen protector from Otao is on amazon and this is a very good product that is easy to install. At $11.99 this screen protector is well worth the money. Especially when compared to the more expensive ones from places like BestBuy. If you are in the market to buy an affordable screen protector that you can install right the first time then I highly recommend this one. Ease of installation is a big deal for me because there is nothing worse then putting your screen protector on wrong and then trying to reconfigure it. You lose the stickiness and run the risk of breaking it. My favorite tempered glass protector was the Verizon one, followed by Olixar but this one is just as good if not better. If ya'll have any questions let me know.
People say that 2017 is the year of the disappearing bezels. I think it is also the year that the tempered glass screen protector makes a comeback.

I have also been using the OTAO for the past week and like it. The fitting with the tray installation worked well and endured the screen protector was spot on. The glass feels nice and is clear. My only gripe is it easily attracts fingerprints.

I'm impressed with the built in screen protector

I am more impressed with the built in screen protector after one week. I've tried film screen protectors before and they showed marks from the s.Pen this one doesn't (yet). And the fingerprint works fine. I know it doesn't help much if you drop the phone but helps re scratches. I've always found that the glass screen protectors eventually attract dust on the sides. Im also using the included case for now which too is not bad.. What's your thoughts.

I thought it was excellent but mine had to marks underneath out of the box and I was worried that it was the actual display that was marked so I pulled it off and it was the actual screen protector that was marked, been a pain in the arse since getting a protector that is decent
Wish I never removed it :silly:
It would be nice if Samsung provided a service where a new screen protector can be reapplied when original one is worn out.
After a week mine is badly scratched.
Already looking at the options for a replacement, not too keen on tempered glass.
Sent from my SM-T835 using Tapatalk
Its quite nice but mine is scratched all over and I'm not rough on the phone at all. I'll probably just leave it on, scratches and all. I am not wasting money on a Dome or some Tempered Glass solution that is cheaper that isn't going to fit or work well.
I had the S10+ Which also came with a screen protector but I honestly think Samsung did something to improve it - the one that came on my Note 10+ seems better than on the S10+ I had.
For what it's worth, I also don't want to spend the money on Glass - and don't want one where I have to put liquid on the screen to get it to work -I never had any luck with those - BUT, there are some very good plastic screen protectors that work exceptionally well, are easy to install and will make a good alternative if you need to replace the one that came with the phone.
The One I found that I like best is the Otao Screen Protector on Amazon - https://www.amazon.com/OTAO-Protector-Coverage-Friendly-Anti-Bubble/dp/B07VHBNRJP/ref=sr_1_25?keywords=screen+protector+note+10+plus&qid=1567359663&s=gateway&sr=8-25
The Video they posted on amazon definitely helps you install it perfectly and it is very affordable - just over 7 bucks and you get two of them.
Looks good - works great - lasts a long time (It did on my S10+ and I am sure it will on my Note 10+ as well.
THere are others that are also good, but this is the one I found that I like the most. Good luck....

This is the downside of in-screen sensors. I personally like matter screen protectors which don't show marks, fingerprints and look clean. I don't want to buy one for it to not be compatible with the sensor. Any info if matte screen protectors might work?
the glass ones dont work well with fingerprint sensor. I wouldn't waste your money! I bought a 360 deg case and it doesnt work on that either.
Shame sammy doesnt sell the one that came on the phone. Mine protector has a scratch on it already though I was on hols last week and it could've been sand so its saved the screen!

Same, sand and s-view cover bad idea lol. Got fair few pits in the protection.
I do like the built-in screen protector but as other people have mentioned, mine already has scratches on it nothing deep or crazy but it works fine for now. I've pre-ordered a Whitestone Dome, though expensive, I have mastered the process to the point that I don't make a mess. I've been using them since my Note8 and have had no complaints. Hell, it's even protected my screen when I've dropped it face down. The Dome cracked but my screen underneath was intact. I am a bit concerned about the Fingerprint scanner since it's not the greatest at recognizing my fingerprint but ah well.
The tempered glass screen protectors DO NOT WORK !!!!I'm on my third one. The sensor does not pick up.....I may just rock it raw dawg!!
I'm typically not a screen protector sort of person, but it was a week before i even noticed that the note 10+ had one on it.. I'm so impressed i'm leaving it on.
Yeah, I'm staying too on this one untill I buy whitestone dome as always! Hope that it works on this phone too with spigen tough armour; s8, s9+, note 9 works withouth problems!

I've been very impressed with the factory protector as well. Hardly noticeable that it is there.
If they would sell this for cheap i would buy like 10. They get scratch easily but is so clear, finger glide and doesnt leave fingerprint. They only problem would be installation since this plastic screen protectors are a paint to get a perfect installation
