Actually been running a version for I thought was a hacked version made to work. They both have the same Version Number. Was I an others unknowing beta testers?

Vudu has very recently (October 8th) released a 'revamped' version their app and I was wondering if anyone has tried to load that latest version of the Vudu App on the Fire TV/Stick and how well it works?
I tried it and it doesn't work. You still need a mouse to navigate and when you try to play a movie it pops up an error message saying that you cannot use it on a TV. Hopefully they will release an android TV version soon. There were tons of blogs that said they were working on creating an android TV version back in June or July.

No. Vudu finally overhauled their main app which is meant for tablets and phones and added HDX support. It is still focused on tablets and phones but there is talk of them releasing an android TV version... Sadly the latest revision is not compatible with tvs.

Was going to say..... If there was a FTV app, I may get rid of my Roku.

I suspect if it were coming out, it would have by now.
When I launch the Twitch app on my Amazon Fire TV Stick it's the old, super bare-bones version of the app, but when I look under the overview page the pictures are of a newer more shiny version of the app with more features. I guess the Fire TV Stick is stuck with the old version, possibly due to it's spec limitations. I really want the new apk so I can install it on my Nexus Player and my Fire TV stick, but I can't find the apk anywhere online. Could someone please install it on their Fire TV and rip the apk here for me. I would really appreciate it.

I upgraded to 5.0 dev preview and it still installed the old crummy app I done a full reset it now installs the same off the store with the side bar

There isn't one on the Google play store for Android TV, was hoping to use the one for the Fire TV. Version should be 2.0 as of today, also don't be confused with the phone version.

I have been using the beta of Directv NOW on my Apple TV. However, I changed to Fire TV and can no longer use the beta. Is there anyone who can backup (share) the Directv Now beta apk for Fire TV? Since I am already in the beta program I should be able to log in.

The main feature is Cloud based DVR that the original app does not offer. New UI, channels are all in HD.
Hi All
I am in New Zealand (Thats a country in case you are unsure),
I have an Amazon FireTV stick 1st generation
Prime Video Is available in my country, but is only supported on the newer FireTV stick Basic edition*
I have tried sideloading the PrimeVideo app from my phone to the firestick, but i am getting an error saying the app can't be installed, is there someway or somewhere i can find a log of what is failing, eg if there is a dependency missing or I need an older version, or something?
*Note, its a limitation of the Firestick not a setting issue as Prime Video works perfectly on my Apple TV , and in the prime Video app on my phone (and yes i can send the Video to the stick via the phone) and on my computer, If you look under supported devices on the primevideo site only the basic edition is supported, and i'm a cheapskate who doesn't want to spend more money
** Note, I am talking about primevideo.com which is a watered down version of Amazon Prime.
Any help would be appreciated
