Notifications and ringtone settings.

Hey guys. With the LG G3 I had the setting for muting notifications sounds on Android Wear but was able to hear the ringtone on the phone. Now I've switched to G4 and now I don't hear the ringtone. I've noticed on Android Wear that it says "turn phone notifications and ringtone off". Is it in the new update? Becouse at home I like to take the watch off and missing some calls because of that. Is there anyway to turn the notifications off but have the ringtone on?
Thanks.

In 6.0, how do I put device on silent and still receive notifications?

Just like the title says, how do I mute the sounds on my Nexus 7 but still receive notifications in the notification panel? Right now, if I mute the device, it goes into "alarms only" mode and I don't get notifications.
I can mute the alarm sound but I still get notifications! Maybe it's another bug! Did you clean install Marshmallow or did OTA?
I think you misread my post. I don't want the alarm sound muted; I want the notifications sound muted. It's not a bug, it's a feature of Marshmallow that I'm just not familiar with how to setup properly. I came from CM 12.1 and on that ROM you could just turn the volume down to 0 without any sort of Do Not Disturb mode activating.
I just want the device to be silent, but still receive all my notifications on the notification bar.

Lost Ringtones On Incoming Calls

I was running Ressurection Remix 5.1.1 when I noticed there was no sound when a call would come in. I could answer the call and the conversation would be fine just no ringtones will play. I did a factory reset and clean installed and it work for a few hours and then stopped again. I then installed blisspop and the same thing. All sounds work except ringtones. When I go into setting and change the ringtone nothing plays as I choose differnt ones in the list that comes up. This is getting to be a real problem. I even tried wildkernel with no luck. My phone is an AT&T E980 US model.

Weird: alert tone in paralel with ringtone on Android 9

After I upgraded to Android 9 (V20b-EUR-XX, OTA, no modification, nothing custom) something strange is happening:
When someone calls me, the phone rings with the ringtone, but I hear the alert tone as well. It happens right when the ringtone starts: both ringtone and alert tone at the same time, then ringtone continues and alert tone is heard after a few seconds again! I changed the alert tone, because I thought there's something wrong with it, but it happens with other alert tones as well.
It's worth mentioning that I performed a factory reset after upgrading to Android 9. Also, this didn't happen on Android 8.
Hey u r on pie right? Can u upload g7 camera app?
I fixed it with another "Reset to factory defaults", but this time, without restoring any settings from backup. Now the phone works perfectly, I'm very satisfied.

[MIUI 13.0.8] Mute notifications, allow calls

Heya,
so, as the title says, I'm having issues muting the notification and app sounds, while still allowing phone calls to get through and ring the phone out loud.
In the past, this was achievable by the Do Not Disturb mode. Right now however, it doesn't mute notifications anymore, as that is now done by the new "silent" mode. But that one also mutes incoming calls, which is completely unusable for me (I have occasional on-call nights when I need to be available on my phone, even if I'm sleeping, yet find the constant pinging of the apps super annoying).
The only working solution I found was to go into notification settings and block notifications from most of the very frequent apps... Which is annoying, as I also have to not forget to toggle the notifications back the next day.
Is there still a way to achieve the "Mute media and notifications, keep calls" combo in Android 12 + MIUI 13? Thanks!
On most phones the phone ringtone and notification volume is separate, is that not the case in your device?

Unfortunately not, instead, I have media, calls and alarm clock (as seen in the screen).
If I mute media, I still get notification and call sounds. If I mute the bell, I no longer get either. Dnd has no effect on the notification sounds.

This certainly sucks, can't every smartphone company share good things from each other instead of adopting all the bad changes. look around on Google maybe there are apps for this.

Hey have you found any solution? As I'm also struggling with same problem
It sucks, but until they fix it, you can use this app.
On the downside, it not only mutes sound, but completely mutes the notification including the badges , though. Anyone please post if you have a better solution.
i know im late. but i found a fix. (kinda) if you remove your notification sound completely. through settings, notifications and vobrations, notification sound and then while in the themes app. ringtone, and then no romg tone. even tho i thaught it changed the ringtone. if you go through settings first. ot will change the notification sound and not the ringtone. hope this helped
While waiting patiently for A13 ROMs for my current daily driver to mature a bit more I am using a silent audio file for the notification sound. I can't believe all these years MIUI still doesn't have an option to unlink calls and notification volume.
