I have read that the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 series can video output [email protected] using USB-C. Can anyone confirm that the highest video resolution output is 2160p?

I'm looking to go from the Xoom to my truck head unit. So HDMI mini to composite, do they make this cable and which HDMI mini is on the Xoom?
There is no such thing as this cable you ask. HDMI is digital, composite is analog. I assume this is a DVD player or something...long story short, it's not gonna happen. If you wanted to throw down a ton of money you could get a transcoder (possibly).
this could be something for you

The main purpose for the HDMI-COMPONENT is to allow you to connect equipment that has HDMI output (such as laptops, game consoles and Digital-SLR cameras) to televisions or other equipment (such as DVD recorders) that have component video and stereo audio inputs. Supports the following resolutions:
- HDMI Input resolutions:
[email protected], [email protected], [email protected]/60Hz, [email protected]/60Hz
- Component Video Output resolutions: [email protected], [email protected], [email protected]/60Hz, [email protected]/60Hz.

As I'm sure you may already know, the mhl adapter will only output 1080p video at 24hz, good for watching video, not so good for playing games. What I would like to know is this is there anyway to force the s iii to output a specific resolution through hdmi via mhl? I only have 1080p tv's in my house, I would like to use my s iii to play games on them. Is there anyway that I can make the s iii output at 720p when connected to my 1080p monitor so that I can enjoy the full refresh rate?
Hello,
I am trying to determine how to enable the Nexus 7 (2013) to allow screen capture through my Black Magic Intensity Extreme. I have the slimport accessory and can output HDMI to several HD televisions, but not to my Mac. Through my research there are a couple of things that could be stopping me:
1) HDCP encryption
2) Nexus 7 (2013) HDMI output, is it 1080p 60fps?
HDCP cripples the Black Magic Intensity extreme for HDMI video capture and the BM Intensity Extreme only handles HDMI output or input of 1080p 30fps.
I have come to the conclusion I need to root my Nexus 7 (2013), but I don't know crap about this. I am considering rootandroid.com doing this for me. However, how do I manipulate or remove the HDCP encryption and reduce the HDMI output to say 720p 50fps.
Is this possible and or does anyone have any other suggestions?
Are there other Android tablets that allow screen capture better?
I am successfully screen capturing my Galaxy Nexus, but the processor is an issue when running games, lots of lag?
thank you and any help is much appreciated.
Mike

I don't think that will work.

The OnePlus One does not support MHL. It will not work.
Hi,
I have Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 LTE (2048x1536, 4:3 aspect ratio) and would like to connect it to a 4:3 old CRT SD-TV and get tablet screen mirrored in fullscreen since aspect ratios are the same after all.
I've tried Samsung MHL 2.0 HDTV adapter together with a HDMI to AV adapter, and the result is both pillarboxed and letterboxed picture on TV. It seems that MHL adapter always outputs 16:9 picture, thus pillarboxing the original 4:3 content, and then HDMI to AV adapter simply letterboxes the received 16:9 input into 4:3 output as that's the target aspect ratio for this CRT TV.
So, I guess the issue is in MHL adapter converting everything into 16:9 format. However, I 'm not sure if this happens because of input resolution (2048x1536) is bigger than 1080p, or it's just something that MHL adapters do. I haven't tried to pass 1024x768 through MHL as my tablet is not rooted, so if someone could try this and see if that works, that would be awesome!
Is there any workaround around this? I guess changing resolution on the tablet to 16:9 would help eliminate the pillarboxing, but content would still be letterboxed. TV itself does not have any zooming capabilities, btw.
Is there maybe some HDMI scaler/converter/whatever device that can zoom the central part of the image to fit the screen or am I pretty much screwed with this TV?
Thanks!
FWIW, i bought one of these http://www.amazon.com/Updated-Versi..._2?ie=UTF8&qid=1456763189&sr=8-2&keywords=mhl and, to my dismay, it outputs to my 16:9 display(s) in the original 4:3 ratio of the tablets screen. I have been trying to find a way of getting it to output 1080p like I want. Do you happen to know if that official samsung MHL adapter outputs 1080p to a HDTV?
It's been a while (some years) since I worked with digital output to CRT, but if memory serves me correct you need a scan converter for a CRT. Monitors would have these built in, but not a 'normal' TV.
