Hi,
So i have my grans galaxy tab 3 10.1 (5210) as my uncle completely wrecked the charger port whilst drunk.. so i replaced the ribbon cable port for a new one and plugged the charger in before putting the back on to make sure it would charge, which it did, so i unplugged the charger, put the back on then plugged the charger in again.. now its not charging atall.
Im using a samsung charger and cable and have tried the reset buttons (power, vol up & home) aswell as unplugging the battery and holding the power button to drain the capacitors but nothing seems to be working.
Does anybody here have a clue as to what i can di to fix the problem?
Thanks

I tried swapping batteries with a collegue of mine, and my battery on his phone recharges just fine. If I plug it to the AC while turned OFF, the white battery recharging icon / animation shows up...
What can I do?

did you try your friend battary on yours phone !? maybe the charging port is broken on your phone
~~wrong answer.....
Have you reset your battery state?
First try different usb cables, and then try cleaning out the usbport, canned air or a toothbrush will work great. also if you ahve a magnifying lens look inside and see if any of your pins are out of alignment.
My sgt 3 wont turn on. haven't used it about like 2 months, so It has been completly shut down, now when Im trying to charge it it says, "Voltage to low, need to be above 3.4v" And Im charing with an iPad adapter, which should be fine, right? I dont have the original charger.
Actually I dont know what rom I even use, think it was CAGROM, not sure. How do I start it up? Cant get to recovery even..
Do you have another Samsung device? Or any recent device. While it may seem like the USB chargers would all have the same voltage, they do not. I have plugged my Galaxy S5 into the port on a Charger delivered with an iPhone 5s and it charged much more slowly.
I suggest trying a different USB adapter. If it still does not charge you may have to open the Tab unplug and re attach the battery cable.

Yes I've but that is for a Nexus 5 (LG original), and the adapter is pretty small, dont think it's 3.4v in that one. I've tried diffrent cables, and that didnt help.

agdi,
you can try plugging you tab to a powered usb port on your pc.
leave it sit overnight, if you can power it on come morning,
turn off wifi, mute sound, disable location/sync and drop you screen brightness as low as it will go,
then suspend your tab and leave it connected to suck up more of a charge.
your charger needs to be
input 100-240V~ 50-60Hz 0.35A
output 5.3V===2.0A

I got this one charging that my sister dropped off to fix by removing the back un-clipping the battery connector then clipping it back in it back in

Hello, for about 4 months I'm charging the phone with and magnetic Usb cable, today I've bought another one for my other phone and I tested the cable on the Z1 compact and the screen got blank the phone won't power on when pressed the button, I tought I ve bricked the phone, or the battery. Anyway I've pressed volume up and power for about 5-10 seconds and the phone turned on. It seems it works with no problems it charges, BUT the charging led doesnt work anymore. If I recieve a notification it works, all the colors (tested whatsapp, sms, calls), only when I plugged it to charge the led is off.
L. E : I've measured the pins and the new bought cable has the positive switched with the negative. ?
Any suggestions?

Don't use cheap crap.
It started working again . It was my mistake that I didn't checked the polarity of the cable. I will reverse the polarity of the cable.
As above really its not my tab so i know nothing apart from it stopped charging. USB port was damaged so i replaced the port and battery with genuine samsung.
I have a Choetech micro usb lead that displays current Amps and Voltage. When plugged in its at 5.06v 0.00a. When i hold the power button the voltage goes to 4.97v and 0.16a so its drawing power just wont turn on!
Hello fellow Xda forum members, I'm hoping someone can shed a light on what has happened to my Samsung P5210 tablet. Unfortunately this tablet has turned off and will not swtich on at all, my pc & odin don't recognize it. I've charged the battery externally but it won't turn on, & if I plug it into a wall charger the motherboard starts heating up on the upper right hand side of the tablet (under the power button). I've unplugged all flex cables and even changed the power connector cable but to no avail. I've tested the power connector on the mainboard with a voltage pen tester & no voltage passes when the tablet is being wall charged or when the battery is connected. Has any ever had this problem & how did they solve it? I'd really like to recover my files that were on my tablet if it was possible. Thank you for any assistance provided. Rocco
Does your PC recognise it in Device Manager?
Thank you Jespert for your reply. No, unfortunately neither desktop pc's nor laptops recognizie the tablet. I had the chance to bring my tablet to a technician
for repairs and he was able to turn on the tablet externally without using the battery and they kind of think that a transisitor could be at fault as the battery and connectors work perfectly.
maybe display problem? mine won't turn on so I disconnected the display cable and put it back in and it worked
Hi Andrei the Android Guy, thanks for the read & reply. I replaced the flex cable & disconnected the battery connector which worked in the past, so I think I can eliminate all other possibilities (I did unplug all other flex cables just in case). The tablet warms up when charging so I checked up on the internet & it seems that these series of Samsung tablets suffer from power management problems, something which was confirmed from the technician I brought it too for repairs (they managed to boot it up by rebuilding the charging circuit & it worked fine). I'm really griping about the fact that I couldn't copy my files before it turned off.
