Note 2 mobile hotspot

I have the AT&T Note 2 model SGH-I317 rooted using stock ROM.
Don't mean to be redundant if there is a post here that works. Haven't been successful at getting my mobile hotspot active using any methods I've seen on here. Keep getting AT&Ts screen saying I need to call them to add tethering. Anyone direct me?

Anyone using this combo, or another Q-Pair w/non LG phone, does the internet sharing work?

I use it on international s3 with no problem

I used it and it told me the option wasn't available for my phone. I figured it wasn't though since AT&T wants you to pay extra for tethering.

Interesting, I wonder if it will still say that for share plan users.

It should since tethering happens on the phone level. You'd have to do something to your phone to work around Qpair(probably on the phone) for it to work.

Anyone got there G3 to tether?I got the att version and need tethering...thanks I advanced...

I am using PDAnet+ and the Foxfi key (license) that also works with PDAnet+ and I have tethered 4GB since yesterday with no issues. USB and Bluetooth work, I have not tried WiFi tether with Foxfi, as T-Mobile gives 3GB of free WiFi tether so I just use USB to bypass.

im curious about this as well.. i have foxfi and it works great on my s4 in wifi mode.

Thanks drock, it worked...if you have the unlimited data grandfathered, then you are unable to tether...but if your on the new plans, tethering is included...as for me I got the unlimited grandfathered data and this method worked...now I just might keep this G3...but I'm I the edge with this now since they released the G3 prime with the 805 chip set in Korea...thanks again...

Unrestricted Native Tethering

Hey guys I'm looking for a little help. I'm looking to leave Sprint and come to Tmobile for obvious reasons. My question is I saw that Tmobile has unlimited data but limits your tethering to 4 gigs. I've noticed that some ROMs comes with Unrestricted Native Tethering. Does this mod bypass that limit? Because I tether a lot. Thanks in advance

Yes, there are roms that have unrestricted tethering. I'm currently using Darthstalker V7. Works great.

If you just root your can use the app below. Works on kit kat and does not use your tethered plan.

As mentioned above WiFi tether router works just fine. I'm stock 4.2 rooted and have unlimited tether

Hello guys I have unlimited data on cricket (originally an AT&T phone). Are there any apps that work for tethering? Such as FoxFi or PDANet?
Any information or anyone with experience would be very helpful!

PDANet is what I use to tether my rooted Gear S running Null Rom to my Note 4. I'm on AT&T though.

wait i'm a littler confused. Is your gear s rooted? or your note 4 rooted? because I thought it was not possible to root an ATT Note 4.

There is no root.

This is my question too. I have unlimited data on AT&T and I'm looking for app I can use to tether.
