Anybody successfully get Dex running on the Sentio Superbook? I'm just getting a black screen even though my phone says it is connected for Dex. It worked for Note 9 (https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-9/accessories/note-9-dex-sentio-superbook-t3895238), but I never tried that before sending my Note 9 to the mothership to pay for my Note 10+
I'm trying this using the official Samsung hub (https://www.samsung.com/us/mobile/m...-s-usb-hdmi-and-power-adapter-ee-pw700bweguj/)
I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong or if this trick doesn't work with the Note 10+.
Ive been trying to get it working aswell but no luck as of yet. Ive tried the hub method, just straight connecting it, and also i tried to pass it through my monitor to the superbook but no methods work.
Mine work after I press the reset button on the back of the superbook

I was having the same problem. I found that I can't be on the home screen for Dex to work. So I open another app, rotate the phone to landscape and then it works. No idea why this makes things work but I'm not arguing too much.
I bought one of the early bird and was one of the first to get the Superbook so it's been a while but I never got dex to work, just the Sentio platform which wasn't awful but I like dex better. I sold it and bought the HP Elite x3 to run dex. Works much better and better build. I am thinking about buying the superbook off ebay cheap to play around with again if I can find one for $50 or so.

I have a tab 3 7.0 and need the OTG ability for gaming, I am debating on getting another tablet and getting rid of this one. I am currently looking at either a tab 3 8.0 or nexus 7. The nexus would be a no brainer except for the lack of a sd card slot. I know you can use the cable and hook up a external drive but that would be combersome. So I guess I need to know if there is any possibility of the tab 3 7.0 getting the ability to use OTG or should I look into getting another one.
Also would the Nexus be a better choice or the 8.0 tab. Both are about the same price and comparable they both have their strong points. Larger screen available internal sd card vs better resolution and quicker access to upgrades. I have a GS4 as a phone and like the Samsung.

This isnt the response you were looking for but what does OTG mean. Just got the tab and not really enjoying the preformance with the Iron Man game.
OTG means on the go it is the ability to plug a USB device into the charging port of your phone. Ie a mouse, keyboard, flash drive or in my case a psi or xbox controller.

From what I can understand, no. Don't take me as the final answer though I am no expert.

Im no expert either, but I had the Asus Nexus 7 32gb before I had my Galaxy Tab 3 8.
I love removable media. 32gb filled up fast with music and movies. It wasn't that huge a deal,
but now that I have the Tab 3 I feel better and roomier...
I had OTG with my Nexus and it was great and worked perfectly. I was not aware I could not do the
same with the Tab 3. Ill look into it. The OTG came in handy once in awhile. Not a deal breaker but nice
to have.
Hands down, the 7" screen of the Nexus isn't even close to the 8" of the Tab 3. I feel like I have
the full use of the screen with the Tab, while the Nexus had bigger borders. Its more enjoyable with the
bigger screen. Seems clearer and more vibrant.
Speed felt the same. I ROM'd both, and they were equal with APKs and mods and such, so honestly neither one
was better than the other in real world use. Im sure benchmarks and quadrant scores might say different
but it all seemed the same to me. Battery life seemed the same too, but since I never drained the battery
entirely in a day, I was always able to easily recharge both when needed.
I had the Nexus 7 for a year, and the Tab 3 for a month now. Both were great, but I feel like I got a nice
worthwhile upgrade with the Tab 3 8.
Just my pennies worth. Hope it helps
EDIT: I know my signature and my devices make it look like Im a Samsung fanboy, but it only turned out that way in the
last few months. Ive had them all, and all different brands over the last few years. If someone makes something better
I have no issue with switching...

Thanks that is what I was looking for. By the way the tab 3 8 does have OTG capabilities they even sell the cable on Samsung website for the 8.
Great. Didn't know that. I'll check out and confirm the otg tonight. Thanks

I can confirm that OTG works on the Tab 3 8.
Im rooted using Fast Dreams ROM with the Galatab kernel.
I used Stickmount 2.3.1 from the Playstore also.
And just got a normal OTG cable from a generic website (it was NOT a Samsung cable).
I didn't do anything else.
Good luck

are you trying to screen mirror? I think you'll need to set up wifi-direct and only be able to stream Samsung apps.

I'm pretty sure only samsung devices...ie tv's, bluray players etc will support screen mirroring....at best you can do wi-fi direct.....or you can grab a samsung allshare device, or other samsung device that is a "smart device" (2013 & up)....

I just ordered it and I will have my paws on my Note on Monday. I am very excited but I want to know what everyone else thinks. I have gone back and forth from Android to Apple and back. I wanted to go not only Android but back to Samsung. I am looking at going to the Galaxy Note 4 when that goes on sale next month.
But really. with not having root access (yet) are you still happy with the Note 10.1?
Happy? Yes, very.
I have the P605, so am rooted without knox fuse trip.
It took me a while to choose a tablet, UK Note 10.1" 2014's are only 16GB Wifi only versions AFAIK, and for the money I was spending I wanted better specs, so I had to order a Hong Kong p605 import which allowed me to have 3g/4g and have 32GB storage (64B would have been too much $$).
I was replacing a Note 1 (n7000) so needed something that I could use as a phone too, didn't want to mess with 2 devices, tethering, etc.
The only issue I have so far is a distinct lack of accessories. I wish there was a choice of docks, cases, etc.
So yeah, other than that, very happy, it is fast and smooth and does what I need it to.
Some UK carriers don't allow tablets to be used on their networks, my 3 sim detected and rejected my p605 saying it was not allowed, but that is not really the tablets fault.

First let me say that some people are not happy with anything, and nothing is ever perfect.
I have a stock SM-P600 32 GB and I'm very happy. I also have a Stock GT-8013 that was restored back to stock from root and my wife is happy with it also.
Had my SM-P605 LTE tablet since December and still loving it. Not rooted and with OTA updates I am at KitKat 4.4.2. I use Nova Launcher and it's smooth as butter. No issues whatsoever. Enjoy your new baby
The best tablet ever, even sale my iPad to get this one and I dont regret it. I have upgrade to KK rooted and install custom rom. ?
Am I happy with the tablet? Thats a deffo yes it is truely an awesome tablet.
Am I happy with samsung updates? Thats a different subject lol. Either way overall theres no denying this tablet is amazing but maybe I'm just a tad wierd and slightly annoyed at the way Samsung handles their updates (Still no kitkat in UK 10 months on), I keep blabbering on that this is my last samsung product but who am I kidding - nothing compares in terms of note features. Will have to wait and see haha.
Anyhoo am sure you'll love it

The screen is outstanding, the performance is great, the spen works really well. I don't like that the USB plug is at the bottom of the device. You cannot charge the 10.1 while watching movies in landscape. The 12.2 has the plug on the side.

If you rotate your device 180 degrees the screen rotates as well. then you can plug it in at the top and watch your movies.

There is original dock station for our baby and also I have information from official samsung store that this one
http://www.samsung.com/us/mobile/cell-phones-accessories/EDD-S20JWEGSTA
also will work, still I did not test it yet.
To be in subject. I love my P605 and I hate Samsung that they did not focus more on promotion of it and there is few accessories in the market which you can get to it.
Second thing is the lack of support for many software designed for it. For example:
1. No possibility to unlock your PC(send ctrl+alt+del) when you are connect to it via Samsung Remote PC
2. Few note themes to SNotes - they could add much more
and much more.
Still it is defo worth to get it since it is still the best Tablet with Android in the market(TAB S don't have SPen and Xperia Z2 tablet is only marketing nymber1)
BR.
I have the exynos p600 and am very unhappy with it. I'm used to very fast speeds as I find on my smart phones but Samsung tablets lag way too much. Doesn't matter what specs you load them with. Touchwiz finds a way to hog it down. Tablet is decent..though build is cheap, back plate isn't even leather..its plastic made to look like leather. And the chrome..just awful. But I'm stuck with this as there a very few other android tablets worth swapping for at the moment

I havent had an Android tablet in a while. My last was an ASUS T300 or something. I did have an 8 inch Galaxy Tab 2 last summer. I remember it being bogged down with Touch Wiz and being kinda laggy. Does putting another launcher (example: Nova Launcher) speed things up since you arent using the touch wiz launcher?

Nova helps a bit, but the Kitkat update is probably also enough already.
Sort of; great tablet, great screen, pen is a blessing for school notes and drawings, the processor is a beast and it has enough ram. Now, i dont like almost anything that samsung did with it, it is either useless, buggy, slow or too small a detail to have touchwiz for. I wish i could deal with it installing cm or any other distribution but i have the p600 model so it seems i am ****ed. Sorry if i cant give opinion of roms like hydronium and xkat but i havent tried them because they seem to be only scrambled touchwiz.
All in all, for the price i got it for(around 400$) and with so so writing apps like "write" this is one of the only tablets that let me use it as a notebook so i am mildly happy with it.
TL;DR: Tablet is great, Touchwiz is not that great. Get p605 model.

Very happy with this tablet, but can't stand TouchWiz and any of the S apps.
Replace TouchWiz with either Nova or Google launcher and S apps with anything else from Google Play (example: lecture notes).
About a year after Android L comes out and we are still on kit kat, I might feel a little different.

Hi all,
I'm thinking about purchasing the Tab Pro 12.2, but just wondering what your thoughts are for my use.
I currently have a Nexus 7 (16gb) and an Acer C720 Chromebook. I also have a OnePlus One, so the Nexus 7 doesn't get much use over my phone so I'm looking to upgrade the tablet. Would the Tab Pro 12.2 be a suitable replacement for a Chromebook? Assuming I don't get an external keyboard, how easy is it to type on a tablet this large? Also, with the keyboard does a Chromebook still have any advantages to this? When web browsing, do websites default to mobile view or do they load normally which is what I would like with a screen this big.
I can get a new return for $320 which seems like a great deal. Also, any known issues I should know about. It seems like the Note series has more problems.
I'm not going to go thru and answer all those questions, but I will tell you. I have a chromebook. A note 4. A note 8.0, a galaxy tab 3 7.0 and multiple laptops. I thought for a while the same thing. Did I want a tablet that big? Or would it just lay on my dresser? And my tab 12.2 is now my go to. I love this thing. I'm stock rooted with just a few mods and a little theming. It runs smooth as butter. It's fast, lightweight. Great screen. I say for $320 grab it up. I paid $500 for mine new, but on sale. They retail for $649 for my 32gb
Thanks for answering. Do you use the 12.3 with a keyboard or do you find the on screen keyboard is sufficient enough to do most things. The tablet would basically be used for web surfing so keyboard input would be limited to web searching and forum posts.
Can these two work together. I have read some people say that they have gotten these two to work together and have also read that the pixel and Gear 3 won't pair. Absolutely. I use them right now. Just download the gear app from the app store
Thanks for the response but for some reason it is not connecting to the phone.
I just reconnected my Gear S3 to my new phone. Run the Samsung Gear app and follow the instructions. You will have to reset your watch in the process.

I've got the gear s3 as well and it works great with the Pixel XL. Once gear app is installed it should walk you through the whole process including downloading 2 other apps that make the s3 work. Had to soft reset the watch the first time since it was originally paired with a Note 7.
I too am using the gear s3 with the pixel. Everything works well. My favorite is Samsung pay. Can use it even without the phone being connected

I haven't noticed a bit to the Pixel XL battery life. I use my S3 every day, but only for notifications. Don't have the LTE on or the WiFi and I average 84% battery life left each evening when I charge it. I use it from 7am until about 10pm daily.

Mine worked great for awhile. Now that I am on Android Oreo. My phone cant find my watch after a couple of days. If I reset the watch it will work good for a few days and then it will stop finding my watch. I have had to reset my watch 3 times.
That's weird. I've been connected since the release of Oreo without issue.
I do have to reflash my phone though because i installed BusyBox and SPay then detected root.:crying:
I had to do another hard reset on my watch again last night. Everything is working fine so I will have to wait and see how long it last this time.
New 10/10/17 update means the plugin is no longer compatible with the pixel and won't install ☹
Anyone got the old one as an apk
@noone606
This is the one i am using. If there is an issue, maybe install the previous release and it will update to the newest.
