Using a Note 10+ with Nova Launcher 6.1.11
I am sure I am just overlooking a setting because my buddy has the text on his but for the life of me, I cannot get the text to show under the 5 icons on the bottom here. I've tried turning off the icon label over and over, messing with the size, color and everything but the text never shows up under them. I can drag the icon to the middle and the text is there. Just won't show when I move it back. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Any idea why there is that blue bleed on the right, next to Sent?
It's only hit me today, but I kept thinking there was something wrong with my screen so I installed screenshot to double check.
What's everyone else using for Pop3 mail?
Maybe Im wrong, but isnt that horizontal menu scrollable (right to left and vice versa)? So the blue bleed means there are more option, which are currently hidden.

Absolutely, it is scrollable.
It's the way that it appears to "bleed". If you pull it across, it doesn't look much better.
Considering the screen and how well it can deal with perfect graphics, this app just looks cheap and nasty.
That's the way it tells you that you need to pull it left for more tabs to appear.
I have decompiled the contacts.apk file and im trying to make an attempt at fixing my issue but i dont know where to start.
my issue is that i have changed my screen desnsity to free up some real estate, so far everything looks good except the phone/contacts there is an transparent bar with a search icon that covers the dial button on the last called contact.(see below)
any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'd try disabling Hardware Overlay under developer Options.
doesn't help. and i actually didn't expect it to as it seems to be a layout issue in Contacts.apk
I found this app to change the icon on INOMAIL to the stock android mail icon.
It worked great for that and then I found out it could create icons/shortcuts just about any size.

How to enlarge icons
Thank you for the information. icon changer is a great app but I can see that there is no way to make bigger icons even though I;ve tried to change the pixels of the icon before inserting to Icon changer. You can make smaller but there is a limit on bigger icons.
Could you please explain how you made bigger icons than the default size with this app?
Thank you
Sorry looks like its been changed in the last update. The slider bar use to start in the middle, and use could go bigger or smaller. Now it starts at the end and you can only go smaller. Not sure why they changed this.

appreciate your reply i'll try an older version ... :-0
Hi! I noticed lately that everytime I pressed recents on my A5, there's this layers of gray on the status bar? It doesn't only appear on the recents but on the home screen as well. And it only appears on the home and recent screen... Is this a burn in? Help please.
Here are the links of the screenshot:
You can't see it clearly but try to tilt your screen

Yes, by what you described, that is most likely and amoled burn-in. I also have one...
That's normal. For whatever reason, the software is made that way. You can download a screen test anytime, or open a black picture and see that it's fine. Also, some launchers hide it, but I don't remember which ones.
I want to get rid of the huge space when fully extending the notification panel, so when I pull it all the way down, the brightness bar is around the center of the screen, does anyone know a way to do this, with or without root.

Try using Galaxy Goodlock family of apps,
Quickstar. See if it can hide it for you...
Try notifications settings, try searching for "clock" in settings.
Quickstar hides the clock on my homescreen page, they may have added more options for Android 11/12.
On my N10+'s Android 9/10...
I will try that. Thank you.

That looks horrible. Is that Android 12?
13 will likely be worse.
On 9/10 it uses the space much better...
This was modified using Quickstar for the custom colors.
If you want to quickly access brightness control you can use One Handed Operation plus, Quicktools to do so.
Sadly there was no option for this, it seems to be essentially color type changes you can make
