Note 10/+ game promotions - Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ Questions & Answers

Hey all.
In the Galaxy store you can find a bunch of game promotions for Samsung phones.
If you look in the terms you will found that the note 10 is not included in the term. - see attached.
If I download any of the games , do I eligble for the rewards?

[Q] Anyone with Note 8 and S4?

Question for anyone with the Note 8 and S4. I heard there was some special syncing that can be done between the devices. Is there anything special that one can do between these devices that might be of benefit?
I jumped on the AT&T promotion. I bought my S4 back in May, but I declined the promotion because I want interested in a Galaxy Tab 2 and that was the only tablet they offered. However, when the Note 8.0 launched, they honored the promotion even though I declined when I bought the S4 originally. They gave me a Note 8.0 for the $199 promotion price once it launched. Good customer service.
Anyway, I've been playing with the syncing and the Samsung Link app is very cool. You can transfer pictures, music, etc. between your S4 and Note 8.0 wirelessly. Just put both devices on the same WiFi network and you're set. It's fast and very simple.
I admit I kinda cringed when I realized the Note 8.0 didn't have NFC. I use it a lot to transfer photos from my phone to my tablet for editing and what not. Samsung Link is a very suitable replacement, though. Definitely set it up and use it if you want to transfer stuff between your devices.

NFC would be nice but when I think about it syncing over wifi is a better option. With NFC would have to keep both devices together and they are both almost always on the same wifi so no biggie. I will check out the sync app. Thx.

Hey thanks for asking about that, it got me checking out the Samsung Sync feature. I found out I could also share photos directly to the Sony TV or through the Denon amp.

Yeah I noticed that too. I can beam photos to my Google TV box as well using the Samsung Link app.

Samsung galaxy Note 8.0(N5110) or Samsung galaxy tab 3 8.0?

I am confused between these two tablets please suggest your opinions
Purpose of tablet gaming and watching videos
Samsung galaxy note 8.0
-2gb RAM
-Quad core
-S pen
-Jelly bean 4.1.2(is 4.2.2 update available??)
-399$
(I like this tablet but I am just concerned about the update)
vs
Samsung Tab 3 8.0
-1.5gb RAM
-dual core
-Jelly bean 4.2.2
-299$
which 1 is worth?
You can easily find the note 8.0 on sale for $325 with the $25 play credit in the US. At that price I would easily say the note 8.0 is the better deal.

If you will have use for the spen get the note, if you think its just a fad then go for a cheaper option.
The main benifit of the spen is for note taking and drawing.

325$ can u tell me where
Samsung's naming scheme is confusing. This is what I've been able to come up with so far.
The Note devices are high end devices with better specs and S-pen.
The Tab devices are so-so specs-wise without S-pen (and crappy screens).
The Mega devices are Tab devices specs-wise with huge screen.
Then each line has different screen sizes. Some have phone and 3G/LTE functionality built in, and some don't.
Having said that, I own a Note 2, which's a very fine device, but I can count on one hand the number of times I actually pulled the S-pen out.
I understand their marketing strategy of "throw anything against the wall and see what sticks" but I really wish Samsung would simplify things.
Do you need a WACOM pen for taking notes? If yes, then get the Note 8. If no, then get the Tab.
you can use the tab 3 8 for note taking also. you just won't have pressure sensitivity or the great handwriting recognition software.
I dont have very fat fingers but like the s-pen for more then drawing or writing.
I use it for internet, typing, some games and find it usefull.
The tab 10.1 i have seems to give me less software problems. It's a lot slower however. I think the note 8.0 needs an update. Sometimes the screen freezes or it just needs a reboot to start working again. (although i can judge if its a combination of apps I use or that the problem lies in the tablet itself)
I would buy it again, thats my personal conclusion.

What about palm rejection? The ability to write at a comfortable angle with a stylus tip smaller than a sausage? Even if you're just taking notes, there's a world of difference imo.
heck yeah there's a big difference , but if someone wanted to save a few bucks the gt3-8 isn't really that bad. i almost considered it, but got the gn8 instead. could have gotten a refurb white for 320 but i really wanted the black/brown and the full warranty - though i've voided that lol.

Continue to check staples as well as amazon. 2 weeks ago staples was $250 with $30 in store credit and $25 google play credit. I got mine on amazon 2 weeks ago for $225 new and with the $25 google play credit.

Personally I feel the price difference really doesn't justify getting the Tab 3 8 inch. As previously stated you can get the Note 8 around the same price.

+1 to this thought. I simply don't care about the pressure sensitivity. The palm rejection is the one thing that prompted me to but the Note rather than any other tablet on the market right now.
You can write almost as comfortably as with a Pen and paper makes it a very good choice

Seriously? 225?
For, OP, you said you just wanted games and videos, why the Note 8.0? There are some very good (even cheaper) tablets out there that do a tremendous job of these.Wait a couple weeks for the Next Nexus 7, should be very good in Gaming etc. thanks to the Snapdragon 600.
The Note 8.0 is a very good device but difficult to justify the cost when you don't even need the feature that's included in its name!

[Q] Tab 3 Kids Rom on Nexus 7

Hello,
I am very new to the android community converting from ios, I am looking to purchase 2 tablets for my boys this Christmas. I am not willing to purchase any leapfrog or similar devices because of their limitations. I found that Samsung has developed a tab 3 kids edition with kids mode which seems to be very nice.
My question is, I would rather purchase a Nexus 7 over the Tab 3 because of the system specs. I am curious if it is possible to install the rom from the tab 3 into the nexus 7? Has anyone tried this or is it even possible?
Here is a link to the rom;

I have already looked into Kidoz, Kids place! and zoodle but none of them look or when tested on my friends nexus 7 were sufficient.

Nope Samsung has touchwiz rom, which is specifically made for Samsung. I don't know of any ports over to nexus. However I'm not sure what kids mode would have that you couldn't customize with any other rom/launcher/app combination.

You could set up a second account on the device and restrict things on it. Just set a password on your owner account and use it like an "administrator". You can restrict use of the app store, browser things like that.

Max Go

The current play store version no longer works on the galaxy fold. I tried 2 versions from APK Mirror but I get the same error message on my Fold. Are more and more streaming apps moving away from working on the Fold? The main reason I bought this device was for consuming media. I'm really disappointed that a $400 iPhone can still use Max Go over a $2000 Galaxy Fold.

Nevermind! I just went to the Max Go site and read that the app will no longer be available for any Android phones or iOS devices. I guess I should have went to the site first!

S Pen

If I bought a Note 20 Ultra S pen, would it work with my Note 10+? Mainly thinking about latency.
Probably not. You can use a Note 10 S Pen with the Note 20, but I don't think it will work the other way.

I think the Note 20 S-pen will work with the Note 10, but probably you won't have latency reduction. I assume that the latency reduction is achieved by changes in both the S-pen and the digitizer in the screen.
To know for sure: Just go to a phone store with your Note 10+ and try the Note 20 Ultra S-pen from a demo model....
Just because the Note 10/10+ S Pen works on the Note 20/20 Ultra, does not mean the Note 20/20 Ultra S Pen will work on the Note 10/10+. You can try it for $40.00 though. Let us know if it works.

Because Samsung says so: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00080319/
"Note: The Note8 S Pen can be used with the Note9 or Note10, but it will not include the Remote Control features. Available screens and settings may vary based on wireless provider or software version. Although the Note20 5G and Note20 Ultra 5G's S Pen is identical to the Note10’s pen, it is not compatible with the Note10. Only the handwriting function will work."
The latency reduction is with the N20, using the N20 pen with the N10 even if it works will not reduce latency time.
For the price Sammy should have done on the 10+ too.
Lame.

If it's software based it might come to the Note 10/10+ yet.
But this won't be for a while, if at all, as this is a "feature" of the Note 20 series..,. Why kill your cash cow when the suckers will buy another one....

Sure it's hardware. Samsung could have used better chipsets in the 10 like for bluetooth but they didn't. Pigs.
No Sammy not buying a very expensive flagship phone (that you deliberately choose to skimp on) every year from you.
Get your sh.. together or maybe it will be an Asus next year.

Yeah... package blocked them. Enable galaxy store only when I need it as it sucks resources in the background as well.
Samsung music, blocked; Poweramp.
The lower latency is hardware on the phone. The spens should be intercompatible. Note 10's pen on N20 Ultra should also work the lower latency. But the other wah around won't give you better latency on N10+.
