Hey guys,
Is there a way to change what the camera button, on the side of the phone, opens?

Depends on the ROM. Some have a built in feature to let you change what it does.
MIUI, for example, lets you use a short-press on camera button to toggle anything you want, and a long press open the Camera app.
Hi, after searching in the forum, i don see any tools or apps which can remap/assign hardkeys to launch an app. What i see is only the button remapper, which only remap the button to do normal function like camera, end, etc....Is there any apps or tools that can assign or remap our DHD hardkeys to launch an app, just like the Windows AE button plus. Tx!
Hmm I'm not too sure about this but the CM7 Rom does have options to change the functionalities of the home, menu and search buttons.
Yeah cyanogen has this function. I haven't seen it on sense roms but there may be one out there.
If so it would be cool of some one to share with us.

I am always looking for Info for good apps, apps that make our phones function even better. Anyways I stumbled upon this app just by doing going through my Apps in the market and finding other apps related or "apps people also installed etc.
It is called home2 home shortcut. What is does it installs as another home launcher but is doesn't replace you current launcher. If you set it as default home it will ask you what launcher you want to use etc. One you do that you can set up the following to open and app and most shortcuts by doing soft key combos
Press home and home again - pick the app that you want to launch when you do the combo
Now click other settings below this above setting
Press home then search key - pick app you want to launch
Press home then back button -pick app etc
Press home and menu button - pick app that you want to launch when you do the combo
Here is a link.

Is there anyway to replace the S Voice app with Google voice with the use of the home button? As in could I make the shortcut of double clicking the home button go to Google app instead of S voice?
You 'could,' in that you re-map the code on the button on the 'ondbclick' execution, though it'd take a tiny bit of work.

Click to collapse
There is actually a way to do this with a think Nova launcher? I'ts one of those launchers..I don't even use them. But I've seen it some where.
What he said... I have it and it's AWESOME... Home button twice brings up quick desk home and menu brings up Google now and home and back brings up the camera. How wickedly cool is that!

I have an lg g8 LM-G820TM with the "home and app drawer" home selection. When I download an app it gets put into the app drawer and does not create a shortcut to the home screen unless I do it manually. I looked for the automatic home screen shortcut in the play store but it's not there?
