Hi all...
Can someone please do a test for me?
When I type via the Swiftkey keyboard, most of the sound I hear when I type, only comes out via the bottom speaker, rarely the top one. I have the sound setting in Swiftkey set to max.
I have only so far experienced the "bug" when I type. Everywhere else both top and bottom speaker works together, but still I fear I have a hardware problem.
Can someone please do a test for me over the next couple of hours?
Thank you in advance
/CK
Or please test a ringtone and see if it uses both speakers.
Thank you.

If I test a ringtone it comes out of both speakers. I tested typing with Gboard and it only comes out of the bottom speaker.

Hi Fellas, wonder if you could help me out.
Done a search, but to no avail on this one.
My XDA Orbit loudspeaker has gone distorted on speech lately.Music is fine but speech such as MS Voice command and TomTom sound distorted at high volumes.Seems like the volume is louder than before, like the gain has been turned up or summat.
Anyone know where loudspeaker volume level in the registry is?
Maybe turn that down a couple of clicks may help.Anything so I ain`t gotta change the speaker!
Thanks in advance.
Anyone know where loudspeaker settings are in the registry?
Anyone? ???
Maybe this will help. Not investigated it myself, but maybe worth a read..

That`s very helpful.
Cheers buddy!
How did you get on? I have the same problem, which settings did you use if you got a good result.
Still playing with it at the minute.Definately alters things using the values from the Wizard registry.
I`ll post my final settings when I crack it.
Hi there,
It's happened twice in 2 weeks now, so I have to ask the question. Randomly, the sound on my TP2 suddenly comes through the earpiece as opposed to the speaker. Can't explain why and the only way to resolve is a soft reset.
Has anyone else had this and if so, can it be fixed please?
Cheers,
Pete
In the bluetooth settings there is an option to play the system sounds through your bluetooth device. Be sure to clear that option.

Happened to me once or twice as well. I was able however to revive the connection with disable & enable of the bucktooth.
Thanks for the tips guys. My bluetooth isn't actually on, never has been, so none of what you've suggested applies to me. It's a totally random thing (from what I can see) and does not appear to be related to Bluetooth or BT-related settings.
Cheers,
Pete

That happend to me when I try to use Nimbuzz for chat... it is odd, but I tested it several times!!... as soon as I open Nimbuzz the sound is redirected to the earpiece... So I uninstalled it, since then never happend again.
Later,
Tyrone
aha! I have Nimbuzz. thanks so much for the tip. i will remove it and see if that does it. cheers,

Has anybody found a reliable and bug-free way to increase volume on the Tilt2 for headset and speakerphone? There are a lot of threads out there discussing audiopara files, but it is somewhat confusing to figure out which ones to use.
Dear Germanguy,
I succesfully boosted my Phone's Earpiece by modifying the audio para,
Beware the SPEAKER is boosted ASWEL! And I'm not responsible for any possible loss of warenty, damage, NOTHING!
Tell me if you like it
you can try the "audio para" cab i dont know the link but you can search for it in "tricks & cabs" . it worked for my TP2...Tj
how do you install this? it's not a cab?

Unfortunately this did not change anything on my Tilt2. Thanks anyway. Anybody else have had success with increasing volume on the ATT Tilt 2?
Does the audiopara3 file also increase mic sensitivity??
This worked for me with no ill effects so far.

Mine is an ATT tilt 2, and this fix was a beautiful thing. fixes the ear piece and external speaker.

Recently I have been getting very bad sound when calling someone.
I can hear the callee perfectly but they can barely hear me, I sound like a 'fish in the water' or with a very big 'echo'.
This has been the case after updating to Lollipop.
Hi,
i have the same issue...
i cant use the handsfree or microphone as listeners report they can hardly hear me....all since the lollipop update...

I Am Assuming you are using Stock Lollipop FW from Sony
Head to Settings>Call
Enable Microphone Noise Suppression, Set the Equalizer to Bright and enable the Speaker Voice Enhancement
Also make sure you are on Max Volume when In-calls

Nope, I only tried the solution suggested above, I have yet to encounter the problem again.
I just tried same thing with equalizer. I will see if this will work. @Devenda, any news since 2 days ago?

Nope, still stable, I tested it but the audio was clear.
Problem is that this issue comes and go's randomly, so all I can do at this moment is wait...
None of the suggestions described worked for me. This bugged me so much I was forced to run to RR rom.. Problem solved but I miss Sony's great battery life ??
I have the same problem.
Only the equaliser was different (normal), I've changed it to bright and will see.
Don't you think it is a problem with radio reception ? I'm not sure but I think I have not the same number of bars than before. I haven't got an other 4G phone to compare.
Equaliser doesn't work for me.
I have changed prefered network, it was 4g prefered. I've changed to 3g. It seems to be working.
Can somebody try ?
I solved my problem during the calls when i unchecked the improvement of voice
If you have tried all the other options and still not working but you have v4a sound mod installed, this might help - http://forum.xda-developers.com/sony-xperia-z1-compact/help/viper4android-deactivates-mic-t3124764
I had same problem after update to lollipop and try everything mentioned before and nothing helped. Then I low down speaker volume ( volume key down) while call is active and that worked for me. I suppose that lollipop have some problem with duplexer. Level of sound in speaker is litle low but at least caller can understand me normally.

Greetings, I hope you are fine.
I'll just let you know my experience with that, I had a similar one to yours. Instead my voice was stuttering and ghostly, like something came out of Paranormal activities. xD
The only solution I found to this was that it was a problem with the hardware itself, IE. the mic of your phone. Maybe you wanna give your phone to the warranty company and see what they say about it. In my case, they fixed it and it's working fine now.
I hope I helped
Yours.
Hi All,
Does anyone else find that when they do an 'OK Google', that the beeps before and after the voice command are all crackly and distorted, like they're playing at the wrong speed? It's only a minor irritant and OK Google itself works fine. Just wondered if it happens for anyone else.
Thanks.
Yes I hear that too!
Doesn't seem to be a problem with the speaker itself as it's fine for other audio..
It's weird, but as you say, only a minor irritant :]

Thanks for the reply - glad to hear it's not just me
Ben.
I don't really use voice search or voice commands on my Swift but can test and see if it does the same on my Swift. Will post back here.
