Hi everyone,
I just recently got a SM-R805N (Korea LTE ver) and want to change its region.
However the CSC variants in the stock only contains Korea telecom (as mentioned in the CSC thread by ecoco1)
I am trying to use the old fashion way: flash in the combination firmware, switch the CSC and then flash back to stock, in which, the CSC I am looking for is in SM-R805F version
However, I cannot find any free source for SM-R805F firmware online... all those available , also in this XDA forum, is only for bluetooth version.
Would anyone in XDA able to source the R805F firmware? (best to have both combination & stock?)
Thanks a million

Here is the FT40_R805FXXU1ARJ1 Combination firmware

They are the latest ones i could pull, hope it helps
Caution.
Since Gear S3 it is NO good idea to flash wrong Firmware nor wrong parts... to LTE variants...
You could end like this:

https://forum.xda-developers.com/smartwatch/gear-s3/please-help-bricked-gear-s3-sm-r765s-t3665558
I have no Galaxy Watch... but this means not I have no idea how dangerous it is... if you doing """experiments"""...
Example:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=78545468&postcount=74
Only as info.
Additional info...
Not tested what happens with CSC only... BUT be sure it is not less dangerous... because partition PIT is inside CSC and netOdin AUTOMATIC write this file to device...
Suggestion...
Study offline...
You can extract files with 7zip and compare...
rootfs.img needs some other Tools or Linux... or...
Best Regards

Thanks adfree, but its too late... I have already bricked my brand new galaxy watch...
Now the watch wont go into any mode below. All it does is have a flash of horizontally line screen, consistently.
continue
factory command
recovery
download (wireless)
Tried the method "press 2 seconds, release 1 second" does not work, think it corrupted the partition.
Only mode still work is "download" which shows the screen correctly. What make it worse is I reset the watch before doing this and forget to turn off activation lock (but I have my own user name and password, think that does not make it worse then?)
Appreciate if any idea on how to tackle this... am already thinking about buying the usb connector for odin flash...(hopefully something will make it work again...)
Suggestion, if you want try it self at home....
Look into this post:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=78545468&postcount=74
Look into Video...
You can also click around this Thread... to see diffferent "solutions"...
Security prevent netOdin use... IMHO no way without USB to flash again.
If you have POGO Connector... Odin...
Then try FIRST to flash SM-R805N...
I see at this time it is not leaked...
So you need luck to flash SM-R805N Firmware...
Hopefully Warranty Void will still:
0 0x0000
Seems 3 SM-R805N Stock Firmware leaked:
Code:
R805NKOU1ARK8
R805NKOU1ARJ6
R805NKOU1ARHJ
You can PM me... if you need Help with POGO...
Best Regards
Sent you a pm thanks very much, i have not yet able to watch the video as im at work, but i think i need the items below:
R805N stock firmware
POGO Cable for usb connection
anything else would i need?

Sorry to hear it bricked, here is at least R805N normal firmware, there isn't any combo firmware that I can find atm
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=1395089523397891319
Thank you @deadman96385 for the firmware
Hi adfree, here is the photo of the "Download" screen
Now i need to get my hand on the cable to try it out...
Thanx for Photo. :good:
Good:
A
SM-R805N to see...
So sboot.bin is not overwritten...
B
Warranty void still 0 0x0000
So Knox not dripped... BUT you have to wait for final result after Repair Flash...
Not so good = IMHO bad...
Reactivation Lock is ON...
This means MORE f&%ing Security...
As "we" have only Stock Firmware...
If no luck then also Warranty Void Value will change... maybe.
P.S...
partition.pit aka PIT is 1:1 same between SM-R805F and SM-R805N... except the RSA 2048 Signature crap at the end of file.
Best Regards

thanks... I should be able to get the POGO wire mid next week, will update you the result....!
My Galaxy is back alive! Thanks everyone in this thread. Tested the following:
Install R805N firmware: Download mode: Works
Install R805F firmware:
Download mode: PIT fail instantly, without install
Download (Wireless): Able to complete the install -> Fail warning in red -> Bricked
Tried for combination firmware, or CSC only, same result
Guess I will never have chance to change my CSC then...? (Unless there is a combination R805N available which has all CSC countries inside?)
hi did you manage to change the region? I have the same watch.

no i am not able to change, as mentioned above, the original firmware does not have other CSC included, flashing any other firmware will brick the watch
i think it will only be possible if R805N has a combination firmware release
Looking for firmare

Y u want to try i can help you
do you know how to use net odin and r u ready to take risk.
Thanks for your time man yeah I've been doing this since HTC HD2 era I wasn't afraid of that.
I thought it was a specific f/w I had to d/l for flashing the specific CSC of my country in order to change it..Just like with ROMs. Then I watched the whole procedure and realised it had to do with messing with inf file after flashing a universal f/w to change the CSC and then push the commands through terminal before flashing back the OG f/w.
The proceduce was successful and now I can use mobile services of my country, which wasn't feasible before
Again thanks for your time

I don't think the US firmware T-mobile CSC will work in this case, I have not seen anything suggesting it's use is possible for this scenario..
Also if you search SamMobile for the firmware for your device and don't see T-Mobile firmware you will probably need to use custom firmware (with the features added) and root the device (required for custom firmware).
big thanks dude
is it possible to push tmobile CSC file into international version phone ?

You could probably flash it if the files were released for the model of phone you are using (of which you have not said). At that rate your best off just flashing the carrier firmware itself to ensure full compatibility.
Looking at SamMobile I can find T-Mobile carrier firmware for the N975F, N9750, N975W and N9760
Obviously without a device to flash them on, these are provided for purposes of extraction and tinkering only. If anyone wants a USERDATA for a specific carrier, let me know and I can get it.
Zips are compressed extra small for space and bandwidth savings. The default Windows extractor can't handle it, so you'll need a 3rd party tool like 7zip, WinRAR, etc
Happy poking around!

S21 FE firmware can now be pulled via Frija and the other similar firmware download tools. Xfinity Mobile (CCT) and Spectrum Mobile (CHA) can be pulled via Auto, and T-Mobile (TMB) can be pulled via Manual entry. U1 firmware (XAA) can be pulled via Manual entry
- Android 12 has been released for U firmware (build UK5)
- T-Mobile firmware can now be pulled via Auto, in Frija
- ATT USERDATA has been uploaded

You don't have G990U or G990U1 so you're in the wrong thread

You can use a different CSC, no problem. If you can't find the correct CSC then you can use a multi-CSC firmware like OXM
