Can you Help me?? - Moto Z2 Force Questions & Answers

Good afternoon
I need help to be able to install the firmware to my moto z2 force Mexico, it is currently from the amxmx channel and I found the firmware but I don't know how to install it, what happens is that I started to make forced closures on netflix and other apps since the bootloader is unlocked, it has twrp and root uninstall it because I thought it would be the solution I follow in the rom stock I would just like to flash it and delete the data or records from before. Thanks for your attention.

[Q] How do I properly install the google play store to the Fire PHONE

I have tried to follow the instructions for the Kindle Fire but that is not working and I have not found a thread that specifically gives directions on how to install and make the google play store work on this device.
I have downgraded my software and rooted my phone so that step is done.
I have attempted to follow the directions in downloading and using ES File.
I have downloaded many versions of the play store and play services but all seem to crash or give errors at some point. Please help!!!
I need google play!!
Did you install xposed framework and hdxposed? (You have to open xposed, install itself and activate hdxposed)
Installed HDXPOSED
Ok i installed xposed and activated hd xposed now what?
Follow this guide, it works. (it is in this forum)
[GUIDE] Make FireOS looks and feel like normal android
Normally all things should work now when you follow my guide.

If you have questions you can ask me directly
So if I have version 3.6.5 (AT&T) will this work?
You Need Root first

You gotta downgrade to 3.5.0 first then factory reset, then download towel root and root the phone, install SU, disable OTA, then Xposed...
Disable OTA is not necessary when installing xposed with hdxposed

Would you happen to know where to get specific directions for the above? I've done the UNLOCKED fire phones (that was easy to install Google Apps), but I bought 1 used Fire Phone that was locked to AT&T and has 3.6.5 and the procedure I'm used to just doesn't work (constant gapps crashing).
Also, I did SIM unlock this phone...can i update it to 3.6.8 or is it stuck on 3.6.5 regardless?
Thanks!

After I downgraded I had apps crashing to, to fix that you will have to do a factory reset, since the reset I have had no crashes. Every thing I have read says do not upgrade if you want root access, but you can downgrade and root anything up to 3.6.8, my even include 3.6.8 but to a search to make sure, root is on 3.5.0 and after root you can not upgrade and keep root..

I didn't downgrade. It was my understanding the AT&T locked phones are at 3.6.5 and unlocked are at 3.6.8 and the two are not compatible (you can't upgrade a locked phone to 3.6.8).
I'm not interested in rooting, but just want the simple GAPPS install experience I had with my unlocked 3.6.8 phone.
By factory reset, you mean wipe it?

Super help pleeeeeease!!!

Hello my dear friends,
Yesterday i bought a new lg g3s. Mobile looks super cool and i've already loved it. The problem is that in store didn't tell me that the device was from "TIM" carrier and now i'm having about 30 little applications In menu and the UI looks terrible. Is it possible someone show me the threads i have to follow to install a clean version of kitkat. Like theone that mobiles comes Usually.
Thanks
Hi,
When you say little applications do you mean bloatware or distorted UI?
The process to change the Rom is easy. Just follow the tutorial for rooting and then install twrp.
If root doesn't the first time check the drivers. It gave me a hard time when i rooted
Sent from my phone
I mean that the carrier is TIM (like orange, vodafone, etc) and the UI is formed for TIM users. It has preinstall apps for them. I just want to reinstall a nice, clean kitkat without all those apps.
So the method is as always the same. Root and then install Kitkat twrp. After this can i unroot it again?
Any pro user to confirm my question. I need a finally "okidoki" to start the procedure. Please please it is critical for me to have a boost to do it!
Thanks
yes, you can unroot later
Guys last call!!! promise!
After searching for hours in xda forum and watch some youtube videos i finally found what i want to do.
My problem was the bloatware that carrier had pre-installed in the device. First i thought that the solution in this problem was to found a clean version of Kitkat 4.4.2 and flash it. Like all LG G3s (beat) devices coming without any carrier. I still want to reach that goal but i really dont know if flashing is the right way. I found an after-root software that can backup/hide or remove those apps but i fill like this is not the right way to do this.
I rooted my device from the guide in this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/general/lg-g3s-beat-d722-thread-t3110048
Now questions coming like rain!!!
1) "Patching Bootloader" is it optional? it looks like it is necessary to move to next step.
2) "Install TWRP Kitkat: Download TWRP for KK" includes the kitkat version that i am looking for (and i described previously) or it 's just a tool for flashing?
3)And finally if i manage to flash device and make it looks like a Non-Carrier device, unrooting will bring it back to "carrier mode"?
I rooted in the past windows mobile phone and i remember some things (like bootloader adjustement is necessary) but windows from androids are a bit different.

As you said you rooted the phone, you can simply install Titanium backup and feeze (better option as can be unfreezed later) / uninstall the apps you don't want. Flashing the recovery will help you flash other custom roms. So installing titanium backup will solve your problem if bloatware is only concern.
Hit thanks if I helped.

FULLY unroot

Hi,
Does anyone know if this phone can be fully UN-rooted so apps like Barclays Bank app and Pingit can work on it?
Supersu unroot doesn't work nor do Hide Root stuff.
Mine was pre-loaded with Eragon ROM by the Ebayer who I got it from which in general was a good thing.
In the meantime, I've put it back to stock.
Can anyone install Pingit app on this phone? (you don't need a Barclays account or anything... just try and install it and it detects root).
Thanks.
Hmm no replies to this one.
OK, can someone confirm to me whether the P8000 is FULLY unrooted when it's new? The hardware is great so I'm thinking of getting the Vowney but not if Elephone mobiles are rooted from the start.
I know it's all about rooting and putting custom ROMs but it's annoying when some apps you NEED (like banking) won't run on them.
Can someone who hasn't done anything to their P8000 check for me please? Just download the Barclays Pingit app and try to install it. If it installs, it's fully unrooted.
Thanks.
You can install the Stock Firmware with so Flashtool soul be unrooted then

Certainly with my P8000 and many others from comments in this forum, the phone came with some of the necessary root files/binaries installed. To root all that was necessary for me was to install SuperSU from the Play store.

Yeah, my hope is to fully UN-root the phone (so it's NOT rooted). There are certain apps like Barclays Banking and Pingit apps that won't install if it even sniffs that it's been rooted.
So, the guy I got the phone from put Eragon OS on it for me. So it must have got rooted then.
I've flashed it myself following the instructions on the official Elephone site using the Flashtool and put the latest Stock Rom on (complete with malware!) but it is still classified as ROOTED.
Root Checker says: Root access is not properly installed on this device.
My other phone (LG G Flex 2) is DEFINITELY not rooted and it comes up with the same 'not properly installed' as well but is ok with Barclays apps.
If I flashed the stock back on, should I theoretically be fully unrooted (obviously not...). What do I need to do to FULLY unroot it please?

Nope, I've literally just flashed it with the latest stock ROM (20151105). No virus in this one!
Barclays apps still think it's rooted.
Sorry for asking noob questions but Root doesn't survive Flashing does it?
Try checking with root checker app from playstore
Yeah I said in the previous post:
Root Checker says the same on my definitely UNROOTED LG G FLex 2 and on my Stock Rom P8000 which I've just flashed.
Root access is not properly installed on this device.
Barclays Bank app works fine on my Flex but root is detected on the P8000 saying it's rooted.
So is it possible to TOTALLY UN-ROOT the phone? UN-ROOT. Not Root. UN-ROOT.
Download es file manager ,go to system check sbin, xbin and bin folders for su files and delete them if you find any

Interesting...
So, for example, in the xbin folder I have:
sugote
sugote-mksh
supolicy
daemonsu
BIN folder has:
superumount
There's no sbin folder.
You mean I should delete ANYTHING that has the letters SU in those folders?
When the P8000 is flashed with the stock rom using the FlashTool, what does it do? Does it blat EVERYTHING on the phone or does it leave something somewhere to indicate it's been rooted before?
If it does wipe EVERYTHING and it sets the phone back to how it would be when it's shipped from Elephone, it does indicate that there is some sort of ROOT (files or whatever) to make some apps complain.
Surely there is SOMEONE here who can tell me whether their P8000 is FULLY UNROOTED or not (by trying to install the Pingit app).
I'm almost a fan of buying these generic, no brand China phones cos they're ridiculously cheap and fast but if they're pre-rooted (in some form), they're not much use since you can't run certain apps on them (especially if no-one knows how to UNROOT them). The Elephone Vowney looks so desirable!
Go to system>xbin and see if su file is on your phone and try deleting just the file with the name su and no other files
Nope, no file called SU in there.
So, my question now is:
Eragon ROM WAS put on this phone.
I've now flashed it with stock ROM.
Should it now be UN-rooted? Or at least, as much as it was when it leaves the factory? (obviously it's not EXACTLY the same because the Stock ROM I flashed is much newer).
OR, are Elephone ALWAYS rooted (either half or fully... enough to trip up certain apps)?
I know that if you get phones like OnePlus One, which had a 'custom' ROM (CM), it was still fully un-rooted (ie you can use banking apps on it).
try simply unroot app
It always works for me
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.pinpong.simplyunroot
Hehe I'm interested to see what happens here.
Root Checker says it's unrooted (or it says it's not properly rooted - which isn't necessarily the same.. although that's what it says on my Flex 2 which is DEFINITELY not rooted).
Barclays bank app says it's rooted.
I need to root the device to use the Simply Unroot app.
What are the chances this is going to work..... I know it's only £0.68 but.....
I'll give it a go when I get home!
Thanks.
Nope, Simply Unroot didn't work although I didn't have much hope.
What's the explanation for this kind of thing... where it's flashed with stock rom and apps can tell it's rooted (even Root Checker says it's unrooted).
Try downloading titanium backup from play store and opening it

By the way, the guy who sells Simply Unroot is VERY VERY VERY helpful.
Really nice guy.
He spent a lot of time trying to sort this out for me. In the end, we were unable to get Barclays app to run.
Root Checker and Simply Unroot both thought the phone was unrooted but Barclays apps thinks it is rooted.
Anyway, the point is, even after all his help, he gave me a refund.
5 stars for the developer for his support!
Sounds like a problem with the Barclay's app

Rooted - how to take/block OTAs?

Recently picked up a Z Play and rooted it (unlocked bootloader, flashed chinese TWRP, flashed Phhh Superuser (and app/Magisk) and I've got everything set up just the way I want it. How do I prevent an OTA from coming through and ruining things or is that something I need to go checking for manually?
Also, when the N update is available, what would be the most advisable way of updating? I have only owned Nexus phones prior to this, so I'm not sure if I should expect Moto to post update factory images for me to flash like google always did the day they released updates, or if there will be some faster/better way?
You can use some sort of root app which has a freezing option, like Titanium Backup.
You have to freeze the "Motorola Updateservices" which is in shown in the attached pictures. "Auftauen" means unfreeze, because i already deactivated the updates service.
For the Nougat question, i would wait until somebody can proof that root is still working flawless before updating.

Use a good filer like Solid classic, go privapp, find 3c OTA (try this 1st) or 3c checkin, change .apk to .apk.bak.
Reboot.
You do not have to fuss with permissions if you just rename.

Thanks! I don't know why I didn't think of just checking for an updater service app to freeze.
Thanks again

Rooted M9 Android Nougat - TWRP-SuperSU Want to Install Magisk for PoGo

Hi there!
First of all info about my device
Bootloader UNLOCKED via HTC Dev - OK
TWRP v3.2.3-0
SuperSU Free v.2.82-SR5
Android 7.0 - Sec. Patch Level April 1, 2017
MagiskManager-v5.8.3
I just want to 'hide' my root in order to play PoGo, Update some apks that won't, use my banking and payment apps, etc.
I followed an article to install MagisK on rooted devices, and everything went smooth till I was asked to 'download' / 'install from web' from the MagiskMgr. Gave me an error and never installed. Same result downloading the .zip and trying to flash it from TWRP. No f&%$#g way...
If ANY of you know a way of installing Magisk / making it install OK on such a device, I'd be more than grateful.
Thanks in advance,
J.
