YouTube 1080 & 1440 long buffer - LG G7 ThinQ Questions & Answers

Hello, I've been using lg g7 since autumn and I've had this YouTube buffering problem. Everything is normal until I switch to 1080p or 1440p and it's insanely annoying.
This only happens on 4g. Internet speed is 100mb/s.
Anyone else has this problem?

[Q] Any lag or severe stutter while streaming videos?

On my HTC Titan streaming videos is a mess. YouTube or any other HTML5 videos lag and stutter like nuts when playing. It's actually frustrating and embarassing to try and show a video to someone. And it's not a buffering issue I assure you.
I'm wondering how it compares on the Lumia 900.. How do you guys find video playback? More specifically YouTube or streaming playback?
I'm experiencing the same thing. Never really noticed it until you mentioned it. I just went to the YouTube app and played a whole bunch of videos. I'm connected to WiFi, but still got a bunch of lag and stutter. Not sure if it's data, or video processing issue.
No stuttering here on Lumia 900
none here, streams perfect in high quality too
Ok, it's my wireless in the house. When I go to the ATT network, it's much smoother. I must have something downloading somewhere.

[Q] Video judder

Is it just my handset are are other people have horrible video playback it does not matter if it is from on the home video recorded through the phone camera or on sites such as hulu, you tube or even google movies all video playback is juddery and laggy does anybody have any answers or similar experiences with there handset. It is a T-mobile handset with the Snapdragon 600
Juddery ? I'm assuming you mean jittery or stuttering.

i had some lag with 720P and had to reboot the phone it worked good fore a few mins then did it again. i havent tried 1080p but i assume it would do the same since its even more higher def.
ZERO stuttering or pausing on the current CyanogenMod 10.1 build. Just tested it with YouTube.
Can not comment on stock software as I never tried it.

cpu question

I have still been having issues with some of the playback thru my windows media center PVR and the 1080 mpeg 2. I still am getting the scrambled picture and then freezing. I have noticed that this does not occur if I have hardware accelleration turned off. I get a pretty darn good pic with just the software decoding, so I think I will leave it that way unless I want to watch a 1080P movie or something.
while trying to figure this problem out with playing the mpeg2 1080 live tv video I was researching with the "o" button. The one live tv channel that I have the most problems with is playing at 60fps while the other channels are playing at 25 to 30 fps. I think this might be the problem.
I also noticed that only two of the cpu are in use during video playback, cpu0 and cpu1. The other two are at 0%. This is the case with hardware accelleration off or on. Is this normal? Am I having hardware issues with my device. If anyone has some answers, I am much appreciated!

[Q] Slow Motion Video on the G4

I have a question regarding the Slow motion video on G4.
After i record a slow motion video how do i share it with people or upload it on Youtube in Slow motion form?
Because once i transfer it to the computer it's in the normal speed. Do i still have to use a software to slow it down?
I was wondering the same thing. The only thing I can't work out on this phone is how the slow mo works.
The option can't just load up a player that plays it slow... Can it?
Does it record at a higher frame rate that the other options?

Stutterring in the youtube app on rn5 pro

I have been watching a lot of video on the youtube app on my rn5pro (on 4g if that affects anything), and I have observed some stuttering in the videos, it happens once or twice in a 10 min video. Is anyone else experiencing this? Is it a youtube issue or rn5pro issue.

Nope, I tested with hour long video. Not happening.
Yeah I'm facing the same issue on YT and MX Player the audio runs fine but the video seems to drop freeze for a split second and then starts
It's not something big but it kinda spoils the user experience
Edit: might just go in for a replacement unit if this persists

So did you get your device replaced or it's just a software bug that'd be fixed soon?
