Hi all,
I have a Asus Chromebox 3 7265ngw that i bought off someone and wanting to enable developer mode so i can install a different OS other than just using deafult Chrome OS. However i have followed some advice off websites and it attempts to enable Developer mode then fails and reverts back. Does anyone know how to do this or could point me to where to look as i have used google for hours and keep hitting a brick wall.
Thanks.
If it was enterprise managed before it might have had a setting blocking developer mode, try doing a factory reset from USB to update it to the latest ChromeOS and then power wash it once or twice.

I successfully rooted my friends Fire Phone by downgrading to 3.5 OS.
After the root was done, everything was performing well. EXCEPT TWRP. TWRP would not install no matter what I did, not sure what went wrong there...
Anyways, my friend decided to factory reset which led to a bootloop I have never encountered before. I can get to the screen where it asks to register device, then it asks whether or not to enable location services, then it asks to register device, going back & forth......
Im fairly sure this is because of a reset while rooted without TWRP.
I have tried toolkits to unbrick, followed steps through adb, seems like nothing works.
Even more annoying is that there is no way for me to turn on the USB debugging on the phone (since factory settings were reset), so command prompt does little good. I can see the device showing up in my computer though. Just no way for phone to allow the access.
I have rooted a few phones, but never one with this much trouble. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Does anyone have a system dump? Or know where to download one for Fire Phone?
Dont think I can fix the phone without it. & then I still have to figure out how to get usb debugging "on" while not being able to get in settings, so that ADB command can connect with phone
I broke my 3.5 install too, but got it working again by sideloading 3.6.2 and then going to 3.5 again. Each time with full reset. Have you tried that?
It wont show up in sideload b/c i dont have usb debugging on. Thus, my problem. Ive tried that many times. I have correct drivers. I was using ADB prior to my factory reset. Now, its screwed haha. Amazon will be ecstatic
I dont think that twrp or any custom recoveries are available on the Amazon Fire Phone. Installing the twrp was likely the issue. Not the root. I can factory reset my rooted Fire Phone with no issues.

Did you ever solve your problem?
I have a nexus 7 tablet. It stopped working and freezes at the start up screen (coloured balls circling). I have tried restart and factory reset with no luck. So decided to flash the original settings using the skipsoft Nexus 7 toolkit. I managed to use this to install the drivers on my windows 7 laptop. However I am unable to enter developer options to enable USB Debugging because the screen is frozen.
Please can you tell me how I can do this on a tablet that is frozen. I am not an expert with android and although I have searched widely have come up with no solution.
Many thanks

A few people have read this but noone has responded - I am wondering if this is because it is a silly question and people are too polite to say or there is no known solution. Comments appreciated; thanks

Did you factory reset in recovery(power + volume up)?
If you did that already you should fastboot flash the factory image manually. There should be a guide in General section that shows you how. Fast boot is way better to learn than using a tool.

Thanks very much - I have now tried to fastboot flash the image manually but I am getting an error and it seems that there is a fault in the factory image for razor-ktu84p - either that or the problem is I cannot enable usb debugging because the device is frozen. I dont find the instructions easy to follow but I am a newcomer to all this. I guess I should try another thread but thanks for your help.
Hello, Devs
Before some weeks i found a phone (Sony Xperia Z3). I try to unlock it but unsuccessfully. I saw some guides here but nothing... Protection on Android 6 is very strong. Trying all ADB methods but i see every time "device unauthorized" because I can't give access to PC from the phone (I don't know the password to do it). I can't go in recovery mode beacause in android 6 I need to unlock the screen first. The phone is not in Debugging mode.
I have both Windows / Linux so, everyone know some methods to unlock phones with Android 6?
Thanks.
wait for it to drain battery, it will shut itself down and you can enter recovery mode when boot up?

Nope. Same.
So, as the title says, my Asus K00Z, WW5.5.4 is stuck at the boot animation. I found some solutions on the internet, but they all require having usb debugging activated, or are made for other types of devices.
What can I do to get my tablet back?
no one?
Come on...
ok. thanks for the help. I love you all.

Google lock is FRP which cannot be removed by a firmware flash.
USB can be changed in developer options if you can get past setup which i doubt you will.
