Hi Guys! I have a problem, and i really don't know how can i fix it.
My phone boots normally, but when boot finish this error appear in the screen:

To continue using your phone, you must restore factory settings. After the restoration, you can restore data backed up in your Google Account to your phone»
There is a "Reset Phone" button but if i push it nothing happen.
I have tried to clear data/cache in recovery but nothing changed, I have tried to install a new ROM (i tried a lot of ROMS) but when it arrive to 50% more or less installation fails.

Also FASTBOOT can't work. (For exemple: if i try to flash recovery it fails remote: failed to flash recovery / erase userdata / cache)
I really don't know where can i also looking
Help me please!
Anyone?
I'm having the same problem....
Restoring an old backup woth TWRP results in the same error.....
hi guys this happened to me too,
luckily I had twrp 2.8.6.0 flashed for recovery.
think you should still be able to get into fastboot if you do a battery pull
then poweron with the powerbutton and volume up till you see the oppo man icon.
then you should be able to flash your recovery with the latest twrp.
if you seen the penquin then this may not work for you. As i have not done a hard recovery before so i dont know if it would work.
I saw the oppo man so i was able to fix it by:
booting into twrp recovery,
i selected wipe --> advanced and there was an additional option to do a wipe for encrypted volumes and i selected all partitions to be wiped
then i installed i had downloaded on my SD card, it was ColorOS 2.0.8i i believed and it fixed it.
sorry if i am a bit grey about the details i did it a while ago so.
Actually found this in the cm12.1 nighlies thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=58304054&postcount=14
issue is possibly due to unified partitions

ultimate note 5 rom

ive had help in rom section but unable to get the rom installed trying to install the ultimate note 5 rom ok i follow op instructions tried muti twrp and the lastest philz ever time i flash the rom i get a error 7 code tried muti formatted sd cards tried putting on phone storage then flashing still same error.. ive read on the error 7 a little bit about it look in the updater script dont see the line it says to erase, ive flash other rom no problem but this 1 keeps failing with that error the picture says twrp 2.8.6 did it just to try out but im on twrp 3.0 now when i got the phone it was already on 5.1.1 ok1
I will be as specific and give as much detail as i can here...
You need to start over with a clean slate. Use standard class 10 micro-sd card and don't mess with multi format whatever. Use TWRP 2.8.7 or 3.0.0. Start by rebooting into recovery and wiping everything clean several times. backup any files that you need to keep. But you must wipe internal sd, system, cache, data and dalvic-cache. wipe thenm in advanced wipe options of twrp. Next reboot to download mode. Launch odin 3.10.6 or newer on your pc. connect your phone to your pc via the usb cable. In the options tab of odin make sure auto-reboot and reset time is CHECKED!!! Open the official stock OK1 rom tar using the AP button in odin. Once the md5 check completes just press start to flash the stock rom. when it finishe LET THE PHONE REBOOT!!! Once the phone boots, setup as usual then go into Settings and open "Activate this device". Let it do it's thing and it will automatically reboot. Once the phone reboots, go to settings/System update and do the prl AND profile updates. Reboot your phone again. Then make sure your data and calls work as they should.
Once you are on stock and have done all of these steps above you are ready to odin TWRP. Download the tar version of TWRP to use in odin. It is the best way to flash recoveries. Launch odin on your pc and use the AP button to add the TWRP tar. In the options tab you can uncheck auto reboot if you want. (I've never had to do that but you can). Once it flashes you can let the phone reboot or you can just pull the battery then force reboot into recovery by holding the volume-up, home and power buttons until you feel the phone vibrate. Release all buttons and wait for TWRP to boot. Once in TWRP, do all of the wipes same as before multiple times. Then for good measure go to TWRP homescreen and press "Reboot" then "Recovery" and this will reboot recovery and ensure that the rom zip will flash with no trouble. Reboot recovery then flash the UN5 rom and remember to wait for data to conect before proceeding with setup wizard. Success. If this doesn't work then give up and leave your phone stock until you figure out what's causing your problems. Good luck.

Takes too much time in every reboots

I got one problem on every rom
Whenever i reboot my phone it takes too much time in booting up
I think every time i reboot cache wiped automatically
Any solution for this sorry for my bad english
best thing to do is just start again - the following steps will erase all user data on internal storage - backup photos documents or anything else you need first
put your phone into fastboot and connect to pc via usb
open a terminal/cmd window where you have your fastboot files
type
Code:
fastboot erase userdata
now go into twrp recovery
goto wipe
advanced wipe
format the following paritions
system
data
cache
art/delvik cache
goto home screen of twrp
mounts
mount the partitions you just wiped
goto home screen of twrp
install
select rom zip
dont restart
goto home screen of twrp
select nano gapps downloaded from http://opengapps.org/
you need arm 7.1 nano
optional
if using lineageos or rom based on it
goto home screen of twrp
install
select suaddon zip (see lineageos instructions for link or get from lineageos website)
Final step
after flashing of the last zip
wipe delvik/art cache from the option after flashing zip
restart
if you have flashed any other zips or modded in any other way it may have an impact on startup
first boot can take up to 10mins
normal boots after take up to around 2mins from power on

Not used that rom
I just use lineageos

Progress but...

I was able to fix some of the issues I had. Can get the phone up and running with updated twrp and Lineage (both current)
A few issues remain:
1. every time I boot into recovery I have to grant permission even though I always swipe to allow mods
2. every time I boot into recovery, no partions are mounted, and internal storage is (0), and I cannot mount every partion only certain ones- if I format data, I am free to mount all partions, but I'm faced with the same issue every time I boot into recovery
3. after I flash as new system, wipe dalvik/cache and reboot it goes into a recovery loop. I have to format data, and reboot system and everything is fine but I'm faced with a brand new set up that I have to go through all over again (basically a new phone with no personal settings)
4. i cannot connect to wifi. wifi is working and the device recognizes local networks, but when i try to connect, it says can't connect try again.
advice greatly appreciated.
thanks!
Why didnt you continue in the same thread, it has just one post. Anyway, I've experienced point 4 on my previous device. custom ROM's dont pass WiFi security requirements sometimes. Mine didn't connect to WiFi at work but did at my home.
Long story short, seems you have a host of problems with partitions which is risky. Flash stock OOS to get partitions lined up, then go for Lineage (or stick with OOS, you have all the best features + great battery life)

Data Encrypted - Never setup any encryption

The so far...
Installed TWRP
Noticed I could not boot into factory ROM - TWRP boot loop?
Tried to factory reset from TWRP - failed; Data could not be mounted.
Changed the file system of Data to extf2; Repaired Data; Changed Data back to extf4
Factory Reset - completed
Still could not enter factory ROM - TWRP boot loop?
ADB sideload PixelExperience Custom ROM - allowed TRP to push app; boots into ROM to initial setup (G with progress bar) but doesn't advance after 15 minutes
Vol down + power -> Menu > Recovery
TWRP asks for password to decrypt data (**Edit - this is TWRP's initial screen after Logo)
*Edit* at no point in the life of this device (I bought it brand new) was it ever encrypted
At no point did I ever set a password or try to encrypt data. How do I fix this?

Did not work.
Take a breathe...
In TWRP mount internal storage and select all toggles... Back to TWRP main menu select wipe / format data - type ´yes´
To wipe the rest go back to wipe / select all toggles and wipe it
Now you can flash like your way... If you want to sideload you must activate it in TWRP by Sideload /ADB... otherwise you can flash from external storage i.e. USB stick or whatever you want....
Format data partition is important to decrypt and wipe possible encryptions...
In future pls don´t change the data formats i.e. extf2 / exft4 or let repair them in TWRP in case you can´t handle it via ADB... TWRP is a nice tool but too many ppl bricked several devices by using this method or use unofficial shady versions...
If you try to flash PE you can push the rom on internal storage after fullwipe and after a recovery restart you can install it from internal storage...
I remember some strange TWRP times where we have to mount internal storage and partitions - and yes - before installing some stuff I´ve take a look on mounting points
