Hi everyone,
(sorry for my bad english, I'm Italian)
two days ago I've buy an used Zenfone 2 ZE551ML 64gb ROM, 4gb RAM.
The seller tell me only display wasn't working.
I put it charging immediately, and bot LED and vibrating working sussefully.
But, no battery logo on the display (display KO).
So, I changed the display and when was charging, battery logo was ok.
But... a strange think happens.
Few minutes later, still charging, no BOT led, no battery logo...
I push botton to turn on it, but was dead... no vibrating, no led, nothing!
I tried to change battery, change usb dock, but nothing helps.
At the last chance, I plug it to PC.
When I plug it to PC, moorefield device appears but I don't push any botton!
Immediately, when I plug it, moorefield device appears.
If I push power button for few seconds, moorefield device disappears, but if I release button, reappers immediately... so strange.
Last chance, I tried to flash it with xFSTK but don't work.
Here the messages:
- GetAck - ER04;
- LogError;
- Error Code: 40 - ER04 - SecurityInit
Then xFSTK aborting...
Any tips??
Thank you so much.
No one can help me? Thanks...

Hi All,
I recently tried to fix my older sons xperia zl, The phone would not power on, it did not show any signs of life when plugged in to a computer. Tried all the different button combos and the off button at the back of unit but still nothing.
So I opened it up and checked each component visually, did not notice anything wrong.
I decides to see what would happen if I disconnected the battery and plugged it in to just usb to the computer.
Well it showed up in device manager as a SEMC flash device, and the red notification light came on. Then it started to try to turn on without me pushing the power button, the screen gets to the sony logo and then goes black and starts again.
The next thing I tried was to flash a new rom to it, under Flashtools it automatically goes in to flash mode, found my rom and hit flash and it completed the flash. Disconnected the usb , connected the battery but nothing no power and still nothing in device manager.
Another weird thing that happens is that while the battery is disconnected and i hold the vol+ a blue notification light turns on and the phones goes into fastboot mode.
I initially thought the battery was the problem so I ordered a new one and installed it but the same thing keeps happen, anytime the battery is connected the phones does not react to and buttons, even when the usb charging cable is also connected.
I am wondering if someone has a schematic or know of a capacitor, resistor or fuse that is stopping the phone from recognizing the battery.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Orange light blinking and phone won't turn on?
Hi guys give this a try next time you're phone has a orange blinking light. Especially for those phones that have a non removable Battery in there phones like htc 820 or an iPhone. Ok so unplug your phone press the power button 10 times at 1 second intervals to discharge it, then hold the power button for 16-30 seconds until it turns on. Then plug it up to the charger to properly charge even if it says it's charged. Hope that helps you guys out.

WOW... my phone is alive!! All i did now was:
I tried charger from my galaxy core (same amperage like htc 820 = 1A) but i used original cable from my htc charger. The led was still blinking so i decided to "knock" the back panel (around the place where connector from batterry is), then i pressed vol and vol- and power button for around 20-30s, then i pressed vol- and power button for around 30s then i released everything, then i pressed power button for 10sec and my phone turned on!!! im so happy! my phone is still on warranty but i live abroad now so i need to send it to my country to start warranty procedure but no im free of this!
Thank You guys for pushing me to try once more the magical tricks with cables, chargers and buttons
Btw.
My batterry is now 100% = that means it was charging all the time?
i don't know what was that but i am happy that it work now.
Hii...I'm facing exactly same problem...Did you fix it?
My phone goes to bootloop everytime I start it. HBOOT and Fastboot are working fine although!
Hello, following my device does not start anymore.
- PC does not recognize it, it is not because of the drivers because my Zuk z2 pro recognizes immediately
- no vibration
- no Zuk sign
- The display of what happened when I press about 1-2 minutes on the power button and plugged into the charger that the LED flashes.
-Have ordered a deep flash cable from China and there it is not recognized on the PC
- I have removed the battery and connected to the PC and it starts flashing white Led
Another idea what I can do before I throw it in the trash. Should I buy a new battery? Thank you
Hello, Huawei gadget friends.
My watch started to go in to a "low power boot loop" a week ago so I left it alone hoping a full drain would restore it back to working condition, but alas not.
So now this is the situation:
1) press button, nothing happens
2) connect to power shows the charging icon (white battery with power sign) and then after a few mins commences a boot loop as follows
3) from the charging icon, then gives the "Device software can't be checked for corruption..." message
4) followed by the red Huawei logo, then a single vibrate and then back to step 3 above
5) removing the watch from the charger stops the boot loop but then shows the low battery icon (white battery with one bar).
In one or two occasions, I saw it boot up to the colorful spinning 4 android wear logo, but did not complete (did not show "Android Wear" before rebooting again.
I have tried getting it to recovery mode screen or fastboot but without success -- I keep getting the second buzz without fail.
When the beta of 1.5 came out, I tried it, but since then, have wiped my mac and don't have the adb/fastboot software anymore. From reading the forums, there is now some new software called TWRP. Please advise what I can do.
Would I be right to suspect that it is some battery problem? Is it beyond help? :crying:
Thanks in advance!
MMM
Edit: I have also left it on for several hours charging (and rebooting constantly), thinking that perhaps it is just low battery -- but no success.
I'm experiencing the same problem, i turned it off yesterday at 17% and connected to the pc this morning to charge. I immediately noticed that it started looping with the white icon and it doesn't turn on, nor boots into download mode.
Have you found any way to restore it?
Mine doesn't show the red HW logo, charged for some hours and nothing.
I noticed that the pc see that there's something connected, but keeps saying "USB not recognized". I don't know what to do, i may open up and disconnect the battery
EDIT: SOLVED, it was just the cable that broke somehow. I soldered a new cable to the circular base but that didn't work, but as soon as i received this i connected to the pc and started pressing the button randomly till it showed the battery logo and started charging
I got this when I plugged it into my laptop. Plugging it into a dedicated USB charger solved my problem - I suspect the power rating on the USB socket wasn't high enough to charge effectively or that the USB socket is faulty in some other way. From what I understand, not all USB sockets are equal in that some are suitable for high-drain devices, some not so much. So trying another USB port on your computer may also help (Unfortunately at the time I was backing up to an external HDD on the other USB so that option wasn't open to me).
guyz, i have tried my method it actually worked on Xperia X Perfomance
When it goes to Bootloop for Drained battery, i just plug the cable and perform activity block method By pressing and holing power and both volume up and down and when it hits the 1st viberation i just simply release the key. (remember dont hold it too much long after 1st single viberation just release the keys ) and your phone will go to block activity mode. charging light will change it colors from red to blue.. after 2 minutes just press power button then you ll get another viberation and your phone will be seen as charged 2% and then it will be normal again...
i think it happens when battery drained and phone is unexpectedly trying to go boot in first place.
thank you
So it has been 2 years since my M8 got hard bricked, however staying home during this quarantine got me thinking if i could try and fix it or not, so 2 years ago
i took my M8 out of my pocket it was not responding and slow so i restarted it and since them all my phone shows is a black screen, when i try to charge it the battery icon doesn't appear still the same black screen, just for a brief second after plugging it to charge the orange light up there flickers and then nothing more, when i connect it to the pc it's recognized as qualcomm hs-usb.
My M8 was with unlocked bootloader, but S-ON, had TWRP installed on it.
Maybe you can replace a new battery, which will give a hope.
Exactly the same issue here, but tried a new battery, no go. Have you managed to find anything since last April ?
When the brown light blinks and doesn't turn on it usually means the battery is too low to turn on the phone to display that its charging, normally it takes a few seconds or minutes depending on your charger, if it does turn on in a few minutes in my experience it means your battery is dead.
Another trick I was told about is holding the power and volume down button for 15secs while plugged in then hold the power button for 10secs.

Any chance you could confirm that when plugged in to the pc it's recognized as qualcomm hs-usb. I got a feeling the bootloader got creamed, i believe it should be showing up as a HTC something...

I tried it briefly with my dead battery phone and it did not appear because it went off right after the boot screen, i
Have you tried to leave it in the charger and see if the blinking brown light turns green indicating full charge, alteast that way you can rule the battery out as the problem.
From the little googling this is the best answer I could find
