Z00A Only boot to TWRP, cant boot to system

Hi i've just update my bootloader from LP to MM, i unlock bootloader, install latest TWRP
I boot to TWRP and install XOSP 7.1 ROM, everything works fine, except for my sim 1 doesn't work, so i wipe and flash XOSP 6.0
Right after the installation of of XOSP 6.0 finish, my Z00A cant boot to system, it boot straight to TWRP instead
I tried eveything i can, flash another ROM, reinstall bootloader, flash every custom recovery, back to stock recovery, adb sideload stock firmware, literraly everything
The only problem is it just boot straight to twrp, selecting boot to system, bootloader in TWRP still lead to TWRP, same with adb commands
The only thing i can do is hold down power + volum up to get to bootloader
Please help
FIX
Flash TWRP 3.0.3.3 and it worked
Incase you want to flash XOSP 6.0, downgrade to LP Bootloader
perform advanced wipe in twrp. and then flash stock rom again. if no help then flash xfstk

Just flash this twrp
https://infinitus-rom.com/downloads/uploads/TWRP/TWRP_3.0.3.3_Zenfone2.zip
And Flash rom again ?
In TWRP select reboot -- then power off .
Count to 15 -- press power plus vol+ to go to bootloader
Use Modder tool by giovix in general section - Return to stock option , in that option select boot.img and then recovery.
Then unlock bootloader again in modder
flash twrp "............................................................................................"
root ........ "............................................................................................"
Flash Cleanstock rom in rom section -- set it up ,see if prob persists- if not, back it up .
Flash 3 0 3 3 TWRP and whatever you like after
Your problem stems from the fact that you upgraded your bootloader to mm to install 7.1.but you need to downgrade to LP bootloader for 6.0 rom

Thanks
Flash TWRP 3.0.3.3 and it worked, many thanks guys. Latest version may not be the best
link to twrp is not working. Please please please anyone upload the TWRP_3.0.3.3_Zenfone2.zip one more time!

@hisee and @Eliminater
Gentlemen,
I am really looking forward to trying out this rom.
I noticed @hisee had this issue so i am trying to bring it to your attention to @Eliminater . It seems i dont have permission to post on the rom itself . Perhaps an XDA admin can help me with this?
Anyways he was having this issue:
""
1) Take a nandroid backup
3) Full wipe (system,data,cache)
5) Install Recovery.
6) Reboot OP3 in recovery
7) Install Firmware & Modem
8) Install last Rom by Eliminater
9) Install last ARM64 7.1 nano Open GApps
10) Reboot OP3 in system
but after reboot it always going to recovery
even poweroff also rebotting and opening recovery only""
I was also getting the same issue.
I solved this issue by downloading the latest toolkit here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-3/development/toolkit-oneplus-3-toolkit-unlock-t3398799
Then i ran it and flashed stock recovery, boot into fastboot mode, then flash the latest twrp with the toolkit. I then also pushed the disable DM verify zip from the toolkit. After a few reboots it let me into recovery "TWRP Recovery 3.0.4-1 by @jcadduono" .
Finally i was able to
1)Flash firmware/modem
2)Flash latests RR rom zip
3)Flash the opengapps pico
4) Reboot into system and start playing with the rom
Hope this helps anyone who ran into the same issue @hisee and I had.
Perhaps it has something to do with the 3.0.4-0 twrp that is listed on the main page @Eliminater ?

Oreo update for rooted OnePlus 5t

Pls help me updating my 5t to oreo.i am currently on version 4.7.6 with twrp recovery nd super su root.
After updating to Oreo I again want to root my phone
Pls share links to download compatibile ROM, recovery nd super su.zip
But you already have the OREO OOS ROM installed, why not use it? Flash the Oreo recovery from codeworkx through fastboot, make sure to follow the instructions so it sticks and then flash Magisk or any root solution of your choice. It's not hard if you do some searching.
Check in ROMs' threads and come back what your interested ROM is.
What I did was flash the ota to update me to Oreo. Then had to reflash Magisk and kernel.

If you have already installed a custom recovery and rooted your phone then you should be able to follow these instructions.
I can personally confirm that I was able to install the beta versions of Oreo and the final version of Oreo without any issues.
Here's what I did:
1. Download full .zip
2. Download Blu_Spark TWRP or Codeworkx TWRP (I personally used Blu_Spark but both should work).
3. Download Magisk 15.3 (I havent used SuperSu in a while so I can't confirm how well it works on Oreo but in my opinion Magisk is a better root method and it works in this version of android).
4. Make sure you have both ROM and Magisk on a easy to find place on your phone.
5. Boot to fastboot and fastboot flash the recovery you just downloaded.
6. Boot to recovery, wipe dalvik and cache and then install the ROM.
7. Once the installation is done, boot to system and wait till the system to finish updating. Once there you can go to settings > phone status and it should read (android version = 8.0.0 and OxygenOS version = 5.0.2, congrats, you're on the latest OxygenOS version for this phone).
8. Reboot to fastboot, and fastboot flash the custom recovery again.
9. Boot to recovery, wipe dalvik and cache again, and flash Magisk, wipe dalvik and cache once more and reboot to system.
10. Once the phone is booted up, you should be rooted with Magisk and on the latest OS.
9. Boot to recovery, wipe dalvik and cache again, and flash Magisk, wipe dalvik and cache once more and reboot to system.
10. Once the phone is booted up, you should be rooted with Magisk and on the latest OS.
NOTE: Since this is a big version update from Nougat, it's always recommended to do a clean flash although not necessary in most cases unless there are issues like big battery drain or when apps or the OS are not working properly. Also, if you are coming from a custom ROM and not the official OxygenOS, then you should definitely do a clean installation (even if said custom ROM is based on OxygenOS).

Wiping data and system partition which means you're wiping the entire OS and installing the new version on a clean partition. Think of it as formatting a hard drive and installing an OS instead of just upgrading your existing OS.
You obviously lose all apps installed, and it would be like when you first turned on your phone, however as long as you don't wipe internal storage, all your photos, music, etc are not wiped so you can use apps like titanium backup to restore all apps and data .
This method is recommended when switching from different custom ROM's and when upgrading from major version updates, like for example, going to Android 8 from Andorid 7.

I used that same version of TWRP back during the Oreo beta and it didn't work so I had to switch to blu_spark.

So i took the jump and flashed blu spark and the 5.0.3 full rom.
Yes i lost the recovery to stock, but that's ok. Just want to get OTA in the future and I don't need root at the moment.
So this is what i did (coming from 4.7.6, official twrp, magisk 15.3)
Make sure you have all the necessary files (eg. blu spark img file and the full ota file on your phone
boot the fastboot and "fastboot flash recovery twrp-3.2.1-x_blu_spark_v8.68-op5_op5t.img"
On the phone, choose and go to recovery
(now i'm on blu spark) Wipe Cache and Dalvik cache (i did this 2 times just to make sure)
Choose install and select the full ota rom file
Let it run and install the rom (took less than 5 mins)
Wipe Cache and Dalvik cache again (again, i wiped 2 times just to make sure)
Reboot
Make take a while (less than 10mins) for android to start and do the upgrade etc
Done
So far so good, i don't see any immediate problem. I will play a bit more and will post if I encounter any problem :good:
I have updated to 5.0.3 through system update app. where it downloaded full ota file and installed. Now I want to install twrp nd root my phone so pls confirm my steps
1 boot into fastboot mode and flash bluespark recovery
2 wipe delvik/cache from twrp recovery
3 flash magisk zip
4 again wipe delvik cache
5 reboot
are above steps correct?

I presume you are on OOS. Download and flash full zip of OOS (not OTA), flash TWRP (latest) and flash Magisk in that order. Reboot after all flash is complete.
To be on the safer side, wipe system, data (excluding storage), Dalvic and cache and reboot into recovery before flashing OOS.

Hi its quiet easy.
U have TWRP recivery.
So first download OOS full zip. Yhe link you can find in oneplus website or forum.
Then download latest magisk from official site .( It is universal ,it is not device specific. )
Back up your data.
Go to recovery ,do a nandroid backup( optional but recommended)
Then wipe cache, dalvic, system, data( all data gone)
Dont format sd card. ( Files in internal memory preserved, but still better to back up)
Then install the OOS zip
After that install magisk zip
Reboot to recovery( to preserve the TWRP,some times it gets changed to stock)
Reboot system.
Check for magisk manager
If not download from magisk forum. Check root.
you are done.
This is all According to my knowledge. Please feel free to correct me.
Usefull links ( i hope i can share links no issue in that !??)

Error 7 Twrp

I am Argentine and practically do not speak English, so I will use the translator and it will not be the most accurate.
I am one of the people who change the ROOM of my cell phone every week and until nothing, 1 month I almost get the "Error 7 updater" in TWRP when installing any ROOM AOSP, but in ROOMS xiaomi does not happen, I have seen videos on which said that I had to modify a text inside the room and others, which works and removes the error but at the time of using the device it does not work for me:
The flashlight, the camera, does not recognize the PC, has no audio and so on.
I can not find any way out of that error, and I'm a fan of pixel experience, I went back to Miui because I wanted to use the gestures they had a few days since I missed them when I had the buttons on the screen, but when I wanted to reinstall the pixel experience came out that error, and with any other room that is not MIUI, please the one that can help me I thank you :good:
You need to flash official twrp recovery. download recovery from https://dl.twrp.me/whyred/ and place it in you internal storage or sdcard et cetra and flash from your current recovery. I hope this will solve your problem.
But remember that the link i mentioned above is only for whyred (Note 5 Pro)
thanks your answer, but that does not solve the problem, in fact I already have installed the twrp 3.3.0.0
