Verify Watch's CSC country code? - Samsung Galaxy Watch

Is there a simple way to view our Watch's CSC country code, directly on the watch or paired phone without having to use sdb?

Chromebook is not officially supported, since the Tizen Studio installer is built for Windows, Mac, and Ubuntu. If you want to do that on a Chromebook, you'll need to emulate/virtualize one of those operating systems.

But how does this package fit into that? This looks like perhaps a way to get native debugging working, but I don't see what to do with this.
You haven't provided any information about what it does--the program just quits regardless of zune state or WP-device connected state. What does it do? Through what means is someone to interact with it? I don't know too much about how RAPI worked on Windows Mobile, but there isn't any indication of how to use /this/ in the article you linked.

I give to more info... but not now my friend
[This is a reverse engineering effort in progress. Your mileage may vary and information below could be completely inaccurate. Proceed at your own risk.]
It's a Windows service. Copy it somewhere handy, and issue the command (editing the path as necessary). NOTE: The spaces are required.
Sadly, I don't recall retail phones having RAPI bits, so doubt this will be useful. I'll have another look at the filesystem though.
Update: Judging by the way this executable behaves, it's likely meant to replace WMZuneComm.exe.
Update 2: Because of the reliance on Zune libraries (e.g. ZuneSA.dll), this is for 32-bit Zune users.
Update 3: Listens on localhost, port 64694
These are old binaries from old Zune client software. Retail devices don't have RAPI bits (verified via samsung ffus), therefore this is useless. Silly original poster.

You do not have right to end because of ... Each distributed system WP7, has the shell RAPI applications and libraries.
You can't just dust off old Zune files from 2009 and magically connect this to a phone. Get real.

usually phones are locked by imei no. so will work only for that phone
if you try this on other phones is to get an error message only -so will not hurt to try but no results also if you try 3-5 times an unlock code phone is hard locked - only service tools(/unlock box/dongle) can reflash /unlock it
stupid noob question
u said unlock box/dondle? what are those? service tools.
so i guess my question is this. is the unlock code somewhere on the phone is there a way or person who can help me find it without going through tmobile

it's hard-coded in radio firmware you can't find it so easy also it depends of your phone model i.e. look here to see how to unlock a galaxy i-9000 phone
ok im working with the garminfone on this project. and when adb it doesnt recognize this device. any clue on how to arrange it so it does. it will connect to the computer and i can see the files from there but it just will not be found as a device through adb

as I said you will not solve that problem...
to make Garminfone to work on PC install Android SDK and phone drivers (from CD or Garmin site or just install sync software and you get it) after installing SDK and drivers you should get ADB interface working check this by running adb check from console (cmd.exe) don't forget to add adb location to system path or just enter adb.exe folder before usually the folder is ~\android-sdk\platform-tools\
now check your ADB interface is working open cmd.exe in adb.exe folder then
Code:
adb devices
if you don't get this your phone will not work with PC
don't forget to activate usb debugging on phone

TL;DR you need to install the combination firmware and edit two files
INFO: Netodin works fine in linux as well with wine since it works over the wifi
1. Start NetOdin3 click options and disable auto reboot
2. Click AP and select the combination firmware
3. Hold reboot button on the Samsung watch, when the reboot screen shows up press home multiple times to get into the boot menu
4. Jump to the Download (Wireless) and hold the boot button again to get into the Firmware download menu
5. Press the same button to more times to switch the watch to AP mode
6. Connect your wifi to the watch SM-R830-someid
7. In NetOdin3 press Start to flash the combination firmware
8. Click reset and now press CSC button
9. Select the CSC md5 and press start
10. When you reboot the device hold the boot button again until you enter the boot menu again
11. Select recovery and let the device restart
12. Enter settings -> About watch -> Software -> Tap software version until debug mode starts (you may need to restart your watch)
13. Connect watch to wifi
14. sdb connect <watchip>
15. sdb root on
16. sdb shell
17. backup active-customer.info: sdb pull /csa/csc/csc-active-customer.inf
18. backup prodcode.dat: sdb pull /csa/imei/prodcode.dat
19. edit /csa/csc/csc-active-customer.inf and replace csc code (I used vim and the XAR for the US version, https://www.geeksforgeeks.org/vi-editor-unix/ )
20. edit /csa/imei/prodcode.dat and replace last three characters to csc code you want (don't enter the csc selection after this it will reset it to the factory region)
21. reboot the device into recovery (i used /usr/bin/csc-util --reboot customer_change but i'm not sure it's necessary)
22. run netodin again and select AP, BL and CSC to flash stock
23. enjoy samsung pay if you have a US credit card (seems like you no longer need to install samsung pay apks on non samsung phone it's part of the wearables app)

A Beginner
Hi,
First of all I want to thank you guys for the grat work.
I want to say that I am actually a beginner or amature when it comes to what you are doing
The instructions are very clea. But I would really appreciate it if anybody describes what to do with more details, especially the codes of sdb. Just some more details
It would be great if you can upload a video "If possible"
1. What is the worst thing that might happen if I do something wrong? Can the watch be ruind? Can I fix it if it happens?
2. Where can I find the csc of my country "Sweden" I googled it and found like 5 or 6 different csc !! Is there any trusted source?
3. Is it appliable to R820??? the 44mm model? or do I need to do something different in my case??
Thanks in advance
Coming from the other thread to confirm this worked for me, thanks a ton! Didn't think it would be that simple with just editing two text files.. lol
For those who missed it(I did), some steps are missing where one has to repeatedly connect back to AP every time something has to be done in NetOdin.
Also if anyone is confused about the steps, it's pretty much the same process for all samsung watches so just search for it on youtube, it's there.
Out of curiosity, where did you get the firmware from?? @tb_

Hi ,
Thanks for your feedback, are the sdb thing code mandatory?on youtube they only add the 3 or 4 files on odin and just flash it...
Hey guys, firstly thankyou! This worked perfectly and now I'm able to use Samsung pay down in Australia! Only thing that I would add from the perspective of being a complete beginner to Odin, is how to save the files when you edit the CSC (press escape then type ":wq") it took me an extra 20 minutes to figure it out and I thought someone might find it useful

Got it from a third party. I was worried that it was counterfeit so before installing it I went through the system files to see if it's really the right model. But I can of course not guarantee that it wasn't modified by a third party. But I kinda assume that samsung won't boot from any random image given that you can't downgrade Samsung and even their tizen to any version you want apparently.

The csc.img has BTU inside. But I can't guarantee you anything when I ran this with my zone set to XTC it was booting fine but I couldn't get my phone to connect / initialize the watch after the factory reset. But not sure if it was the app or because i didn't properly reset or if I maybe shouldn't have reset.
So I can tell you that it will boot without issues but whether it works no idea. Maybe someone else can comment on that.

No one will give you guarantees on this because no one wants to blame if something goes wrong. But if you try absolutely under no circumstances interrupt the flashing process and absolutely don't use the wrong model ROM. Also to be safe don't try to flash a firmware that has a lower version than your current one.

I am trying hard I swear. Lately after downloading the shared files in the links in the original post. I can't start the file "web-cli_Tizen_Studio_3.3_windows-64"
It is just flashing a cmd window and nothing happens after that!
What should I do in this case??
The other file in the link "web-ide_Tizen_Studio_3.3_windows-64" is telling I should have JDK software which I installed but It didn't help anyway!

Normally the watch comes up with a prompt to allow your pc to connect to your watch. Maybe you might have to restart your watch. I would try the netodin step first because it might be more straightforward to connect the combination firmware to the computer because I didn't get any prompt on that.
Also maybe check that your virus scanner/firewall isn't blocking access.

VOLTE Success, Activation without Firmware Replacement (Sony Mobile withdrawal area)

Hello Xperia users! In the meantime, I finally solved the VOLTE problem! I approached Qualcomm's diagnostic port-active-efsExplorer and solved the problem by inserting a VOLTE profile from my carrier
Sorry, this is Korea and I am Korean.
However, I will write down the method in English.
Unlike previous 1&5, Qualcomm's diagnostic port cannot be opened.
opening command
I don't even know. I don't think so.
So it's a little different from before.
I tried to force it open.
debugging connection
Open the Command Proposal window.
adb shell input
su input
Do you want to allow shell on your phone?
prompt acceptance of permission
Then the $ shape changes to #.
Now
setprop persist.usb.eng 1
Copy paste entry. Please enter
And you're gonna be out there during tethering.
In My Computer Item
View Device Manager.
Please turn debugging back on.
Of course, no access.
If you turn on debugging again,
I've already set it up, so it looks like that.
Among them, there is a product model named XQ-AT52.
There are four yellow exclamation points in total.
Manually update driver Press [port] to list the manufacturers
It's called Qualcomm hs-usb-diagh and 9091. with this
I need a manual update. gogo
Now run the EFS Express.
Press 0 on the ROW and OK.
(ROW or SF_Default)
Oh, it takes a long time. I thought it stopped.
It opens if you stay still. LOL
It's open. How nice to see you here!
I am the Korean telecommunication company EFS file extracted from xperia1.
I used it. If you need VOLTE,
XPERIA1 (Modem).Extract from SIN file
I will use the Korean communication file.
Just drag it and put it in a folder.
v check and Yes
There'll be folders that don't exist while you're pulling them in.
Then make it and put the file in.
In the folder where you can view this red file,
Drag and drop the file twice.
The reason is that once you do it, you just go in.
The red file is not updated.
That's how the numbers at the back change when you renew.
So make sure to put it in twice.
Files beginning with NV do not have folders.
Put it on top.
It's over now!

It was such a hard time for me!

Hi, why don't you show by video or pictures. The windowns language is English. ???

I estimate, its only possible by unlocking/rooting the phone?
how to
Even with the great contributors' information, I think there are a few areas where I struggle.
For additional information, I will post my success stories.
I'm posting them in machine translation. Please forgive me if it's hard to read.
STEP 1: Implement the Tools You Need
Please install the following tools.

Qualcomm-hs-usb-diagnostics-9091-952454(DIAG driver)
Flashtool (and XperiaFirm)
newflasher(INSTALL is unnecessary, but please get it.)

STEP2: Get a "modem" that supports VoLTE.
As a prerequisite (regardless of the DualSim/SinglSim model)
For countries that want to use VoLTE, SONY is offering
  Official firmware is required.
  In my example.
Purchased model: XQ-AT52 (for Hong Kong)
The country where you want to use it: Japan -> SO-51A is available.
(The difference in the number of slots in the SIM doesn't affect it. )
  This is the case.
If the firmware to run VoLTE does not exist in the country where you want to use it
  This method does not work.
The annotations are long, but here are the steps.
Use XperiFirm, provided by SONY in the country where you want to use VoLTE.
   Download the firmware.

STEP3: Use the newflasher to write the firmware from STEP2 to your Xperia 1 ii.
In this case, if you want to burn into a model with a different number of SIM slots
Example: Writing SO-51A firmware to XQ-AT52
→The SIM will not be recognized, but it is temporary.
STEP4: Use EFS Explorer to get the necessary files.
Follow the steps of the great htcmage and have your Xperia 1 ii recognized by EFS Explorer.
  4-1: Install the QPST.
4-2:Install Magisk on your Xperia 1 ii.
Therefore, it is mandatory to unlock the bootloader.
4-3:Execute the commands at the command prompt as follows.
    adb shell
su
setprop persist.usb.eng 1
Magisk's permission is now required to get SuperUser privileges in su.
Note: From the Magisk menu, go to "# SuperUser" and click on
     You can allow.
4-4: The debug mode is disconnected, so you need to re-enable it.
4-5: If you have installed the qualcomm-hs-usb-diagnostics-9091-952454 (DIAG driver), you can use
It is recognized by EFS Explorer.
4-6: On the Phone Selectio screen, Banner selects the ROW port.
STEP 5: Back up the files required for VoLTE activation.
Before following the steps below, you must have the SIM of the line/carrier you want to enable VoLTE on.
    Please plug in.
I have backed up the following folders.
There may be some things you don't need, but at least it works.
   Data_Profiles
efsprofiles
Ims.
nv/item_files/datamodem
nv/item_files/ims
nv/item_files/mcfg
nv/item_files/modem
STEP6: Write the firmware you want to use, and copy the file from STEP5 to
   Override.
Follow steps 3 to 4 of STEP 3 to 4 to get the firmware you want to use.
Write & make EFS Explorer recognize it. (Don't remove the SIM.)
Then, overwrite it with the files backed up in STEP 5.
You should probably now have VoLTE available.
Thanks to the person who walked me through the Magisk installation process, and to the great htcmage.
Also, I pray that others wandering in the same sea of information will be saved.

Please install the following tools.
QPST(QPST_2.7.460)
Qualcomm-hs-usb-diagnostics-9091-952454(DIAG driver)
Flashtool (and XperiaFirm)
newflasher(INSTALL is unnecessary, but please get it.)

Hello, you are so cool Thank you so much for organizing the guide. I hope it helps many xperia 1 II users ah! I opened the volte-related menu without changing the firmware using the magical module. The reason is that the buildprop cannot be modified for this xperia1 II

Sorry, this is Korea and I am Korean.
However, I will write down the method in English.
Unlike previous 1&5, Qualcomm's diagnostic port cannot be opened.

I don't even know. I don't think so.
So it's a little different from before.
I tried to force it open.

Open the Command Proposal window.
adb shell input
su input

Then the $ shape changes to #.
Now
setprop persist.usb.eng 1
Copy paste entry. Please enter
And you're gonna be out there during tethering.
In My Computer Item
View Device Manager.
Please turn debugging back on.
Of course, no access.
If you turn on debugging again,
I've already set it up, so it looks like that.
Among them, there is a product model named XQ-AT52.
There are four yellow exclamation points in total.

I used a software called S1 Unlock Tool. You need to buy a credit from this website: https://networkunlocking.com/shop/sony-xperia-cable-unlock-0-counter-supported/. There is also a link to download the software. Along with unlocking your phone it will also grant you access to unlock your bootloader if you wish to do so. I did this and tried to root my phone but I wasn't successful, it just soft bricked my phone and was stuck in a boot loop. I had to use Xperia Companion to restore my phone. Maybe you can't root the Japanese variants, I'm not sure. I saw on here on another forum that you can root the Xperia 1 II.

Android Auto on vivo phone

Hey, I recently received my vivo x60 pro plus. I'm trying to setup android auto and can't figure out why it's not working.
So my hope is, someone over here could help.
When I start the android auto app, it asks for several permissions. I've granted them all, but I'm not able to grant "floating windows" I don't know if this the correct translation for it.
It's simply not possible because android auto doesn't appear in that list and I can't activate it. Someone had similar issues or does have a workaround?
I'm on X60 pro plus...... Same issue....
Hi.
I have the same issue on an iqoo 5 since updating to android 11 (it worked before)
Have either of you managed to get android auto to work?
Exactly same issue here! Any progress?
Hi.
A little progress maybe.
I have managed to give permissions and get into the app on my phone using an adb command :
adb shell pm grant com.google.android.projection.gearhead android.permission.SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW
However, there is an issue when connecting to my car.
The phone screen seems to freeze and I must change the foreground app to something other than AA (android auto seems to crash)
The connection doesn't happen and no car is detected in android auto.

Hello. Since you use a x60. Did you realize that photos seems different in the native album comparing to google photos for example (both in the phone)? And in the native album that image seems to loose saturation when you try to edit it? Also, if you upload the pictures to google photos and try to see them in a compute screen, the saturation changes when zooming in the image?

The same thing to me. I was able do acess Android Auto on phone with this adb. However the car does not recognize the android auto on the phone and the phone does not recognize the connection with the car. It seems surprising how one of the most important apps in android does not work and vivo seems to be ignoring or not solving this issue.
Hello, I contacted Vivo China and they told me the following.

Carlifeplus is not even close to the Android Auto. It's a Chinese app meant only for the phone and working only with other Chinese apps in Chinese language.
I've written to the support myself and haven't gotten any useful help either.
I like Vivo phones and I don't have other problems with Origin OS. I'm seriously considering buying X70 pro+ which suppose to hit the market in September. And I recommend Vivo to address AA issue very seriously. Because like many others, I won't buy any phone without AA. I would look somewhere else, the new Honor could be a decent replacement.
Hello, I found this application, I do not know if it could work to accept the permission, as it does not matter if the phone is blocked, I could try.
