I was wondering if there was some mod or some way you can disable the phones camera from autofocusing in video mode at night time as it is a problem for me especially when filming fireworks and the phone would un focus and re focus at least 5-10 times in a 15 minute timeframe and it would be nice to just completely disable it temporary at night. I am using CM9.
since last night my phone will not rotate. i have tried to switch on and off auto rotate but nothing. also tried removing the battery and turning on still nothing. then i tried the dial code *#0*# and went to "sensors" and all the values were at zero like they were not responding. the only thing that seems to work is auto brightness. i can also use air view but that is it. this all started when i was watching a movie i was getting lag then noticed that the phone would not with orentations. i noticed that evilart1 released wicked rom v5 last night so i downloaded and flashed that thinking that would fix my problems. so now I'm on wicked rom v5 still same problem please help i don't know what to do i have had my note 3 since the release date i ended up doing a customer exchange on my 13th day and have had this device since then. any help would be great thanks.
Greetings,
My T-mobile Note 3 has a problem with the Rear Camera problem. I have to hold the camera on the subject about 2 seconds after the shutter sound, to wait for the line in the processing pop up window has scrolled across the screen. If i move the Note 3 before this is done the image is blurred or complelely lost off the picture. The image stabilizeation feature is on. The unit currently has Kit Kat (ver 4.4.2). Is there a setting I am missing? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have been noticing this issue as well, mainly after the update to 4.4. Prior to the update, i could move the phone when the processing pops up and it still had the right picture. I reduced the resolution down to 6MP wide and it still has the same problem.
Only way I found to fix the issue was to turn off the smart stabilization feature. I don't see a use for this feature right now as I am able to hold the phone steady enough.

Thanks for the advice.
I shut off image stabilization, same as you and the problem is no longer there. Thank you for your suggesting. I hope this issue will be addressed in a future update from Samsung.

Update:
I chatted with a Samsung tech support online in regards to this issue. The problem seems to have been addressed by going into the camera app and clearing the cache and Data (Settings -> General [top tab] -> Application manager -> Camera). I don't know if this is a permanent solution (I doubt it), but it addresses the immediate problem. Fortunately, it seems that the pictures taken using the camera are still intact. :good: Once again, I hope Samsung will supply an update to address this issue.

No Dice....I cleared the data and cache and tried taking a picture with the stabilization on. After I clicked the camera icon and once the processing info popped up, I moved the phone. The recorded picture was not the one that i was focusing on when i clicked.
And I thought it was just me and my phone. I've not been to happy with the camera on the 3 because of this and I'm rooted so I didn't feel like unrooting to take it back and try another phone. I still use Samsung camera for video recording. (Smooth video by the way is like no other that I've seen, even on real camera's.) I downloaded Google camera from phonearena and it works fine for pictures, Samsungs is fine to as long as you don't move but I'll keep Googles. http://click.xda-developers.com/api....4) - xda-developers&txt=http://goo.gl/VEBuiq
hoping someone here can help me.
my wife just got a replacment for here tmobile galaxy s4 & the camera suddenly started bugging. it would freeze after taking a picture or after focusing
things i've tried:
- clearing camera data and cache
- wiping system cache
- turning off auto night mode and lowering photo size
-downloading 3rd party camera apps ( also freezes )
being thats it a brand new phone, idk what the issue is. we've only had it for a week & it hasn't been rooted.
upon arrival , it was on the latest update.
my s4 is one update behind and 5months old and has no problems
thanks in advance for any help
much appreciated.
The phone has a defect. Can you return it or exchange it for another?
Hi
I have been experiencing really poor blurring on the main camera Portrait mode following updating to the latest Oreo 8.1 update a week or so ago. (OTA update). I have a UK black white version on EE. This did not happen before the update.
The selfie mode is still very good like it was prior to the update. However for the main camera I can't seem to get very good results... No matter how I take the pic. Here is an example...
Anybody else experiencing this?
Thanks
Kozzy
