I'm running OOS PIE 9.0.5 and I removed the OnePlusGallery and replaced it with SimpleGallery.
SimpleGallery is listed as the default gallery app.
When I take a picture with the camera, the small image on the right that appears, when I tap it, just above where it says; Video - Photo- Protrait, on the screen it will say 'No Photos' and nothing happens, it won't open the SimpleGallery app.
I was hoping I could use another gallery app and when tapping the image it would open.
Does anyone know if this is possible to get working?
Thanks
I really hope there's some solution to this, cause OnePlus gallery lacks a lot of basic features.

The generic default camera app my nexus came with, use to show a thumbnail of the last picture you took. It would just sit in the bottom right of the screen.
It was super handy, cause I could tell if I did indeed just take a picture of what I was trying to take a picture of.. ANNNNND if i clicked the thumbnail it would open up the photogallery.. tres handy.
Does anyone know where I could get that app? or if there is a better camera app that has the same sort of functionality? I think the Galaxy SIII defauly camera app does this.
In the camera app swipe the right edge of the screen left and it will show your gallery.

thanks. that is totally awesome.
Also, search for camera ics in the play store.
The secure camera widget on the lockscreen for SlimBean doesn't work correctly.
It loads up the GUI elements, but then hangs without loading the camera feed (black screen).
It is then unresponsive, however I can exit with the back key.
My second problem is that when you use the default camera app to take a picture in a separate app, after you take a picture and are asked to confirm the picture, it doesn't pause on the picture you take, rather just becomes a live feed.
Thanks.

Flash the Camera Fix located in the thread.
What about the fact that after you take a picture within a separate app (using camera), that it doesn't pause on the picture you're taking?
I have the latest CM 10.1 d2spr nightly and I'm noticing that when I take a picture (either with the camera app or another app that has camera support), I have no preview of it after it's taken.
For instance, in the Facebook app, once you take a photo, you're given a checkmark and an X to decide whether or not you want to accept or reject the taken photo. With mine, I take the picture, the screen flashes to indicate the photo's been taken, but the on-screen image continues in camera mode. So I have no idea what the picture I've just taken looks like.
Is everybody's like this or just mine and there's a setting I haven't noticed to change yet?

I have the same problem, apparently the solution is to use a custom camera app for those in-app photos and use the native app to take regular pictures... I'm still trying to figure out how though
I am trying to set my camera up as a temporary streaming option by mirroring my phone screen on my PC with the camera app. The obvious issue being all of the UI on the camera preview screen. I have tried some of the streaming apps, but they don't have all of the features of the stock camera app (like utilizing the wide-angle lens). Does anyone know if I am missing anything? Or is it just impossible?
Hi,
Coming from a P4XL, I used a lot the AE/AF locking function in the camera app when tapping the padlock icon.
However It seems there is no more AE/AF lock option in the P6XL camera app.
It was extremely useful to create hi-res panoramas.
Did I miss something or is it really gone?
I think I've noticed the same thing. At least, I was wondering if it changed and it automatically locks when I manually click on something I'm looking at in the camera app, or what.
