So... I just recently installed a bt a2dp compatible stereo receiver in my car and when bluetooth audio is connected it sounds mediocre/ok.. BUT I remember several years ago on windows mobile phones being able to increase bitpool or something in the registry that largely improved a2dp sound quality .. I've been out of the loop on A2dp as of late .. is there any similar hacks or roms that provide higher quality a2dp? Anyone... anyone....
What type of headunit. I know that sony has the option when you adjust bass/treble, etc that a bluetooth option is available to boost the input via BT. I used that in my wife's vehicle.
It's a Kenwood Excelon receiver / KDC-x996 .. and I am able to adjust treble/bass on the headunit when connected via a2dp .. and it does sound ok.. but I remember when adjusting the bitstream/bitpool the audio quality would go from ok and flat to near cd quality .. it really was very noticeable.
I connect my Xperiz Z1 C to a Sony PHA-1 Amp via mini usb cable. Audio has been great but after the recent Software update I have no access to
audio settings. Equalizer and Clear Audio controls appear but no longer work. Audio level is low and flat. Anybody know what the heck is going on?
How to check if my unit support bluetooth low energy?
I'm no able to connect some devices but I can see them in blueooth settings.
On my 6.1 plus running android Pie, connecting my bluetooth headphones that supports AAC doesn't seem to work.
In the bluetooth device options, the HD Audio: AAC is shown and enabled after the initial pairing, but disappears after reconnecting.
In addition, the codec in use as shown in developer options shows SBC and refuses to change to AAC.
And poweramp also says it's using SBC.
I know my bluetooth headphones do support AAC because on another device, that was the codec in use.
Is anyone else having this issue?

On my Moto X4 also have this same problem after upgrading to Android 9
I tried with my Nokia 6.1, it connects and keep the connection as AAC with a Sony XB40 and a Pioneer NEX5200, at every connection. However the Sony supports LDAC, and even if the ldac libraries are on the phone, it only uses AAC
Bluetooth on pie is 100% f**ked. Google broke it after the first beta release. It affects all devices, including their flagship pixel line.
Flash an 8.1 rom or get an iPhone. That's your options unfortunately.
Galaxy S9+, Android 9
The Smartthings --> Audio Output section contains a Display Device as an output. Whenever a bluetooth headset disconnects, that becomes the default one instead of the My Phone.
As far as I remember it appeared there after first connecting to a TV and starting Dex.
Now I'm not able to get rid of it. (I'm not using Dex anymore, the phone is not connected to a TV via HDMI)
Anyone any idea? Thanks!
