I have the Galaxy Watch Active. I was able to turn it off by on the watch going to Settings / Account / Customization Service / Supported Apps and toggle the Daily Briefing switch to off.

Hello, ok this has been bugging me really bad. My main use for a smartwatch apart from telling the time is to know when I have notifications when my phone is on silent.
Since maybe marshmallow on my Z5 I think the "do not disturb" feature is also applying to my watch.
My expected outcome for when my phone is in that mode is for my watch to vibrate when a message or call comes through hence I know there is a notification there.
It used to work like that and so did my other Sony smartwatches I have had however now it does not.
Am I missing a crucial setting or something?
The notifications come through fine but when in that mode there is no vibrate.
Thank you
Yes, I also have this... problem?
I have Marshmallow installed on my Z3 Compact and when I apply "Do not disturb" mode to my phone, the watch only displays notifications but does not vibrate at all. I think that's the main purpose of this mode.
Main purpose of the mode on the phone yes but surely not the watch

Yes... I agree and somehow miss Lollipop's priority option, it worked pretty nice sometimes.
"Silent mode" in Miui triggers "do not disturb" on smart watch???
Hello all,
I use a Huawei Smart watch with my brand new Mi Max Helium phone - which has the most recent global Miui rom installed.
I prefer to receive vibrating alerts on my watch - with no sound on the phone.
On my other phones I select "silent" mode on the phone and the watch (as well as the phone) vibrate when calls come in.
On the Mi Max the moment I select "silent", the watch goes in "Do not disturb" mode and no vibrations are delivered...
It also works in the reverse: if I select "do not disturb" on the watch, "silent" mode is activated on the phone.
So somehow those two toggles are mixed up as the "do not disturb" on the watch should be linked to DND on the phone
Is there any fix for this?
Thank you for any suggestions
Update: this is apparently a know issue - and there seems to be no clear fix. My smart watch has to work - so time now to explore alternative roms...

Try feel the wear or smart wear notification apps

Is there a solution for this problem now? On Pure Nexus I had no problem, but back on Global Miui there is the problem with the DND Mode on the Smartwatch, if I switch to silent in Miui.
How can I disable notifications coming from s health and weather notifications on my Samsung galaxy watch. I like the apps and their info but I really don't need my watch to bother me during the day to tell me good job you have put one foot in front of the other keep it up or it is presently 5c out side. I need to see this information only when I decide.
Thanks

did you manage to get this sorted and if so how ...
Thanks
Go to the Wear App on your phone then to notifications and turn the ones you don't want off
Enven with Samsung health notifications off on the Samsung wear app. I still get stupid remoders. GOOD JOB YOU HAVE STARTED WALKING.

Go into Samsung Health, touch the 3 bars, then settings gear, turn off detect workouts if it's on, under notifications make dure its turned off. Also touch the walking icon on the watch, swipe up to settings and make sure notifications are off there also..
What alarm app is everyone using? I used Timely for years, but the dev hasn't updated it since 2018 and it doesn't work in 10.
I started using AMdroid, but it too doesn't work; the alarm won't display with the screen locked. I'm having to unlock my phone with one eye open, drag the tray down to access the persistent notification, and then tap to open the app to snooze or dismiss.

I can't find alarm application like Timely till now..I hope it will be updated soon
Stock app. You can set multiple alarms and set for certain days. Why would you need another app?
Though I do use Beautiful Widgets to access it...
it doesn't have sync with multiple devices feature
Obviously I'm aware of the stock Clock app.
My biggest reason for using a third party app is volume increase, additional options, and multiple devices.

i always use 2 alarm apps as a backup in case the 1st alarm app didnt go off.
i use Alarm Clock Xtreme, you can set a quick alarm like entering 10 minutes or 20 mintues. or preset it with 1 click to wake you in 30 minutes, etc
Google watch.
Stock app lacks increasing volume, ability to end a recurring alarm before it happens and "press button to end alarm" option.

You must have not used it in a while, because it had all of these things. The sync across multiple devices I cannot confirm, but the others features I use daily..

Ok you are right. Mostly. Still I have two dislikes with Samsung alarm.
1) only vibrates when phone is in silent mode. Found no option do disable this.
2) no option to skip the next alarm in a series. Miui asked to disable just the next alarm, when you turned off a alarm series like a weekly alarm.

I use DND on a schedule overnight and the Samsung app still plays sound if you set it up to, I would assume silent mode should have a similar option, but generally if you set a device to silent it is because you don't want the device to make any noise at all, it is basically a quick way to silence everything, so using DND is a better option.
as an alternative the google app is the best I've found as a simple alternative, more so now they have added google assistant to it so I can have it do stuff like bring the lights up with the alarm. also allows the phone to perform other tasks on alarm, it's the feature most missing from the stock Samsung clock.
Well this is the first time I noticed this behaviour. All other alarm apps play sound during silent mode.

I just need a quick clarification whether a certain behaviour is indeed as expected or not.
For starters whether screen is on or off when I get a message from Viber or the standard messaging app etc I will get the edge lighting glow and preview thing up top...
I've installed the app to be able to activate it for all my apps. However for example with FB messenger or a game that I have, the typical edge lighting behaviour only appears when the screen is off. If the screen is on I just get the standard notification sound and the notification is just found in the drop down notification bar. No edge lighting or anything. Is this normal? Is there a way to make them also exhibit this behaviour when screen is on as well?

It's already set there on always. Like I said with viber and the standard messaging app it is ALWAYS working normally, whether the screen is on or off... but with CERTAIN apps through the 3rd party app it only works when the screen is off.
can you check if you have smart popup

It's disabled
I don't know if will work in your situation but I too have struggled with getting edgelighting to work... The problem was solved when I went to developer settings and set the animations up to 0,5 instead of off, which I had chosen to get a faster phone...
