Friends, my device after upgrading to Oreo, Android 8.0.0, the device can not find more network, it recognizes the chip, but the network does not go up, when I try to connect give the following error "disable the airplane mode to make a call "
Note: I already checked the IMEI, it is 100%, IMEI appears normally.
What do I do ?

When You boot into fastboot what does your baseband say? If it says not found, then you've found your culprit.
Let me know what you find out.

emmmm。. You can try to install other rom to see, including I can give you her bbs forum, Google Chrome has a translation, maybe you can understand. She generally uses qq to communicate with people (in addition, the s version is called foreign garbage in China, because baseband and mobile wireless devices are not the best)

How to stop OTA updates (on a rooted TWN H815)?

I have a Taiwanese H815 which I have rooted using the injection method. I frequently get a software update notification, but the update always fails because the phone is rooted. In the Software Update screen I have unchecked "Check automatically" and "Auto-install updates", but this doesn't stop me getting a software update notification every day or so.
How can I stop these software update notifications?

Well, why don't you factory reset phone, allow all OTAs and then root and so on. You can root both LL/MM now

Sry, not factory reset, use LGUP and upgrade option. Search the forum for LGUP or tell me and I'll explain you step by step. Cheers
The factory reset wouldn't remove root, so the OTA would still fail. It's a Taiwan model and I've been told it's not possible to get MM and root on it.

I've looked at the LGUP thread and it seems to require installation of TWRP. I don't think this is possible on the Taiwan model as the bootloader can't currently be unlocked. Is that right?

Thanks. I'm not actually interested in doing the updates (unless I could actually upgrade to MM and root it, which I've been told is impossible for the TWN model). I just want to suppress the daily system update notifications.
Thanks for the link in your PM. I've tried the "Disable Service" app mentioned in the thread, and it indicated that the SystemUpdateService (in Google Services Framework) was already disabled on my phone- maybe because I followed the instructions earlier in this thread? I have no idea why I'm still getting a daily system update notification. It's annoying because I can't just swipe it away like a normal notification - I have to go into the System Update screen, select the update option then abort it (every day!)

Maybe you can go to settings-apps-find something like "system update" and deslect show notifications. On Sony/HTC ROMs they have this option.

Moto Z Play not upgrading to Nougat. Help.

I received the notification to upgrade to 7.0 this morning and as I was downloading I was notified I did not have enough space. After making space on my phone the notification does no show nor do I get the suggestions in the "System Updates". Whenever I try to update it tells me "Your device's software is up to date." even though it is still running 6.0. What do I do, I've tried a hard reset.

P2 isn't the device meant for IMEI experiments, didn't you look over the forum before as a warning?
Don't mess with any partition except system boot & recovery... unless it is thoroughly proved here in the forum to play.
You should be able to restore it by using a QCN backup. People have done it successfully in the past by downgrading to MM, restoring a working file and then updating to Nougat. I don't know if they got everything (2G, 3G and 4G) fully working though.
IMEI should never be touched unless you do not have a signal.

Please can anyone describe right way to change an IMEI on this phone?
I tried to downgrading to 6 version android and in two cases I changed IMEI correctly (by restoring backup from .qcn by QPST), but I can't remember all steps thich I did for this
Also, if I flash 7 android official lenovo room, I get "IMEI change error, it will restore after reboot" and after reboot I got my old original IMEI (I not need this because I tried to make wifi tenthering)
I tried to erase modemist 1,2 and fsg before I flashing .qcn backup by fastboot (fastboot erase fsg, etc....) and by adb ( dd if=/dev/zero) but my phone get bootloop after reboot.... I cant flash qcn backup before reboot
I suppose, I need flash custom room after changing IMEI on 6th android, but I forget how to do it again... I downgrading by flash fastboot variuos versions (032, 048, 066) but IMEI actually not loses, even I don't see him then write *#06# in a dialer
Does anyone changed IMEI in this phone?

Hello
I'm having an issue where the network icon in the statusbar is changing every few seconds. from completely empty bars to almost full. never all the way full. And this is with 4g.
I tried switching to 3g (same problem) and 2g and with 2g I get full signal but realy that's not an option, too slow internet etc..
Thankyou in advance.

Mr3p thanks for the quick response and this agrees with mostly everything I found on line. What's causing my confusion is I have a toggle in Settings/systems/developers options: enable OEM unlock. I can use adb to boot into fastboot without any trouble but the only patched image (patched_boot_10b.img) i have is for LM-710EM ver V10b. I want to make sure it is compatible with 710ulm. my full version number V10b-LAO-COM, Build# OPR1.170623.032. I would appreciate any input you have on this.
thanks

cheeze.keyk is correct that the G7ULM can be remote unlocked by loading a V35 engineering bootloader in place of your current bootloader. If you are comfortable having someone remotely access your phone via PC then it can be done, see link he referenced. My comments were regarding unlocking via normal LG unlocking process.
I'd have to look up that version number but doesn't match up with G7ULM. Can you do a screen shot where you are seeing it in your phone?

Unless I missed something, that's the first you've mentioned that your phone is Sprint model. It may be out there somewhere or you may have better luck searching however I looked for Sprint .kdz a couple of weeks ago but couldn't find one. You haven't mentioned your wireless provider so it's hard to make a recommendation but if you can't locate Sprint model firmware, I would flash the phone with the latest G710ULM firmware as that's the carrier unlocked version and should have the greatest compatibility. I vaguely recall reading someone taking a phone like yours back to a Sprint store where they were able to flash the phone back to Sprint firmware so you might consider trying that also.

@mr3p you're correct I just learned it was sprint model when I went to lg's site to download the firmware to revert it back as you suggested with lgup. It states that sprint, and all the major USA carrier's, can't be flashed. I Will give the 710ULM firm ware a try. I'll let you know how that goes. BTW thank you again for your help, Zb

@MrP3 thank you for your input, after soft bricking the phone I found the correct DLL for LGUP and was able to upgrade to ver lg710ulm2g. this version still comes with the bootloader unlock option in the developer menu> i'll continue to research/play with it to see if root is possible.

I am confused. If your phone is Sprint IMEI do you mean that it was a Sprint G7 loaded with ULM software? If your phone is Sprint model are you saying that ULM firmware is the only requirement to achieve root?

I had the J version 9G710ULM10j_00_NAO_US_OP_0219.kdz) but that is what bricked me, the only update that took was [GFI]G710ULM10g_00_NAO_US_OP_0913. I am making the assumption that the same 'LGUP Common DLL' should work regardless kdz file I use. I just can't seem to find a newer firmware file that doesn't stop after 11%.

Did the failed firmware load occur with the windows app or command line as suggested?
