Hi,
I dropped my HTC 10 and smashed the glass top layer. The digitiser and lcd screen are still perfect.
I want to try replace the glass myself but I am wondering if I can buy just the glass, the glass and digitiser, or if I have to buy the glass, digitiser and lcd screen in one enclosure.
I looked on ebay and found a screen and digitiser enclosure and messaged the seller asking if it included the glass. He said no.
Can someone point me in the direction of the part(s) I need, please? Whether it's the glass and digitiser, or the full enclosure.
Thanks.

i found this glass replacment
how can i raplce my glass (the digitaizer works so is lcd)
the only thing i found about the galaxy nexus is that you have to replace the glass, the digitaiser and the lcd together (180 dollars)
so is it just a scam?

I wouldnt buy that. Its coming from China, it isnt an official spare part, probably wont even fit. The phone probably wasnt even designed to have only the outer screen replaced without the digitizer and LCD being replaced too.
Check out this post on the display and glass replacement. Didnt try the glass replacement, but could give you some insight.

Hello,
I dropped my One X the other day and the screen cracked in several places. I ordered an LCD and a new glass for the phone, but all the tutorials seem to stop once the phone gets taken apart. When I get the LCD, do I just put adhesive on the glass, stick it on, and put it back together? Or is there a different procedure I need to do?
Thanks.
LCD and glass should be bonded together, i.e., one unit, already.
When I ordered the LCD off Amazon, it didnt say that it came with glass. It would be great if it did though. If not, I still have an extra glass front. Would small drops of Gorilla Glue be strong enough to keep it adhered to the LCD panel?
I was attempting to replace the glass on an s3 and in the process separated the very thin tinted glass sheet that sits on top of the lcd. It has a flex cable that wraps around the LCD and plugs into a port on the backside. The LCD somehow remained unscathed and still dimly lights up but I want to replace that film so it looks right. I havent, for the life of me, been able to find this part.
Does anyone have an idea what it is or where I can find it? Im guessing it is the actual digitizer, or maybe some kind of polarizing film??
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks guys and gals,
Jesse
Can't replace it. If you did not purchase the glass and digitizer all together. You have that glue to lay the glass down and that's it. But it will never look right and forget trying to see the screen out in daylight. The right way is to replace it all, once you separate the glass from digitizer it won't be ever be the same.

I'm replacing the glass on a Sprint Samsung Galaxy Nexus. I noticed the replacement glass I purchased has no sticky side so I was wondering what was the proper method of attaching the glass for this model. I have some of that double sided sticky tape about 3mm wide that is left over from glass repair kit for the Samsung S3. Presumably, this would go around the perimeter while the clear part of the glass would not be bonded.
Or I could also buy some UV LOCA adhesive for cell phones and glue the entire surface of the digitizer.
..and perhaps cure the adhesive by putting the phone in one of the tanning beds at my gym.
Edit: Looks like their is a third option for attachment. At least on seller on ebay is selling replacement glass with "Adhesive Top Screen Lens" for the Galaxy Nexus. I also noticed some sellers that sold adhesive pads for the digitizer - but it's unclear how this would work since the pads are large enough to cover the screen and appear to be opaque.
Recently met with an accident and my phone's touchscreen has broke(shattered).... but everything seems to be working fine! Only the glass has shattered!
So thought the digitizer has broke and let me change the digitizer by myself and was surfing to buy that digitizer! then only got to know that they dont sell digitizers alone for LG(but HTC does!).
Was seeing aliexpress and got to know about this (Touch Screen Outer Glass) I've enclosed the screenshot of this product.
So can you please suggest whether i should replace digitizer or this outer glass?!
I thought in many cases the touchscreen digitizer is bonded to the LCD.
It might be difficult to remove the touchscreen from the LCD to install your new touchscreen.
