I read that M8 camera isnt so bad but what I found that M9 camera do sharper pic on distance.
20-25m from M9 I can read street name but with M8 no. I tried 4x Htc M8s (diferent roms) and 2 of M9s all the same.
Any fix?

Press Release:
HTC is debuting a new “Eye experience,” which is a brand new camera software suite. The new camera software has an auto selfie feature, which automatically takes the photo once the phone has been held steady for a couple seconds, and voice commands including “Say Cheese” and “Action” will snap a photo or start recording video automatically.

Will it come to the M8?
We can already do the front and rear cameras at the same time now. I'd like the voice commands.

Thanks everyone. Since I'm waiting till my warranty runs out to s-off and root I guess I'll just have to wait for the next OTA to get it. No big deal just saw the presser's yesterday about the new HTC Eye phone and the "Eye Experience" software and thought I'd asked here about it.

Hey every one
since HTC One M8 has 2 cameras, is it possible to shoot or take 3D Pictures or Videos ?
if it is not available, is there an app can do that to take the advantage of the tow cameras?
I have HTC one m8x and after updating to 5.0.1 I noticed that my colors are less darker and vivid when it was on kk i compared it to my friend m8 i noticed the difference anyone else got this ?
up
The most useful camera trick for me was being able to refocus pictures after taking them.
And the M9 does not support that. I do see that the picture quality is better than the M8. But I use this feature so much along with the other features made possible because of the DUO Camera. No M9 for me!! (Unless something changes)
Anyone else disappointed with the M9 (it feels like a... M7.5, if you already have the M8 ) for whatever reason ?
There is an app 4 that
Im disappointed with the m9 as well
You can download the Bokeh camera... Open the camera app.. click on the Camera mode button (4 round circles in the bottom left of the screen, Click the big + sign... D/L'd the Bokeh camera.
Ive had this M9 now for 2 days, the first m9 I had went back for overheating, even after the 340MB update.. it didnt help the overheating
Coming from an M8 I was aware that the M9 is an incremental update, not a new flagship, but I love the audio and the awesome 4 UltraPixel Cam, so why the hell did HTC give into the UltraPixel Bashing and join the wagon train of MegaPixels, Why didnt HTC develop a 6 or even an 8 Ultrapixel camera. As a result of this cowardice theyve f++ked the camera up big time.
I followed the guide given here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=59821245&postcount=274
As well as experimented and tried and tested it, to no avail.. and as a result Im stuck with a device worse than what they released last year;
A 20MPx image I took, looks worse a 5Mpx from the HTC desire, pure mush on the details, yet an 8Mpx can Rarely look stunning (Sorry Ive tried but cant upload any pics)
If anyone can give me a reason to keep the M9, please convince me, or I may send it to eBay.
How about anyone else
I would give you my M8 for your M9

Hi,
I've signed up to a new phone contract with a HTC One M8 Gold colour as the handset.
However, I was sent the HTC M8s instead.
I call my provider and they said they will replace the M8s with the M8.
But I've had a look at some reviews online and I'm not sure which is better, the M8 or the M8s?
The M8s had a octa-core chip but at a slower speed and the cpu is 64 bit. The M8 is quad-core 32 bit but the speed is faster.
Battery capacity is a bit better on the M8s but no one seems to be sure if these "advantages" in spec work out to better performance on the M8s in real life.
Also, the M8s is priced at a mid-range phone whereas the M8 is still priced as the flagship price range.
So could anyone offer me some advice on which one to keep, the M8 or the newer M8s???
Thanks,
Shuja
Keep the M8 - it's better
It's an older flagship, so it has better support here
Also s615 is worse than s801

Thanks. I'm leaning towards the M8 so your comment just backs that up.
Anyone think the M8s is worth keeping ahead of the M8? Let me know your views please.

Shuja
