[A50] How is your screen uniformity with white/grey backgrounds? - Samsung Galaxy A50 Questions & Answers

Browsing/reading forums/pages with white/grey backgrounds i notice some mild pink clouding in particular area's of the screen.
Are a lot of A50 screens affected by this or do you have a perfect display?

Thankfully I haven't noticed anything off about the screen so far. Blacks are good as expected of amoled screens and theres no discoloration on the whites or any hues. How long have you had your phone for and did you check if the blue light filter is enabled on your phone? I know the blue light filter makes the screen have some reddish pinkish tone.

Send the first A50 back, couldn't live with the uneven pink hue. Received a new one today which is flawless! Very happy with a win in the amoled lottery.

[Q] Galaxy Nexus white's look faded...Anybody else?

I Just bought a Galaxy Nexus yesterday and like the phone, the only problem i have is that whenever i am on a website with a white background at full brightness... The whites on the phone look washed out kinda with a grey or green hue to it, this only happens when I'm looking at a white background... I tried to see if there was any additional brightness settings for the web browser and there is not.
Anybody else experience this?
Any help or feedback would be great.
Thank You!
Yes. This phone can't produce true white but can produce true black. If you tilt the phone, everything turns green. Pentile sucks, but I love the true black.
I also have a Rezound and the two displays are compete polar opposites. The Rezound definately can't display true black because its backlit, but the screen is so much brighter and white is like non-yellow snow. With both screens side by side, the rezound is the clear winner when not displaying a lot of black. But the GN looks like whats on the screen is floating in mid air when in a dark room. The GN also looks much greener and I don't believe it displays many colors accurately. With both phones on full bright, the Rezound seems twice as bright.

Note 7 AMOLED Screen Green Tint

First time user of AMOLED screen and I can't help but notice a significant green hue shift when viewing the screen at an angle. Is this normal with AMOLED displays?
I'm coming from using an IPS screen and I've heard so many praises for the screen on the note 7 that it seemed strange that the viewing angles had this huge hue shift. Reds become orange even at a 15° angle
Looks like this is more common issue among Samsung phones as of lately.
Just switched to a NOTE 4 from a G3 with a perfect screen.
This screen tint issue even on the slightest angle is kind of annoying.
Also saw my wife's friend's S7 a few min ago...she has the same problem with her phone as well.
I guess this is considered normal.
How does my G3 have better viewing angles vs the Note 4?!
That was the first impression of this phone

Depending on the screen they use, it could have a green or pink hue when looking at it at an angle. This has been the case with Samsung since s3. I used to be that picky and would return it just to end up with either the same or one with pinkish hue. After note 4 I just accepted it.

I see, I guess I'll have to just get used to it. It's even more drastic when I use the blue light filter, my whites change from 3000k to 5000k at the slightest of angles LOL
I'm surprised that people don't mention it in their reviews if it's a prevalent thing with AMOLED displays.
Its a common 'issue' amongs OLED panels but you can compare maybe 3-5 of the same phone and have a different hue at the same angle.

Yellow glow from screen with black

When displaying a pure black image on the p2 the bottom left 1/3 of screen has a slight yellow glow to it when you look at it in a dark room. The same area looks more warmer than the rest when displaying grey. Anyone else noticed this? From searching around I've seen complaints about similar issues on some other amoled screens on nokia, oneplus, lg etc. So much for amoled showing pure black, if you want that it looks like you have to get a samsung phone. It's still better when compared to IPS but the uneven tone can be annoying.

I noticed this in dark environment, this is mostly visible when you pull down notification bar, I don't know the reason but noticed this - not a major issue.

Screen quality and uniformity

Hello,
Are you satisfied with the screen quality? Mine has a yellowish tint at the bottom.
I don't see a yellow tint
You mean like this?

If yes, then yeah I have that too :/
Not too thrilled about that
I have something similar bleed, but it's only visible a very low brightness, like very near to 1%, I'm using display tester app to see it, with auto brightness in dark room isn't obvious.
Regarding a yellow tint, I think that my bottom half display as a slight warm white, it depends of brightness and the room light, angle that I watch the screen.

Confirmed: the dreaded green tint display issue on both TAB S7&S7+

BUMP
What I'm noticing when watching videos is that blacks look grey. I don't see green though.
Beggining to love my ? display on the S7 more and more.
Perfect size and performance is really good next to my S20 Ultra (Exynos).

if you're using the S7 vs the S7+ then it's not surprising, LCDs do not produce blacks like AMOLED.
Superb screen display on Tab S7 using since 2 Months. i have no issues of colors nor any degradation of screen. Being an Amoled fan . I love the perfect blacks on my Old Tab S5E although more.
lot of negative Paid marketing is done against top companies before launch of a flagship device by Rival companies
So I noticed this same green tint issue. Great on the left side and it fades into a greenish tint. I assumed it was the screen but I was playing around with it and it doesn't seem to consistently appear. If I load up the play store, at lower brightness, I see it. When I open the settings menu for the tablet, same grey background and the greenish tint isn't there. The brightness hasn't changed either. I started looking at other grey screens and I see the same thing. I'm not saying it's not an issue but I would think it would be fairly consistent across grey backgrounds at the same brightness. I see it in dark mode in Google apps but not is Samsung apps or even Nova launcher settings. Weird..
I greys are a slightly different shade but the same brightness. The playstore you can see on the right side. Nova settings and one of my live wallpapers settings are both grey and no greenish tint.
Anyone else notice this?

Also, enabling the "blue light filter" severely degrades the black level. I understand it's useful for those who experience eyestrain reading white text on a perfectly black background, hopefully either Samsung or a community member can change it for those who prefer the best blacks while still attenuating the blue colors.
Hello!
I got mine a few days ago and first thing I noticed was a color tint on grey goint to green or yellow, especially on the lower brightness levels. Especially compared with my older Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) also black ist something like anthracite, but not deep black.
So I downloaded a display test app from Playstore Display Tester, and guess what! Black is really dark black, white is bright white and grey is looking much better with almost no color tint.
Could soomebody else check it?
Btw.: Firmware is T870XXU2BUD2 (Android 11).
