Apologies if this have been asked. I kept getting a prompt on the display several times a minute when my Sony WH-1000XM3 Bluetooth headphone is connected to the Tab S4 SM-T835. Have tried muting notifications via Smart Things, Sony headphone app to no avail. Any suggestions is appreciated.

Just got myself a Galaxy Note 8.0 (WIFI) for about 2 weeks. Everything was working well until I need to watch a movie on the plane. Then realized I got no audio on the earphones. The earphones used is not the ones that comes with the Note 8.0. It was the ones from my Note 2.
But I don't think the problem lies with the earphones. Anyway I tried again with an external speakers. Again no audio.
The audio out on the built-in speakers are good.
I am using the default video player. And Android 4.2.2. Upgraded when I first booted up the machine.
Tried going through the system sound settings and software (video player) settings. But nothing works.
And when I plug in the earphones or speakers, the message "something" connected is shown in the status bar.
So is it because the input jack is not working or something else? Hate to bring it back to the service center cos it will be one month later when I get back to Singapore. Now I am in China.
Any help will be much appreciated.
I have an AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note 8 LTE. I connect to it using a bluetooth headset (listen to tunes while on my commute) and my FitBit One.
The FitBit One doesn't exactly "pair"...I don't know how it works really...I think it's that new Bluetooth LE thing...
My Bluetooth headset does pair and it works great...in fact both devices work fine.
Except when I don't use my headset for several hours. When I get to work, I disconnect my bluetooth headset and put it on the charger. When I go home, if I attempt a bluetooth connection with the headset, the bluetooth icon on the Note will show blue in color and say "connecting" but it will never connect. The headset makes a "connected" noise and I can manipulate the media player using the headset buttons (next/previous song, raise and lower volume, pause music) but the audio will be coming from the Note's speakers.
Now here is where it gets weird...I can stop the bluetooth service just fine. But if I turn it back on again, the Note will reboot. In fact, if I do anything to any of the radios...WiFi, LTE Bluetooth, the note will reboot.
Has anybody experienced something similar with this device..or perhaps another Samsung device?
Thanks

Can't say I've experienced it. Are you rooted/have a custom ROM? If not, have you tried a factory reset?
I just got my Degauss Labs 'Dual Driver' android headphones for my Z1 Compact. Problem is, the volume controls don't work. Volume up seems to work semi-well, but a volume down click results in a long consecutive press. I read some people have a similar problem with the Sony STH30-headphones, but I haven't come across a solution.
So far, I've:
Tried the headphones in a Galaxy Note and Sony Z3, and the headset and controls work fine.
Uninstalled Smartkey, emptied the data from and disabled Smart Connect, restarted, installed Degauss software, and tested - no dice.
Completely re-installed the phone with Sony Companion - no dice
Checked the 3,5 mm port for obstructions - nothing.
Power off, blasted port with precision cleaner, let dry, test - no dice.
Unfortunately I haven't found a co-worker with a 3 button headset for an Android phone, so I haven't been able to test that out. I also don't have a similar headset at home.
I would greatly appreciate any insight on what the problem might be? Thank you for your time.

Update:
Tried the headset in another Z1 Compact, and it works fine. Decided it's a hardware problem, since full reinstall didn't help.
Sent it to repairs, where they replaced the audio jack and side keyflex. Got it back, and the problem still persists. I guessed it is some deeper rooted issue, so I sent it back. Repairs gave up, and decided to pull the "didn't receive customers headset, cannot replicate"-card, so they didn't do anything to it. Will have to take it up with them again.
Hello,
I recently bought a new Nexus 5x and got a strange problem.
I tried this with three different headphones:
1. If I plug in any headphones while the screen is locked, a notification for voice commands pops up and the internal microphone is deactivated.
2. If I plug them in while the screen is unlocked, on one of the three headphones the google now voice search pops up sometimes and microphone is deactivated, too.
Does anything like one of this two errors occur on someone else's device too?
Is this maybe a hardware fault? A software bug? Both?
I have here 2 pair of multipoint earbuds (jabra 85T and Beoplay Ex).
Both earbuds are paired to a windows laptop and android phone (Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra) and both connected at the same time to earbuds.
When i play music from spotify/youtube on my windows laptop, and press the power button on my phone the music/video stops on the windows laptop. (a real pause).
It seems there is connection-pull or sound-pull that stops the music/video.
I have disabled all sound alerts which are available all on the phone, but still i have the same problem.
Anybody recognize this? maybe know a full solution or can reproduce this to find the problem?
Would be great helpfull!
Thanks!
