I've had my Moto360 for seven days... pedometer worked great the first two days, then Zero. The last five days show 0 Steps, but the first two show over 2,000... I've restarted the watch and phone. Heart monitor works fine. Bad sensor maybe?
Please help!
Did you turn off save fitness data?
That was it. Sorry for being a dumbass... I didn't knowingly turn off save fitness data, but sure enough it was turned off. Anyway, thank you the reply!
How do you turn it back on
moto 360 wont register any steps.
I have the same issue. for the first week, the pedometer on the moto360 worked, and showed my complete step history on the watch. Then something happened, either when I installed google fit on the phone (which I have now removed), or I opened s-health on the phone (samsung galaxy note 4) which was a huge mistake. Prior to this, I never used any fitness apps on the phone, and it did not register my steps.
Now only the phone registers steps (badly, about 2x the actual steps), and the watch registers no steps, but shows steps from the phone. E.g. If I take 100 steps wearing only the watch, 0 steps are registered and displayed. If I take 100 steps holding the phone (not wearing the watch), it registers around 200 steps. If I take 100 steps both holding the phone and wearing the watch, it registers 200 steps.
There does not seem to be any way to disable step registering on the phone, and enable it on the watch - I guess this is an incompatibility between moto fit, samsung s-health, and google fit - all 3 apps are not compatible, and there is no way to uninstall or disable any of them. In this regard the iwatch has a clear advantage (for rich people).
The other issue is that I don't want location services on on my phone - I value my battery. If I disable all location services, then no steps are registered, neither if I walk with the phone nor watch.
Install moto body. Without it , fit won't register steps. I almost sent my watch in for repair thinking it was broken. Fixed my issue.

*Hello everyone! I really can't wait to get my hands on a giulery Huawei Watch but in my country it will be availeble only from November. So i start looking on ebay and Amazon. I found one review that realy concerns me on Amazone. And i quote:
" The Huawei Watch has a major software issue. When the watchface goes in to ambient mode, it often freezes, and the only way to unfreeze it is through a reboot. This happens to me at least 5-6 times each day. When a freeze occurs, the watch hands are stuck on the hour and minute that were showing at the time of the freeze. You can press the crown and the screen brightens, but it doesn't leave ambient mode, and it doesn't return to the correct time. I did a factory reset on mine after one day of use to see if this might fix the problem, but nothing changed. I called Huawei tech support, and this is a known issue. They told me a software fix would be rolled out "soon". I thought I could tolerate it until they got it fixed, but this is driving me crazy. Last night, it locked up three times inside of a 30 minute period. I find myself clicking the crown frequently thorughout the day, not because I want to know what time it is or because I want to use an advanced feature, but only to see if the watch has frozen again. What good is a watch that won't tell time?"
So, please advice if enyone has this issue. Thanks and sorry for my english.

I have had the Huawei watch for over a week and have never experienced this at all!
Everything works perfect, and I have not had any issues whatsoever.
Here the same... more than a week using the Huawei Watch and I did not encountered any problem.
I haven't had this problem either. But, I did have to return mine because of another problem. I would not buy through Ebay, stick with an retailer like BB or Amazon so you can exchange it easily if there is a problem.

No issues like that here, isolated incident
No such issues here after 5 days of use here as well.
Only 'issue' experienced: Lost connection to phone once and wouldn't reconnect. rebooted both and worked instantly.
Here's the deal.

If you use certain watchmaker watch faces, since they currently don't support this watch, I have noticed that effect on certain watch faces in ambient mode. Never with the one's the watch shipped with. I do not know if any other watches have round amoled displays so you have to guess which one to use with the watch, I chose first Moto and then a LG square face, both would freeze in ambient mode, so for the meantime I have stopped using watchmaker until the developer updates it to support our watch. To bad, I paid for the full version of the app, before I discovered this. But with any of the ones that come with the watch, never will happen.

I have absolutely same issue. Just bought Huawei Watch and immediately first day it froze in ambient mode. I did restart/factory reset, nothing helped, it happens every day, sometimes every hour. The problem is the ambient mode itself. I figured out how you can unfreeze it if this occurs even without restart: on your phone go in Android wear app and in Settings turn on/off function Always-on-screen. After this it works again, but this does not fix that issue that it freezes and the time freezes as well, thus the watch is useless at this moment. Now I use watch without ambient mode and it seems the watch works pretty fine. Please let me know, once someone knows the root case and how to permanently fix this.
There are a few other people complaining about this too in the various forums. I returned my first watch because of this.
In the meantime i bought the watch from Usa. I install many apps and i use watchmaker premium with a superb watch face that i modified and name it huawei watch 2015. I cant say if is freezing in dim mode but i have some ocasional problem with certan app 3 part. Android wear is a great system for notification but is crushing a lot. I can use my watch at full capacity but i have to restart it like 2 time a day to function well. I like this weatch to much to mind that. Install task manager for wear and restart the watch one time and you shoud be fine.

My huawei watch reboot itself 2-3 times every hour when using WatchMaker Premium Watch Face and the wake gesture works only 1 time when activated
The OP post fault was locking up (had this issue too on my first watch)
This post is not related but I would say uninstall WatchMaker Premium Watch Face, use a stock watch face.
If the problem disappears contact the WatchMaker vendor.
A faulty application has nothing to do with the watch.
Only had 1 reboot in a month. I consider that more than acceptable!
Good luck to you!
Guys who have sideloaded this, can you please tell what seems changed and what's new so that we can jot down a Changelog here?

thats what she said...
Is there any keyboard for writing message now?
Send from my Nexus 6p AOSP build with f2fs support.. feel the speed
No keyboard. Device slightly laggy, bluetooth connection drops at times. After several restarts of watch and HP, slightly smooth.
Even with always on display set to on, the watch face will periodically go black. Apparently because of doze... I would prefer to exclude the ambient watch face from this feature as I do not believe it is unreasonable to expect my watch face to be always on when it is set to always on.
If tilt to wake is not active you will need to touch the screen or press the crown button to bring the watch face back. Because of this I have now enabled tilt to wake so I only need to tilt my wrist to bring the watch face back when this occurs.

Doesn't doze only activate if your watch is stationary? How often do you keep your wrist in the same position? or am I wrong? I want to keep showing off my watch faces! Haha

I believe it may have to do with the orientation of the watch. I read a related discussion on Reddit which suggested the screen off being activated by some period of time where the watch face is not facing the wearer.
This happened to me 4 times yesterday with tilt to wake off after the update. Each time I noticed it I had not been inactive although I was not continuously looking at my watch. The most disturbing incident was when I was doing dishes and cleaning up around the house after which I sat down to watch TV and noticed my watch face was off.
I finally turned the tilt to wake option back on and I have not noticed this since. When I wore my Gear Live as my daily watch I always left tilt to wake on but since getting the Huawei Watch I feel as though it is a bit more sensitive and tilt to wake activates more frequently. This was having a negative impact on battery life for me which is why I turned it off.
I will update if I notice it going off with tilt to wake active.
the time it takes to wake the screen is still too long for my taste. I raise my wrist so the watch faces me but it still takes over 1 second until it wakes up.

Yeah.. I usually keep gestures off. Waste of battery to keep it on... But I guess I have to leave it on.. Today is my first day with 1.4 so let's see how it goes..
The speaker and phone works surprisingly well. Have any of you discovered any apps that use the audio? For example, glide is pretty cool because you can watch video messages on your watch and respond with an audio message. I am disappointed that Google now doesn't have the audio voice response.
The speaker is actually better than I expected. There is a youtube app in the play store that lets you play videos on the watch. I messed about with it last night, but the connection is pretty slow over bluetooth. The sound was surprisingly good however.

No way....lmao that's the reason speaker should work (along with calls ) you telling me you driving and ask Google a question only for it to reply back with no voice input? Can anyone else confirm this stupid nonsense ?

Yeah I expected Google now to use the speaker. It's stupid that it doesn't.
Google maps isn't showing a map for me anymore. Anyone else?
The music app on watch doesn't work anyone has the same problem ?
And how can you send songs to the watch?
You are now able to manually adjust date/time and time zone. This was actually the most important new feature for me and something that should have been available from the start. Android Wear is getting better but it still has a long way to go.
It has taken me almost a week to figure out how to get and make calls on it.
I had to be Johnny on the spot, as many times I only get 2 rings, and mine goes to voice mail. I see caller ID names or numbers only about 25% of the time. The watch seems to have about a 1-2 second lag, where it rings, but doesn't tell you WHO is calling, or a number.
I received a call today on it, driving down the road. Swiped right, answered it, and was able to talk to my son on it, for a bit. My impressions, you can hear ok, if the windows are rolled up, and your stereo is off/turned down. I would like it 2x as loud, maybe software will eventually get it there, but if there is much ambient noise, it's tough for me to hear.
That being said I have old, grew up on a farm ears, road a tractor, shot guns, etc, so my hearing is probably a 3/10 compared to you nubes. You may find the volume is fine, maybe even loud.
I had to download and install a LOUD ringtone, just so I could hear it ring. It was a longer than normal process involving Wear Media. I had to download wear media 1.4.6 from the developer to work with a Nexus 6P. It works, but didn't like my ring tone size of 1.2mb, it choked on that, but it would load 100-200KB no problems if they were mp3
I used it walking around the park last night. Same issue, very much traffic, and the wind blowing, and it's too hard for me to hear it. If you got off the main traffic, and out of the wind, it was just "loud enough".
I'm curious what your user experience has been, and whether you have stumbled across anything interesting about how your use has been?
I'm experiencing problems with counting steps on my SWR50:
- When I walk very fast it seems to miss steps. The other day I walked 10 km and it had recorded about 6000 steps while it should be well over 10k steps.
- Today I was walking over 4 km and near the end of the walk the steps shown was over 5000. But when I was back I noticed that the stepcount was on little over 2900. Sometime later it was on around 4300 although I had been sitting. This is on Classic Watchface. But if I look at the Bubbles watchface it shows 6.8k steps.
- When I look in Google Fit is says also around 4300 steps while Lifelog says 6200 steps.
Has anyone noticed the same? Is there a way to get a uniform reading?
And especially how can I make it record my steps properly when I walk fast?
I had similar issues but I eventually gave up. My primary use was for fitness tracking and it was just too inconsistent. I've put my smartwatch up for sale and bought a Fitbit blaze. The notifications are read only but I never really used voice commands and always had issues with gps so it felt like an easy trade off.
My SWR50 stopped recording steps at all in recent few weeks. I think it had to do with some Google S/W update that was pushed without any input on my part. (Gplay services framework or Google App or something)
I eventually got tired of it registering nothing, so I un-paired it and re-paired it with my phone. Shortly after that I noticed it had recorded a few steps. Yay!
The next day, it was back to nothing again.
It always shows up in Android Wear and it still alerts on phone notifications, just doesn't record steps any more.
I recently upgraded my HTC One M8 from CM13 to Lineage 14.1. I did a full wipe of the phone, installed the latest OpenGApps and reinstalled all my apps including the latest Android Wear app. I also wiped my Smartwatch 3 and reconnected it to my phone. Since the upgrade the stepcount from my watch isn't syncing to my phone (or online to fit.google.com). Other stuff syncs and all my apps are there as they were previously (Skype, Whatsapp, Hangouts, Maps, Music etc. Plus if I start a fit workout on my watch, this syncs fine and is displayed on my phone and online. It just seems to be steps, activity time and calories that don't get sync'd.
I have hard-reset the watch a couple of times, resync'd apps etc and the behaviour is the same. Currently my watch is displaying 729 steps and 641 calories. My phone (and online) however are showing 263 steps and 743 calories.
Any ideas?
Andy
EDIT: I have been playing around with resetting various things and it seems it is just one-way that isn't working - from the watch. So I managed to clear everything off on the watch and it then sync'd the steps recorded on the phone to the watch (311 steps). I then put the watch back on my wrist and now it says 327 steps on the watch, however the phone and online still says 311. I then took the watch off and walked about a bit with my phone in hand and the screen on and the steps increased to 399. Shortly after this appeared online and my watch updated to 415 steps. I then put the phone down and put the watch back on, walked about a bit and the steps increased on it to 450, however the phone and online still say 399.
So it appears to be just the steps (and calories) that aren't syncing from the watch to the phone, however its working from the phone to the watch.
hmm....

Just to let you know you're not the only one, I'm experiencing the exact same issue. I bought the SW3 to replace my FitBit charge HR, but still wanted my steps to sync to the fitbit app (my health insurance uses fitbit data for rewards but doesn't support Google Fit). Managed to find a third party solution, but the steps are always significantly lower than are recorded on the watch - so again, steps are not syncing from the watch to the google fit app/fitbit app, but ARE syncing the other way around :/
I un-paired my SW3 from my phone (HTC One M8 running the latest Lineage nightly) and the SW3 did a factory reset. On initial pairing and syncing I was left with the old Google Fit app on the watch - the one without the 'Fit Activity' option. I noticed however that the steps, distance and calorie information recorded on the SW3 sync'd with Google fit on my phone.
I went through the hoops trying to get the latest Android Wear Google Fit application loaded on the watch (v1.64.06-200) eventually having to sideload it via ADB. Its installed now however the steps, distance and calorie information are no longer sync'd so I guess this is a bug in either the wearable Fit .apk or the phone Fit .apk. Starting a Fit activity on the watch such as walking sync's OK so I am wondering whether this is a design feature?
