As of right now, I'd suggest the Huawei watch. Though, if I were you, I'd wait. A whole bunch of new Android wear watches are probably about to be released. Android wear 2.0 is about to come out with a whole bunch of new features, and a bunch of new watches should follow to support these new features.

I'm quite happy with my Sony Smartwatch 3:
- cheap (you can easily find it for ~100€ on Amazon
- I can easily get a full solid day off the battery
i'm using a samsung gear s3 frontier along with my OP3T. notification works well. i can answer calls but I cannot text on the watch (not that I want to). spotify controller works well, and I can read flipboard articles on the watch to pass time.
Huawei watch is pretty good, tho mic and voice commands seems to be worse than on the other watches. Maybe because mic is located underside of the watch, where the band connects. I have been using Android wear 2.0 beta for some time already, and really liking it, much smoother than old version. But Google is propably gonna announce new watches soon, Android wear 2.0 stable is coming in next month. If you find a really good deal for Huawei watch or others, then maybe buy now, but otherwise I would wait and see the new ones which are coming.
No love for the Asus Zenwatch 3 in here?

I've been using a Sony Smartwatch 3 ever since it was launched and wouldn't change it for anything else. I tried a Huawei Watch for a couple of days and it wasn't as comfortable. Furthermore, I use it as a GPS running watch and it pairs with any BT Smart HRM without any issue. Nice to go for a long run without a phone when you have GPS, MP3-player and HRM on your wrist.
I would recommend the Samsung Gear S3 ,or even the Gear S2 ,the software is superior to Android wear in my opinion .

I'm planning on getting a gear s3 frontier with my 3T. How is the compability? Any significant limitations compared to pairing it with a Samsung phone?
Anyone miss a call notification once and a while?
Ill notice Ill get a missed call on my watch and it never vibrated
Using Gear S3 Frontier and the only thing i might miss is google assistant unless sammy updates the gear s3 with their own rumoured assistant Bixby.
The rotating bezel, the battery life, and the simple OS are major wins.
and with samsung pay about to launch in India its a major win because of MST.
Yesterday, I posted a message in this board about a theory i had...

Top of the Page...
Now, here's some news for the Note fans...
Today a Video was released of two cases prepared for the two upcoming Samsung Phone Models which will be released soon..
and Guess what?
The bigger case has an "S-Pen" Opening...
Video: "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SzbccI2ykLA"
Just sayin!
PS: Here's the theory I posted yesterday:
Theory based on Internet Rumors:
Rumors:
- Samsung is working on a S-Pen for the S Series... (you guys remember this one right?)
- There will be 2 S8. One normal screen, QHD, and another 4k.
- S8 won't be revealed next month. (not a rumor anymore).
Theory:
Around April or May, Samsung will reveal both the S8 and the Note 8 at the same time. The rumor about the S8 Edge with an S pen is in fact the Note 8 itself. There won't be any "bigger version of the S series anymore like the edge. It will be flagship and the Note. Which makes sense when you think of it since Samsung will abandon the flat screen, they don't need to separate the "Edge" series anymore. Why not just have one single event, less confusion, and have 1 S phone and 1 Note.
So this year we will get a Note way sooner. Around May or June, same time as the S8. That's why they postponed the S8 presentation.
Correction, both cases have an "s-pen opening". The s seris don't come with s-pens, it is just not the s series. So why would those be s-pen openings?
This is not a new rumour by the way, it has been speculated it is that but many then thought it is not.
I DO wish your theory was true and I will be over the moon if it is, but I don't think so. I think we will have a Note8 in December.
It could be true if Samsung would launch a phone with foldable screen this year.

I don't understand why they just don't tell us their plans. At least a hint. The least they could do knowing many of us are waiting to upgrade. Honestly I don't think my phone will last long enough if they don't step up the pace with the Note8. And I don't think s8 will be worth the price compared to Huawei P10. If it is not a note, it may as well not be Samsung.
If they do somehow release them together then that for me is a no Brainer on the one I'd choose ?

There is no way Samsung would ever make things that easy or put themselves on the line for possible new unresolved bugs so soon. If you want a note eight you better have fixed your own note seven yourself like the boss you are and get ready to sit tight for August / September release of the note 8 if not later. Unless you want to jump ship or use inferior hardware.

I wouldn't consider anything smaller than my Note 5 5.7" the s7edge is good (I have that thru tmobile and will jump it to the next phone) but the screens too small and I'm not thrilled about the angle of the curved screen

Yep, the S8 Plus 6.2 should work for me just fine! :good:
Hi Friends since 1 week Im using my new Galaxy watch ..but i dont Like tizen os is that possible to Change the Firmware to wear OS Google??
No, no one has been able to turn the Galaxy watch into a dog. That's what it would be with Android Wear on it.
Since you only have been 1 week with it try to wait a bit to see if you start enjoying it.
If you don't like it you could return it and just buy a wearOS watch.
Then see how many bugs you can find, how it lags from time to time and how little the battery lasts.
Finally, wish you could get the galaxy watch back.
Hi,
I am on the fence on buying Galaxy Note 10 plus, as I keep reading articles about the all the new redesigned Galaxy S11 coming in just 5-6 months. Samsung Galaxy S 11 is also being named as Samsung's 'New Beginning'.
Since I am a iPhone X user, but I am ready to switch to android, mainly to Note 10 plus, because of it's gorgeous 6.8" display and S pen.
So, will Galaxy S11 get rid of the hole punch design and come with full screen display? Will it also have 90 hertz refresh rate display? Assuming it will have all these display upgrades, it will be further transferred to the Note 11.
Should I wait for another year for the Note 11 for better screen?
Really confused
Nobody knows what features S11 or the N11 will have, but they'll clearly be better. There will always be a better phone coming out down the pipe, the phone you want now will always be old news months from now. Nobody can tell you wtf makes sense or not, only you can answer that.

I advice you to fully know and understand the s pen and all it is capable of doing, you will love it, or simply not, more to it, anyone buying a note series device should do it just because the s pen, if for the slightest reason the s pen is not that all great for you, do not buy a note series device, get a S series one

I would certainly wait in your case unless your phone is just falling to pieces. From rumors I have read about they next galaxy may even have a camera that is 10xs more powerful than the current ones. If you buy now, in 5 months you will be wishing you could upgrade again. Also, fast charging graphene batteries seem to be just around the corner and could well debut on the next version of galaxy phones. IMO, its worth the wait. At the very least wait for deals during Thanksgiving weekend if you must buy current version of Note 10. In 3 months prices will be at least $200-$300 cheaper than current ones and you'll kick yourself for not having waited and seeing your phone's depreciation.

That is true...there will always be a new phone coming in few months time. That's when I think and get confused of investing 1000$ in it or wait for a better one!
Depends on if you are wanting a new phone NOW. New tech will always come out every 6 months. Waiting due to better tech comes out... That will make you never buy a phone. I personally ordered through Samsung, joined their upgrade program, so I'll get the Note11 and basically have no change in bill. So it's not big deal.
The s-pen is incredible. I love it. I'll never buy an S-series for that reason. The Note is always a more refined S-series anyway.

I like the S-pen and it's added functionality. I would like to use it and give it a try. But my main goal is the best and biggest screen.
My advice try out both the Note 10 and the SGS10 in stores. This will help you figure out, which phone is for you. As everybody I know who have a Note device never use the S-Pen at all.
If you don't need a s-pen then wait. The N10 will have an actual upgraded camera sensor.

The Note10+ pretty much unanimously has the best screen available right now, so I say go for it! You'll fall in love with the s-pen I bet.
Thanks for all your replies and suggestions. I think I will wait for Google pixel 4 XL, iPhone XI and Mate 30pro to launch. And then take a decision.
Wait til the s12
S14+ will be better than all of those

Lol, he can just wait forever, you know, the next model will ALWAYS be better
Did a search and didn't see anything other than a thread from 2018 that didn't seem to go anywhere. Also, if this is against forum rules...my bad!
To the point! I recently bought both the GWA2 and the Fossil Gen5 to test against each other and then return the one I least preferred. My problem is, I MUCH prefer the hardware and look of the GWA2 (slightly larger screen, more minimal look, better battery life, no crown/button that constantly activates when I bend my wrist, and with the upcoming ECG/EKG - more health tech). The problem is, I really dislike the Tizen OS and feel the WearOS integrates a lot better with my Pixel4. I realize this is completely subjective, but have to believe I'm not the only one to come to this conclusion.
I guess I have a few questions: Is it possible and if so, is there any appetite for this port? Obviously all the other concerns I have would be contingent on whether or not it could be done, but if so would it retain all or most of the device functionality as with Tizen and would the move to WearOS significantly change the battery life?
I'm not a developer of any kind and it's been years since I've even been interested in rooting/flashing any of my phones. Should I just return both of them and hope that Google will do something with Fitbit next year instead?! /s
Thanks in advance!
Just an opinion here but I've had both tizen OS and wear OS watches and I'll tell you right now the wear OS was a much better experience. Especially if your not pairing The tizen Watch with a Samsung phone. The second you connect that tizen watch to a non Samsung phone, about half of the capabilities of the watch no longer work correctly and some of the apps that come stock on the watch actually get removed upon connection. Messaging will not be seamless with the tizen watch. You will miss things. And Bixby is next to useless compared to Google Assistant. Also, if you look at the Samsung App Store the selection is pathetic compared to what is available for Wear OS. At Samsung you only find half finished apps that most of the time don't work. Not enough developers working on apps for Samsung watches because there a dead end. The comparison between the two stores is laughable. Samsung will never catch up. Go ahead and check it out for yourself search the Samsung store for almost anything and you'll find one or two choices available that probably don't work . search the the Google Play Store with the same term and you'll get hundreds of choices. After owning wear OS and switching to tizen I was so frustrated with all the problems I ended up giving it away. Not worth the space on my wrist lol
Sent from my LG-H932 using Tapatalk
Yeah, the Samsung app store is utterly useless. The few apps it does have are half baked at best. It's a real shame that there's no way to load WearOS on this watch, because it is MUCH nicer (IMO) than the Fossil Gen5 (and by extension any other WearOS watch). I really expected there to be a robust desire on the development front to get WearOS on this watch, because the overall design is great and practically screams for something other than Tizen.
I did keep it over the Fossil, which I ended up returning. There are simply too many warts with the hardware to make it an enjoyable experience, which is a shame because the software is so much more integrated when using it with a Pixel.
