I tried everything, all the faq's from samsung, all the instructions with much care, nothing. Either by bluetooth through phone or standalone via wifi. Watch IP is pingable but GWD cannot see it. No RSA Key message is received on the watch. Any other ideas what to try and how to fix this?

Yes, simply watch does not display the RSA Key accept question so GWD does not see it. I have no clue what do try anymore. I tried pretty much anything I could.

There is a help document regarding connecting to the watch but it isn't so easy to find - or helpful either. It's a link buried in the IDE. I haven't generated the key because I thought that wasn't necessary for copying to the watch - have you generated yours? Maybe that's the key (no pun intended)...

No, I have not. I am somehow inclined to say, that such a key is the problem. Documentation always mention when trying to connect to accept the RSA key. Can you give me a heads-up to what that help document is?

I got it working without a problem. Enable debugging, connect to the wifi and make sure you're connected. RESTART THE WATCH, then connect to the wifi get your ip, then use it with the designer and you'll get the rsa key just like you're accepting adb debugging for the first time.

I'm going to have to try this! I think the restart is instrumental. The only way I've been able to connect recently has been to open the Tizen software & connect there first. I'm not sure what changed and when but do know it started last year with my Gear S2 & continued with my Galaxy Watch on Mac with Mojave.
Thanks!

Well, thank you so much, but as I said, I tried everything numerous times, including what you say above, including restarting, making sure the wifi is connected, the IP is good and pingable, debugging is enabled., bluetooth off, bluetooth on... Whatever it crossed my mind. Everything. Watch simply does not ask for the RSA key and Galaxy Watch Designer is not connecting. Nothing works.
I get the feeling something else is wrong and cannot imagine what exactly.
Any other ideas on what to try?

OK, so I finally connected my watch to GWD...
Last night, my watch near my keyboard, is low battery. So I see the low battery warning and 3-4 second afterwards, RSA key fingerprint message. LOL. So rushed, accepted it and started GWD. I have abandoned the subject for a few days but out of the blue I see this, so I start again GWD, get again the RSA key message and it connects. As simple as that. I've done nothing else for days.

Does it seem to work without it being a low battery situation? What GWD app version are you using?

Yes, from that point it works just fine, it just seems that the message itself for accepting the RSA fingerprint key appeared in some odd condition, not sure if the low battery triggered it, but might be possible.

I am thinking about getting the One X but I do have a question first. I search the forums and read plenty of reviews to no avail. Does anyone know if the One X support the Bluetooth Message Access Profile(MAP). I would like the feature in my next phone to use with my Ford Sync system.
Me too. Though my Sensation does it pretty well. Never hurts to be sure...
It apparently does support it. I was able to see text messages on my BMW 550's iDrive screen earlier. During pairing, I got a MAP Access request.
However there appears to be some kind of bug. When you go to Advanced Options in Bluetooth Settings, the only thing you see if FTP Server. However briefly other options flash and then disappear. Once earlier the options 'stuck' but if you'd check them they wouldn't save.
Hopefully the forthcoming OTA fixes this. I was really hoping this phone would show contact pictures in iDrive. The Sensation supports this. I suspect something in Bluetooth needs to be enabled that is not. (I borrowed a Lumia 900 with WP7 and it did this -- quite cool.)
Can anybody else test to see if the Advanced Options menu does the same thing?
When you got the MAP Access Request, did you select the 'always allow' option too? If not go back through the pairing process again to fix this.

Still doesn't work, unfortunately. The options appear quickly and then disappear.
I cannot get Contact Pictures to work, nor E-mail. Text messages seem sporadic.
IT WORKS!
I just got the One X yesterday and it works perfectly for me with Ford SYNC and for the BMW iDrive in my wife's X5d. You are correct though, there does not seem to be any literature or documentation stating this as part of the phone's capability. My selling agent was willing to send me the One X to try out over the weekend. To my surprise and contentment, I finally have an Android phone working with AT&T and all of my BT capabilities. No compromises.
Any tips on getting it working? I enable "Message Access" in the Bluetooth advance setting. My Sync system won't Download unread messages and it won't let me send text message from the car. The phone hasn't pop up with a allow MAP access request dialog either. Any idea what I am doing wrong?
I am also using the ATT One X. Not sure if thats the problem or not.

I currently drive the BMW X3 F25 with advanced bluetooth connectivity , and although sms and phonebook works fine the email function in the office menu just states"No messages with the current filter." Before buying my HTC one X I checked the bmw compatibility site and saw that the HTC sensation supports this function with no problems at all, however after they updated their site to show the One x it does show no email support for one x but support with the sensation. What is really bugging me is what makes the sensation so special to allow the email support that the One x cant offer?
Is there any custom roms out there that might give me that support?
Are you on a specific custom rom allowing you ALL of your BT capabilities in your wife's car (inc Email) ?
Kind regards
Sorry to bring up an old thread, but I'm hoping to get some help here. I have been having trouble getting the MAP settings for my One X to stick to connect to my Toyota Entune. I will set up the advance settings in bluetooth, but it will not save. Entune is set up to go. I just can't get the settings to say on the phone. Anyone had this issue and was able to fix it?
I am a sensation user and before I rooted my phone most of the features worked. I have been looking high and low for more info in this so I will give you what I have.
4.4 (KitKat) has native support for MAP (Message Access Protocol) which is part of the Bluetooth stack. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bluetooth_profile#Message_Access_Profile_.28MAP.29)
Most Makers of the phones (HTC) have to set the profiles accordingly. The sensation had it for the HTC email app that was part of stock because it was built with that MAP profile setting from HTC. My car could not send a text message but it could receive them. After loading KitKat on my Sensation I can now send the messages but I think Google hangouts is messing with the receiving side of it. I am still trying to wrap my head around this but there you go...
Good luck!

Thanks for the info! It's just weird that it comes with chinese software. Any idea if i'd get 4g? (HSPA+)
I think the default language for the N7102 is Chinese.
As for 4G, im not sure. It should though since its Quad Band
Edit, checked the N7102 thread and saw this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=37317017&postcount=554
Oh so it won't work? Wow great thing I didn't decide to get it.
Not sure what country you are in but HSDPA+ isnt 4G ... those guys with N7102 outside china appear to have continued issues & I dont think a they will ever get what they hoped.
I completely dropped my plan to get one after reading the threads.
My need is for one sim for calls & texts & Another for Data only (im in UK) so I got a N7105 & for the data sim a Huawei E586 HSDPA+ Mifi router which also has sms send capability.
The 7102 in my opinion has too many down sides just to get 2 live call lines.
No warranty ... already people are reporting faulty units.

This phone is an MTK or MediaTek phone, it has a different way of rooting it, Google FramaRoot and try with that. im not even sure how you were able to try to root it since i cant get into download mode in my phone but anyway, to unbrick the phone i guess you can try a jig or if not Google unbrick MTK and do some research. Good luck!
I just picked up a Note II from Sprint and it had 4.1 on it. I connected it to my Jeep Wrangler (2012 Unlimited) UConnect Radio (Model 130) and everything worked great when making a phone call. (I first this last friday tried a Note 3, but that wouldn't make calls at all from my jeep and Sprint said that they know and it might never be compatible, so I had to return it and swapped it out for the Note II on monday.)
The phone then upgraded to Android 4.3. Now I have a unique Bluetooth issue that I have exhausted searching for an answer to but cannot find one.
The phone will answer calls just fine through the UConnect radio, and it will make calls to some people just fine through the bluetooth. But when I call some people it will ring thought the speakers just fine, and then when they answer the UConnect radio announces "Call Ended." However the person is still connected and it still shows the bluetooth connected just fine in my action/notification bar and the headset button in the call is still highlighted green. But I have to hit the speaker button to speak top the people at that point. Again, this doesnt happen on every call so thats why I am confused.
I have found a solution however, and this is where I need the help of one of the superusers on here. (To preface this, I have read about 150 posts online about the Note 2 and bluetooth issues. I have deleted and repaired the phone from the Jeep UConnect and removed the Uconnect from the phone about 20 times. I have tried Bluetooth Auto connect, I have tried Tasker, I have tried disabling the media audio option, IU have tried bth allowing MAP and not allowing MAP. I have tried both allowing the phonebook and call history download and tried not allowing it. I have called Sprint...NO HELP, and I have called Jeep...NO HELP. Both Sprint and Jeep told me there were no firmware updates available to fix this (Jeep said they cant do firmware updates on my radio) and Sprint said there were no plans to fix this kind of bug in the future)
When the UConnect announces "Call Ended", I can drag down my top action/notification bar, click on the gear for settings, click on Bluetooth, then click on the UConnect gear for settings, uncheck the "Call audio Use for phone audio", and then re check it. Once this has been rechecked, the Uconnect picks back up the audio just fine and I can continue the call on the radio handsfree like it is supposed to be.
I live in CA where is is required to be handsfree so I really need a solution to not fumble with the phone for 10 seconds trying to make it do what it should do automatically. (Like my 4 year old Galaxy S2 did just fine).
I have tried tasker but cant seem to find a way to make it perform those steps I need.
My big question then is this... Is there an app or someone that knows how to write a simple app that would simply disable then re-enable the call audio checkbox under the Uconnect settings with the press of one button. or the press of an app icon from the home screen or something. Or has anyone seen this and knows of a fix?
Sorry for being long winded, just want to make sure the problem is clearly explained. I am truly at my wits end.
Thanks in advance for any help you can give, it is greatly appreciated.
So couple questions. Are you pure stock, got root, custom recovery?

I have a Singapore variant of the tab S4 it makes and receives calls just fine over 3G but wont make them over LTE is VoLTE even possible on this? I travel the country and have ran into a few instances where I have LTE coverage but not 3G
It looks bad
Samsung has disabled VoLTE in every tablet that supports it, tab s3, s4, s6 and s7. It won't comment on this. I suggest contacting Samsung and asking for an update to address this issue. I understand there is a complex hack to accomplish this, but it involves editing a binary file.
If Samsung won't do it, maybe the carrier firmware can enable VoLTE?
AT&T says its Tab S4 variant will continue to work after their 3G shutdown.
Tab S4 (SM-T837A) is listed in their compatible devices:
https://www.att.com/idpassets/images/support/wireless/Devices-Working-on-ATT-Network.pdf
Maybe this means VoLTE is enabled for calling? Or they might mean it will keep working but only for data LTE.
There is no carrier tab s4 that will work for calls, and I don't think sms either! The carriers have a system in which you can have data/talk/text on a samsung Tab 3,4,5,6,7,8 if you also have a samsung phone.
Samsung also has a setting you can enable to make calls on your tablet if you also have a phone, if both devices are logged into your Samsung account. No security flaw there! Not sure if the phone must be Samsung too, but it would seem so!
I'm not going to say what I think about a manufacturer going out of its way to reverse a setting, intentionally crippling its flagship products, so customers need to purchase more stuff to obtain the expected functionality!
I did write to the CEO of Samsung Electronics, Co., Ltd.. I asked for a firmware update to enable VoLTE in the Tab S series beginning with the S3.
Earlier Tab S don't have compatible hardware. If you clear your browser data, so no one can tell you're a hacker, and google 'Samsung investor relations', you can find his name and address.
I'm not going to dox him here. But if anyone wants to write him, please be very civil, clean, upright, and simply ask for an update, followed by, "I only ask for Samsung to live up to its reputation! I think my request is more than reasonable! Thank you for taking your valuable time to read my message. Best Regards, name"
Don't use spinglish--words and phrases that mean one thing implied to mean something else. And example in reverse is when Dell dubbed one of its laptops exploding into flames, 'a thermal event'!
Just be direct, brief, polite and honest.
Samsung chat says:
Hi, thank you for contacting Samsung Care. I’m D-- ....

8:37 PM Profile SEA Digital Messaging We don't have the exact information. Hope it will update will release in couple of weeks.

8:41 PM ok yes. Then I will wait for the update. Is this official it will be updated?

So maybe it'll be soon I'm hoping to use VoLTE for my tablet soon. Otherwise Singapore firmware might allow VoLTE calls currently? Why is that? I can't download or install or side-load any phone app currently.
edit update: I flashed to t-mobile using odin and that lets me send and receive texts just fine using messenger app. I use tello so I can place outbound calls over wifi too, so I can just use google voice for any other phone call inbound. I've heard other versions outside usa might be able to place calls though?? Suppose we'll get an update here soon anyway hopefully.

Like calling on other devices, if both a phone and tablet are logged in to your Samsung account, you can use your tablet for Data/talk/txt, because it's actually using the phone.
I recently bought a watch 3 from facebook marketplace. The seller said that he simply forgot the pin code. I figured, easy fix, and I have a cheap watch 3. Turns out that it was actually a part of the West Point Covid Tracing program and is locked down, HARD. No recovery option in boot menu, can't change wi-fi, bluetooth or connections settings. Will not allow connecting to a phone. Can't reset through the watch itself.
I've tried to connect it to my computer and use Odin. It will connect to my computer using the boot menu option Download wirelessly, but Odin will not see it. The watch keeps saying start Odin. My Note 20 Ultra connects to Odin just fine. So, it's not a firewall issue.
I even went so far as to contact the West Point email address the watch pointed me too. I got a response from a scientist stating that the program is over, and she doesn't have any additional info, or a way to get passed the restrictions. She also said that he wasn't supposed to sell it. Well, great!
Does anyone have any hints, tips, tricks, info, workarounds? The watch is in damn near mint condition. I can get into the developer menu, it will let me run all of the diagnostics, but nothing to do with resetting. I really want to be able to use this.
Thanks for any and all help.
Are you using NetOdin to conmect to your Watch? It is not the same Odin, which is used to connect to phones (like your Note 20 Ultra).

I was able to use Netodin and flash the watch. It worked for a bit, and then knox came back biting. I've been looking for the workaround for this. Do you know the direction to look?
Normally Knox should not be a problem, because you have flashed an official firmware. Maybe you can try a factory reset.
