[Problem] Fingerprint gestures not working after battery drained - Lenovo P2 Questions & Answers

So, i installed LineageOS 15 on my P2, and decided to test the battery performance. When the device reached 0% and shut down, neither the fingerprint scanner nor the fingerprint gestures didn't work, I tried flashing many mods to enable, didn't work. then I tried going back to stock for a fresh, clean install, and the same problem still exists.
and now I am running stock s244 and I am hesitant to install any rom, but i really want to
is there any case like mine?
what do you recommend?

On some ROMs when you enable navigation bar , fp gestures will be disabled. Try changing it.
If not , it might as well be a hardware issue.
I for an example switched a lot of ROMs and the fingerprint gestures pretty much always worked.

Battery Calibration Error!

Hello, my name is Josh and I just got done installing the Hyperdrive ROM on my T-Mobile note 3 SM-N900T. I did as the instructions said to do as always and the ROM seems to be not only running well, but way faster and way better looking than my old Wicked ROM. The only issue seems to be that I cannot calibrate the battery. When I try Battery Calibration, no matter what app, it says it cannot locate the "battstats.bin" file. So my readout stays at 100% until the phone dies. What should I do?

Charge your phone all the way up, unplug the phone and dial *#0228# run the calibration and charge the phone again till the stat matches your battery reading.

Hey man thanks alot that worked great! However I am now having second thoughts on the ROM alltogether. It wont let me use PIN for my lockscreen, it just freezes the phone and then it hot reboots. Then there is the matter of the fact half of the features it states it can do arent actually working. The OverClocking for instance resets on every reboot, the wake by guesture features dont work, and there are some other annoying faults as well. I am actually thinking of trying out the PAC Man ROM. Do you have an opinion on this ROM? I would also like to install the ZION Kernel for it but have no idea how to do custom Kernels other than when they are included in a AROMA install package.
What Rom are you currently using?
I dont know much about pac Rom i use Tweaked 3.9 and it works perfectly.
Well I got my Hyperdrive ROM running correctly. It turns out it was because my phone's baseband had not been updated to the N9 update, so I had to unroot, flash back to stock, update, then try again. It all seems to be working so much better. The only issue now is the Viper4 Android sound mod doesnt seem to work. Ive tried the "force v4a", compatibility mode, and now Ive removed the stock music fx app with a system app remover and it still doesnt work.

problems with GPS and camera flash

Hi,
I'm almost at the point of giving up on the GPS not wanting to lock and also with the camera flash issue that I've always experienced.
I'm currently running the stable Slimrom 4.4.4 with CWM - the latest version of that
- I did try various roms even the stock rom.
I've tried numerous gps tools and fixes without any periods of luck. I was randomly able to get the GPS to lock a few times but nothing steady.
The flash on the camera always shuts off the phone even with new batteries and after calibrating the battery.
any suggestions?

8 second wake up SM-T900

I have turned off animations and S voice, they made no difference. My wife and I have identical tablets, with same custom rom(chhaggerty) 5.1.1. Hers works perfectly, mine takes 8 seconds or longer to wake-up. My tablet did work perfect, same rom, but I tried flashing back to stock, then rooted and debloated. Didn't like that so I went back to previous rom(chhaggerty). Each time I changed roms I did a full wipe including internal partions. Any ideas what is causing the wake-up delay?

you probably have a firmware with 5.1.1 and chhaggerty's rom is based on the 4.4.* firmware hence why you have a 8 sec delay

You were right on! I went back to stock, had to flash it twice. ROOTED! Everything is perfect, accept I think my micro USB port is shot. I have difficulty connecting to laptop or getting it charge.
Thanks

Fingerprint scanner stopped working

Just recently my fingerprint scanner will decide to stop working. I'll dirty flash my ROM (latest PureNexus) and it'll go back to normal for a little while. Is this a known issue with nougat I'm not aware of?

No, that is not a nougat issue or an issue with that particular rom. It's either firmware, which is in vendor our a failing fingerprint sensor. Try re flashing vendor and see if that helps
I was having that problem too. I tried several things with no luck. The menu option for the fingerprints (under personal/security) disappeared, and since I am clueless about the Nexus phone (iPhone convert), I was baffled. For a separate reason, I had used the ad blocker plus browser to clear the cache of suspicious garbage, then restarted my phone. The fingerprint menu item reappeared, and now the sensor works again....so try clearing your cache.
I got too i fixed by clean fingerprint connector in the phone.

Fingerprint Scanner doesn't work after reboot

After restarting my Mi5s the fingerprint scanner doesn't work anymore. The same issue appears when I put the phone off and I put it on a day later (I like to put the phone off while sleeping).
I know that the first time after restarting the fingerprint doesn't work by Android default. However, it also doesn't work thereafter. When I remove the fingerprints in settings and add new ones, it works again. Does anyone have the same issue and a possible solution?
Not having this issue. Which ROM version do you have installed?
I use the xiaomi.eu stable rom.
Ah ok, custom ROM then. Please ask in xiaomi.eu forum, they might know more.

I had same problem here after I encrypted my device with 'encrypt device using lock screen'. When I switched encryption off the problem was solved. So seems a software problem. I am working with most recent stable Global Rom (8.0.3.0). Hope it will be solved in next release. China stable was released a few days ago.
had that problem with miui.eu , it was an outdated version of supersu and twrp, updated them and problem solved.
