How to install SPay on US watch outside US. - Samsung Galaxy Watch

I bought a galaxy watch from the US. I'm in Thailand and it is not loaded on the watch. How can I load SPay on the watch?

Some region watches don't have Samsung pay yet but you can change it.
Before you do anything you should check what region you want(you need compatible credit cards for the region) to add and find the code for it, because the region names are just 3 letter codes and it's hard to know what is going on when selecting the code and you don't want to spend hours guessing. And before you change the region write down the one your watch came with so you can go back if needed.
First download the zip from here on your computer.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=74585286&postcount=330
And next follow the steps on here to change region, it says gear sport but I did it step by step on my galaxy watch. And when enabling debugging on the watch you need to reboot it.

That should do the trick.

When you first started the watch the auto selected language is usually the one from the country it came from but it could be just in English in some cases.
Another easy way its looking to the content of the box the watch came in, in my case it came with some of the papers on Arabic writing.
When you start samsung pay on the watch the first time it says something about the country, in my case it told me United Arab Emirates, then it opens on the phone and you can check what banks are available, that sends you to the page that will be on the language of the region and will have the banks of the country that can be added to the watch at the time but I didn't understand any of what it said.
If you follow the guide steps to change the region when you can change it, it's going to be selected with a blue dot, like in the sound mode selection.

How to find out model number on Galaxy s9 tmob..

Hello fellas(and ladies)
I have a Samsung Galaxy S9, from t-mobile, dark blue. I've locked myself out of the device, and I have a friend that is going to help me get it back working. In order for him to be able to help me, he needs to know the model number. I know it's a SM-G960.. but how do I determine the exact model (i.e. sm-g960f, sm-g960e, etc). I'm unable to login to the phone so I cant check it like that, and the back cover is sealed on there as you know unless you have the tools to remove the cover (which I don't). Is there another way to find out which model it is, like download mode or recovery mode or something? Thanks for taking the time to read this, and for your advice.

You just keep locking yourself out of devices don't you....
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-j7/help/galaxy-j7-g-oogle-verification-issue-t3852720/
Well one thing you can do is reset your Google password on a computer then try to login again after 24 hours. Surely you have a recovery email address which you can use?
This is Samsung's instructions on what to do:
If you already reset your device, but don't remember your Google username and/or password, the device can't be used. In that case, you can do one of these:
If you know your Google username but can't remember the password, you can reset your password on the device, or at www.google.com. It can take up to 24 hours for a new password to sync with all registered devices. After 24 hours, you can try logging in to your phone with the new password.
If you have multiple Google Accounts, and you can't remember which Google Account you set up on your device, visit https://www.google.com/android/devicemanager.
Log in with your Google username and password and check the list of devices registered to the account. If you don't see the device listed on the account, it means the device is registered to a different account. Use the same process to check for devices linked to your other Google Accounts. When you find the registered account, use it to log in to your device.
If you can't remember any of your Google Account information, you can send your device, along with proof of purchase, to an authorized Samsung Service Center. Samsung has special tools to reset the phone to factory defaults with no protection enabled.

Furthermore:
It seems dodgy to me that you posted a topic pretty much asking the same thing about a month ago regarding a totally different phone here - https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-j7/help/galaxy-j7-g-oogle-verification-issue-t3852720/
FRP is there to prevent lost/stolen phones from being used, if you've bought a phone that is FRP locked you should take it up with the seller. Not try to break the lock yourself!

Anyone running Hong Kong (TGY) firmware on their SM-N9750 (vs Taiwan (BRI)?)

I switched to the N9750 from a Galaxy S9+ (SM-G9650) from the same "family" (Hong Kong & Snapdragon) because I was so pleased with many of the firmware customizations present in the S9+, including the Hiya integration in the stock Dialer app. (You know it's there if there is a "Places" tab and if a contact search also searches businesses in your area.)
However, my N9750 sadly did not come with this feature, but I did notice that there is a second region option for this model (namely my beloved Hong Kong!)
Can anyone running the Hong Kong firmware comment on whether Hiya integration is there or not?
TIA!

Thank you. I checked my apps list and the Hiya service is not there, which is strange. I'm wondering if it is only installed for certain locales when the phone is initially set up?
Well, I've tried resetting my device to both TGY and BRI firmware (though they both show up the same in "About Phone") and I tried different locales in each, but still no sign of Hiya. I'll just hope that it shows up in a later update. It is even advertised by Samsung as "Smart Call" on their global and Canadian websites.

I should have used the correct terminology. I did a full reset and then flashed the TGY firmware. The two firmware files (BRI and TGY) were exactly the same size, so it was of little surprise that there was no difference as far as Hiya was concerned.
However, even though Hiya was not in my list of apps, when I searched my entire Settings for it, it did show up in my system apps, as did Smart Call. So both services are there, but they just don't seem to be implemented with the current phone app bundled with these firmware releases.
One thing to note about the TGY firmware (before anyone else takes the plunge) was that my signal bars dropped from 4-5 to just 1. I let the phone be for a good 10 minutes and this did not change. When I flashed back to BRI, the bars started off at 1, but then quickly reverted to 3 then 4. It could have been serendipity, but I can't say for sure...

I see, based on my experience with multi CSC firmware, BRI and TGY firmware are the same with multiple CSC included and it will only switch CSC when the correct sim is inserted. So no matter how many times you flash the firmware, it will stay the same CSC unless you are able to find workarounds.
To answer your question on Hiya, I believe it's also CSC dependent. The services are in the firmware (I have just searched), but it will only be active when the correct CSC is activated. I have been trying to find ways to switch to the TGY CSC to get Places and Smart Octopus but there isn't any working method yet. The Smart Call is advertised as a regional feature (you can find that statement the fine print) and I believe Hiya isn't available in Taiwan. It is available in HK so if the phone has TGY CSC it will might activate Smart Call and Places (since it is advertised in the HK Samsung page)

I even tried the Samkey method and I got a "This model is NOT supported for CSC Change" error, even though the Samkey website mentioned the SM-N9750 as a supported model. I emailed the dev for clarification.

I went through Samkey as well and got the same results and also email the dev. Looks like the only way is to switch to TGY right now is to get a provisioned hk sim.

Anyone has any solution for call recording with acceptable quality?
I think they removed network speed in status bar also completely!

Changing the language..

Hi guys/girls,, I bought a galaxy watch a few months back from eBay, brand new.
I was told it was a UK version, but typically once I received it, the box said Bulgaria or somewhere on the label, but as it was a good price and unopened I didn't complain (even though I specifically asked if it was the UK version!), as its possible to change the language on the initial startup screen. So that's what I did, and all has been fine since, great watch, very pleased.
I have never updated the firmware, so still on original factory ROM etc.
Thing is, I read somewhere that since Samsung has released the new updates, the icon has disappeared on Startup where you select the language. So I have never updated due to worrying that the watch will be stuck in Bulgarian.
Is there any chance that someone running the latest update could do a reset to see if the change language option is still there? I've been through all the settings and I can't find anywhere to change the language (I don't need to yet as I haven't updated, but just having a look)..
Thanks .
Mine was similar to yours and I received a Portuguese version instead of a UK, after I changed the settings to UK my language setting disappeared as well.
But what I understand is that from now on your watch will use the same language setting that is on your phone.
Now this is just a guess, but I would presume that after you have updated your watch the language setting should still reflex the same setting as your phone.

OK thanks for the fast reply, but yes that's also what I have read, that the watch reflects your phones language.. Was just hoping that someone could confirm this for sure before I try as I doubt its possible to downgrade if it went wrong
Well in case anyone is wondering, ive updated and is still in English..

SM-N975X??

A friend of mine gived to me a SM-N975X Note 10+ model. It looks like a demo unit model unable to read a sim and call.
I'd like flash a stock rom with Odin but I can't find a "SM-N975X" rom. Only "Combination file" that I dont know wath it is.
Some hints?
Thx a lot
Looks like that's a demo unit and nothing more then just a demo unit.

You can unlock it with a password , if it's from a best buy store
I mean to unlock the demo retailer stuff that keeps cycling , and you would be able to use it normally , without the sim.
Step 1
From your Home Screen touch the “Apps” icon – it’s in the bottom-right corner.
Step 2
Scroll through your apps and find “Samsung Retail Mode” app ….. not be confused with the “RetailMode” app. Open up Samsung Retail Mode.
Step 3
Touch “Configuration settings”
Step 4
Enter the password: blue
and touch OK
To consider: maybe this phone wont be able to charge to 100% , it's top is 70%
Let us know if this worked for you !
Zappomax - Are you asking how to disable the store demo mode or how to make it so the phone can use a sim card and access the cell network.
Your original post made it sound like you wanted to use it on the cell network, but in hindsight you may have been asking about something else.

What I'd like to do is using all the usual cell phone features like a stock phone (especially sim calls).
I heard about "combination file" rom but I don't know exactly if it is useful in this case
Unfortunately, no, it will be of no use, the demo units in any case are not capable to do what you want, it is not just a firmware thing, it is a phisical restriction what prevents them from being used as regular phones, no way to circumvent it, that's it, to finish this, that these demo units end in the hands of people is an irregular ocvurence, as all these units are intended to return to Samsung once their life cycle ends, they are nit intended to be sold in any case, so...

Adding a little more info the combination file requires a token in order to be flashed/used. This token is not free and costs a pretty hefty sum (per posts here on the forum).
Without this token (or "authorization for use" if this term fits better) you will not be able to use the firmware.

Active 2 LTE. Help with SM-R825F CSC change.

Ok so let me start this by saying that I really don't know what I am doing and I really need help with this. I ordered an SM-R825U samsung galaxy active 2 watch off of ebay and it came from the US (I live in Canada). I found out that to use LTE and Samsung pay, I needed to flash different firmware and change the csc code (I followed the tutorial entirely). I get that my watch is now 825F and thats all fine, but what I don't get is why my watch is now downloading samsung pay in sweden and refuses to connect to LTE. I've tried changing stock firmwares (I somehow haven't bricked my watch) but I have a different problem every time (Updates won't work, samsung pay wont work, lte wont work, etc). My watch is currently on Tizen 5.5.0.2. If someone could please walk me through how to change my watch to Canadian and give me the right files, that would be amazing!
I've done a bit more research and I was wondering if these files would work?
https://easy-firmware.com/index.php?a=downloads&b=file&id=339111 (Combination files)
https://easy-firmware.com/index.php?a=downloads&b=file&id=327322 (Stock Firmware)
If I follow the normal instructions, should these work just fine?
Yeah so in case anyone has the same problem as me, as long as you follow this Youtube video (
) and use the files that I put in my last reply (unfortunately they are paid. Maybe you can find them somewhere for free, I'm not sure) instead of the ones in the video, you should be good. I followed those steps and now my watch is working with Samsung Pay and LTE!
