Been using Kinivo BTC450 Bluetooth streamers in my vehicles for a long time with lots of different phones including a few other Motos with zero issues. The Z2 Force connects just fine but there is some serious delay skipping songs and going back. I'm talking 1-2 minute delays!!! Also, the Z2 will start playing music all by itself after I've been out of my vehicle for a while. I've tried a few different music player apps with the same results. Any ideas on how to fix this or should I just sell my Z2 Forces and go back to my trusty LG-G6's and Huawei Mate SE's?????
I should add that this is an At&t Z2 on Android 7.1.
Why haven't you upgraded them to Oreo? It could very well be a firmware, or even hardware flaw. For instance, the G5 is known for bad GPS and the solder for the 6P's big cluster can detach over time. I own 2 ZFs but rarely use BT outside of transferring small files.

I've had really bad experiences taking major Android updates but I just slid my H2o sim in this Z2 and it's slowly updating. Really hope it fixes my Bluetooth issues.
Updating the Z2 definitely helped but music is still playing in the back ground after it disconnects from Bluetooth. Not huge deal but still kinda irritating.
I've tried 2 version: Sprint dual sim and ATT
The dual sim one had troubles when playing media via bluetootj headset. The single sim, till now, has not had any problem yet
I have something very similar. I connect my z2 to my pionner carstereo fine and sometimes ir just mutes for 1-2 seconds. I could say ir happens 3-4 times every time i go to a 40min drive. That sucks. I thought it was just on my side

Since swapping from my GS2 i have noticed signal loss issues when streaming music from my HOX to my Bluetooth headphones. Previously i used my GS2 everyday to play music via one of 2 pairs of Bluetooth headphones whilst training. Never had any issues with signal loss even when I left the phone on the other side of the gym temporarily. Now when I use my HOX I get massive skips sometimes if i merely put it in my pocket upside down or more commonly if i put my hand over the top end of the handset or swing a weight and/or my arm etc over top of it. I swapped firmware to aokp to see if it helped and it may have slightly but still it is unacceptable for a newer handset to do this let alone a flag ship. I have seen some others noticing this too and sorry if it has been already discussed lots, just wondering if anyone has found a fix or workaround? Or do I just need to go back to Sammy and swap to an s3?
Thanks in advance

Go swap it for an S3. You'll fit right in over at the whiniest forum on xda.
Chill, no need for that dude I'm not trolling or IMO excessively moaning over nothing as it seems like I have a legit hardware issue I was trying to work around, other than that I'm very happy with my change back to HTC.

I've had similar problems with my bluetooth headset on my One X - fairly frequent signal dropouts which appear as pauses / skips in the music. This is in contrast to my HTC Desire which always had a good signal to the same headset, and very rarely (if ever) dropped out.
i use bluetooth headphones when training and also catching train to work and i notice it too mate. In fact i had something similar in my desire HD. The range of the signal and also strength is exremely poor in recent HTC phones for some reason. I thought it may be my Senheiser headphones, but i tested them on my friends SG1 and they work perfectly even at long ranges, no skips or pauses.
I don't think there is a fix as i think the problem is in the poor hardware itself......hopefully HTC address this in their future phones
Cheers for the replies guys, yeah assumed that was the case just was hoping I could some how increase the buffer size or something along those lines so when the signal is interrupted it could stream through it somewhat. Obviously this would only work if the interruption was relatively short but still may just be enough for a bit smoother playback, providing this was possible at all in the first place of course. I tried to fiddle with power amps settings to do this in a very basic way but had no real success.

It's probably obvious, but have you tried unpairing and then re-pairing your BT headphones? I used to have a similar problem with my Legend, and doing that solved it (along with rebooting the phone). BT reception on my HOX has been near flawless, on the other hand, so not sure what causes your problems. Hope the above helps.
PS. The HOX does have skip issues when turning the screen on/off, and I suspect this has to do with switching to and from the companion core. Wonder if that will be fixed in JB.

My bluetooth headset signal is getting worse and worse.. even having it about 30cm away it'll still lose signal.
and if i put it in my pocket and walk, basically every step i lose signal...
I assume it's software issue and it didn't have such a bad problem when i was on ICS
This is a hardware issue

I have 2 issues with Bluetooth on this phone. (Verizon version)
First, it does disconnect and occasionally with my Kinova head set. (Never with the M8)
Second, it has horrible range compared to my M8. I put the 10 in the exact same spot on my toolbox at work as my M8 with the same headset and I don't get nearly the same range as before. I honestly could go about 30-40 yards with the M8, I am lucky to get 15-20 with the 10, sometimes it even breaks up just 15 feet away! One of the greatest things I personally liked about the M8 was how far bluetooth range was.
Hopefully there will be an update to improve this.
I agree BT is kinda ****ty. It doesn't totally lose connection to my truck stereo but it starts to glitch out if I handle the phone while streaming music has to be put down to keep a solid signal

that's odd, I cant comment on the range. but ive streamed for a couple hours, while using as a mobile wifi hotspot along side the streaming, while driving on a long drive and it didn't have one hiccup, worked the whole time. also received a couple calls that switched over audio perfectly to the stereo speakerphone and then switch back to music without issue.
BT audio is used everywhere I go in my car, I cant stand normal radio.
I have Verizon version
It could be my radio i have an alpine 265bt but it also happened in my wifes Malibu 2015 on stock radio also. It will stream fine if i just set it down but once i start using the phone will streaming it seems to interupt the signal. Its weird i have to kinda shake the phine to stop the glitch

I've also found the range to be rather poor, and also sometimes connectivity is temperamental about what it will connect with.
BT has worked well for me. At least in my car, it's probably the best sounding implementation I've used to date.
My problems have been with the WiFi - all the problems you guys have mentioned.
BT Power
Another thing I'm noticing is that in the battery-usage stats, BT power consumption is considerably higher than the Screen's!
On my M8, it never mattered whether I left BT on or off as far as battery life was concerned.
FYI Alpine recently released a bt firmware update for my 149 that really helped. I've had excellent luck thru many portable speakers like TDK and SB roar2 but the car was glitchy. Now it's smooth and fast. No issues here

BT loses connection
I have a similar problem but it happens when
1) Phone lose signal due to poor cell signal.
2) When Wi-fi automatically connects (when I drive into my garage).
When this happens internal speaker kicks in. Only way to fix this issue is to disable and enable Bluetooth.
I've had my Note 7 since it was released on AT&T and actually love it. I was a bit reluctant to go back to Samsung after my Sony Z3Compact, but the Note 7 really wowed me.
As a commuter, I use the bluetooth audio 3 hours every day in the car and often either plug in headphones or use a set of bluetooth buds while I'm doing chores around the house. Until Saturday, audio output was phenomenal. Saturday I got a notification that there was a software update available, so I thought nothing of installing it. Since that time, my audio (BT, built-in speaker, or plugged in headphones) gets static-y when I have the screen off. Turn on the screen and everything sounds fantastic again. Short of reformatting the phone (or rooting and rom-ing, which I'm not even sure is an option yet), I've tried everything I can think to try to get this issue cleared up.
I'm willing to experiment, so throw your suggestions at me. I've searched around and haven't come up with any other users experiencing this issue. Any help is appreciated.
I've had this issue occasionally with my Tmobile Note 7. It hasn't received any updates yet. I noticed plugging in the charger also stops the problem.

More info: on the ride home today, I switched to Google Play Music and put on some music that would give me some pretty clean audio... No crunchiness,no static. Seems it may be related to Pocket casts.
I'll see if some setting or other got tripped.
Any suggestions on THAT are also welcome.
Aha! I may have it sorted now.
I had also bumped the playback speed of my podcasts to 3x (from 2.6), so I figured I would check to see if that's the cause and taking it back down to 2.7x seems to have fixed it!
Whomever is in charge of the things can close the thread.
i think the buds are really good.... but I am now on my third pair, as the first two both malfunctioned, and i'm starting to wonder if its the buds or the phone. In . both cases, when new, I had equal stereo, but within a few days, I found the left side to be much quieter than the right side. One day they were fine. the next day they weren't, and they never returned to working properly. Identical experience on the first two sets. In both cases I had tried resetting them, removing and re-pairing them, messing around with loads of different galaxy buds and bluetooth parameters etc. Of course, I tried reversing them in the opposite ears, but it was the bud, not my ear! So now im on my third pair, and hoping they dont go wrong. Anyone else had these issues? Perhaps its the device itself?
enable disable absolute volume.
set volume to max on ur earbuds and never to change again. change the touch controls to some other function or lock it. control volume only via phone.

in case your buds were accidentally softened?

They weren't.
Well I can say that the other end of a call not being able to hear you, and the crackling of presumably crappy bluetooth connection when phone in pocket does NOT improve with a different phone. I had to warranty my s10+ for the sprint signal issues and no change on either front. Getting ready to try and see if they'll swap out my buds now, but who knows with samsung nowadays

I had major issues with my buds after an update so much that I couldn't put my phone in my pocket without 2 or 3 second dropouts. I had to reset the buds a couple of times and now they are perfect again. Have you tried this?
Does the ambient sound work for you? For me and other users who reported the issue in Samsung forum it does not, meaning that it does not make any difference...
There was an update in the last few days. I've had much better luck since then.
Hey guys I have an issue with my galaxy Buds.
They are not loud enough and dont produce good sound quality for calls as well as for music, they also dont get along with bluetooth connectivity. Most of the time gets disconnected and produce uneven sound while they are connected to the device, people on the call do not hear my voice properly and clearly.
Have tried reset option but it does not work for me, face the same problems time and again.
Any solutions? Definitely not going for a replacement as the procedure will be lengthy as I got them in the pre order sale.

Have you tried adjusting the volume of your buds? Go into the wear app, select your buds (my app defaults to my Gear S3), and go into touch pad. Change it to volumn up. By default they are set to like 1/2 the volumn they are capable of.

Did that the very first day but I did not help. So have sold the buds after all.

don't update them, I seem to think the update bricked my pair so now I just don't mess with updates..

My buds were shipped to me the day the phone launched. From the beginning they seemed low budget in every respect except sound quality. Sound wise they are solid mid tier Bluetooth buds. Like many I had spotty connectivity while pocketing the phone. I had the right bud with less battery life/capacity then the left. And now my bud are being sent in to Samsung since the case no longer tops the earbud off without being plugged in. Fully charged case, insert dead buds, 3 hours latter buds still 0%. Light inside case never turns on.
My right one stopped connecting :/
hey,
does anyone else have a battery drain on the f3 update? my right bud keeps draining my case and itself.
The case was fully charged I left it and after 24h the case was dead and the right bud is at 30%, while the left bud is at 100%.
I tried resetting, cleaning case and even adding papers on top of right bud(bad connection) but nothing helped.
I know my bud is charging for sure because the light recognizes it but it seems unable to fully go out when in case(The bud).
Anyone had the same issue? anything that can help? I really like the buds but this issue that came with the last update(I THINK) is really a downer
I have had the new Sony WF-SP800N for about two months now and am generally happy with their quality but good Lord, disconnects happen often, sometimes as much as every 20 minutes. I have some older Aukey wireless ear buds and they virtually never disconnect.
I'm trying to pinpoint whether it's something with the way Samsung does BT but it's getting tiresome... I have a 3aXL and a U11 to test with too but wanted to see if anyone else sees this behavior either with the SP800N or even the 1000MX3s with their Note.
