What app are you using for watch faces? - Samsung Galaxy Watch

I am really new to this smartwatch thing. I was on santa's nice list, so I got a galaxy watch, 46mm in my stocking. I've been browsing the galaxy wearable app for watch faces and was wondering what other apps or methods you use to get faces on your watch?
-J

There are the Galaxy Watch Designer, Watchmaker and Facer.
The first is from Samsung, the other two are 3rd party apps.
I really liked Watchmaker on my Wear OS watch but heard, that it uses up a lot of battery. Facer seems to use even more.
Watchmaker has a lot of options and possibilities.

I used watchmaker on WearOS too and use in on SGW. There's no noticable battery drain on mine from before using it. I still get ~3% an hour, AOD, Wake Gesture, Spotify, Auto WiFi. Location off. I suppose it depends on the face you are using.

I use watchmaker because I like making my own. I would probably use Galaxy Watch Designer, but I don't have regular access to my laptop at the moment.

Fortunately you've barely scratched the surface... Facer, Mr. Time, WatchMaker, Galaxy Watch Designer...

I have been using my pebble with it since I got my oneplus. Before that i had a Nexus 5 and no problems either
It is a really good option if you look for a good battery and plenty of apps.
L G watch!!! It worked perfectly with my g3 and oneplus
My Moto 360 has been working just fine.
I got a LG G watch R love it

I've had a Pebble since the first Kickstarter units shipped, and recently switched to a Moto 360. You can't go wrong with either. I definitely prefer the Moto 360, but the Pebble is unbeatable for battery life.
Sony
I have a SmartWatch3 and it works perfectly well
I have a Zenwatch and it works perfectly with my OPO Only thing is that the smart lock feature thing eats up the battery, so I've turned that off and control the lockscreen from tasker.
I'm using an LG G Watch R and loving it l.

Zenwatch with OPO has been wonderful.
I'm using a moto 360 for some time now, it works great, no errors.
I think that as long as you use an Android Wear watch, it will work just fine.
every smartwatch based on android wear will work fine for you! (and multiplatform ones, like pebble, just do not try the apple i watch *laughing*)
I've bought the opo and my G watch at the same time. Love both. All the android wear ones are basically the same. Just depends on the style you'd like more

Avoid Samsung Gear watches. Some functions might work, but many will not.
Thanks all for your suggestions.
Definitely I will plan to buy a Sony smartwatch 3, maybe..

Perfect with lg g watch r. Basically work with every android wear.

Android watch recommendations

Does anyone use an Android watch? Any recommendations if you do. Was interested in buying one but no idea which one

As of right now, I'd suggest the Huawei watch. Though, if I were you, I'd wait. A whole bunch of new Android wear watches are probably about to be released. Android wear 2.0 is about to come out with a whole bunch of new features, and a bunch of new watches should follow to support these new features.

I have the zenwatch2 and love it.but I also echo the above comments. I would wait it out a month or two and see what's new coming.

I'm quite happy with my Sony Smartwatch 3:
- cheap (you can easily find it for ~100€ on Amazon
- I can easily get a full solid day off the battery
i'm using a samsung gear s3 frontier along with my OP3T. notification works well. i can answer calls but I cannot text on the watch (not that I want to). spotify controller works well, and I can read flipboard articles on the watch to pass time.
Huawei watch is pretty good, tho mic and voice commands seems to be worse than on the other watches. Maybe because mic is located underside of the watch, where the band connects. I have been using Android wear 2.0 beta for some time already, and really liking it, much smoother than old version. But Google is propably gonna announce new watches soon, Android wear 2.0 stable is coming in next month. If you find a really good deal for Huawei watch or others, then maybe buy now, but otherwise I would wait and see the new ones which are coming.
No love for the Asus Zenwatch 3 in here?

I've been using a Sony Smartwatch 3 ever since it was launched and wouldn't change it for anything else. I tried a Huawei Watch for a couple of days and it wasn't as comfortable. Furthermore, I use it as a GPS running watch and it pairs with any BT Smart HRM without any issue. Nice to go for a long run without a phone when you have GPS, MP3-player and HRM on your wrist.
I would recommend the Samsung Gear S3 ,or even the Gear S2 ,the software is superior to Android wear in my opinion .

I'm planning on getting a gear s3 frontier with my 3T. How is the compability? Any significant limitations compared to pairing it with a Samsung phone?
Anyone miss a call notification once and a while?
Ill notice Ill get a missed call on my watch and it never vibrated
Using Gear S3 Frontier and the only thing i might miss is google assistant unless sammy updates the gear s3 with their own rumoured assistant Bixby.
The rotating bezel, the battery life, and the simple OS are major wins.
and with samsung pay about to launch in India its a major win because of MST.

Fitness Devices - What Works Well With The HTC 10?

Does anybody have any recommendations on fitness wearables to pair with the HTC 10?
So far, all I have found is the Under Armor Band, and the HealthBox... and a couple of Garmin devices.
On Sprint, rooted stock Nougat, if that matters.
TIA for input.
I use Asus zenwatch 3 it's work perfect

That looks like a nice device/watch. Long way from the Galaxy Gear I had with my Note 2!
Thanks for the post. Appreciate the info. Not sure what I want yet on features and that has a lot on it for sure.

I have a Fitbit and it works fine. No issues at all.
Well... I decided on a Garmin Vivosmart HR. Went basic. Haven't really worn a watch in years and I thought I'd like to stay more on the small and basic side. ASUS does seem to have some good devices they put out from different reviews I've read. My company is basically paying for it through lower insurance rates, more HSA money, and gift cards so starting out with something like this would be OK, then get another one more advanced like the ASUS if I really liked this and wanted something more.

Samsung Galaxy Watch Active Questions!

Hey team, couldn't find anything on this so I wanted to get some hopefully quick and helpful answers. I purchased the Fossil Sport because I use the Nike Run app and I know the Galaxy Active doesn't have it. But I'm not fully happy with the Battery life on the Fossil now and am considering switching. So!
1. What's your battery life like with the Glaxay Active?
2. If you can, download the Nike Run app and open it on your phone and walk around a bit... I want to see if you can get notifications or the app on the Samsung watch or at least how the distance/HR/pace happens?
3. Do you think the Active is just as good with other devices as it would be with a Samsung? I have an S10+ now but I change phones like most people change underwear lol.
4. Anything else you can tell me to help me make my final decision..
Thanks in advance.
Hi,
1. In normal usage I get 2-3 days, in energy saving mode 4-5 days.
2. You can link Nike + run in D-Health but I don't know more about that, I only use S-Health.
3. I think it will work on other devices, but WearOS is better for that in my opinion.
4. Sadly tizenOS have no Google Assistant and Bixby is...
And the sleep tracking with S-Health is crap.

If you are serious about detailed and more accurate sleep tracking, Sleep as Andriod is the way to go. It supports wearables (All Galaxy watches supported) It'll show you heart rate from your watch overlayed onto your estimated sleep cycles, and it appears to be more accurate than just using the native sleep tracking of the Galaxy Watch / S-Health. The features and add-ons are pretty much limitless for what is possible for just using a watch for sleep tracking, although add on hardware can make it deeper depending on what you want to track.

https://sleep.urbandroid.org/
You can integrate it into S-Health too: https://sleep.urbandroid.org/documentation/integration/s-health/ but it's honestly not important since the Sleep as Android app does it much better natively. That being said, Sleep as Android is a bit more complicated and has some learning curve.
I have no affiliation with the app, I'm just a fan telling it like it is.

I mean the stages of sleep you can track with the watch. Not the sleep tracking itself, sorry for misleading. And this is really bad for me, especially the deep sleep. Most of the time I don't get more than 50 mins or less.
Sleep as android works better, but drain the akku like hell on the watch active and sometimes it freeze on the watch at night. Maybe they fix it in future updates.

I don't sleep with my watch on; I used to sleep with a Whoop fitness tracker but the general consensus was that I sleep pretty well almost always lol. I hate any assistant that isn't Google so that stinks but I don't even use G Assistant on my Fossil.
I guess it seems like I should stick with the Fossil Sport and hope the battery gets better...

thanks for sharing. sounds really good. but the thought of having to charge the watch every second or third day makes it a pain point. so the sleep tracking im using now is simply samsung health. so while im outside, it will track my hr too. so it's all cool.

any news on flashing Huawei watch fit 2 to wear os?

I bought that watch because i heard that there is app gallery in it. i bought it, opened it, and was surprised that there is only about 9 apps available on app gallery!
useless apps! i think of selling that watch to buy a wear os watch yet still underwhelmed of the their battery. It sucks!. on the other hand, Huawei watches' batteries are phenomenal. so i have some questions:-
- is there a way to root or flash the os of my Huawei watch fit 2? (i have never flashed a software before, so I am a newbie
- if not, will there be anytime sooner or later?
- if not, which wears os watch would recommend me to buy( I prioritize battery life, and third party apps availability of course)
thanks
I'm researching this too, there are very few applications, there is not even a calendar, a so-called smart bracelet Huawei definitely don't buy it, it's garbage
forum is dead no one seems to be
Does anyone know about this, this clock needs to be revived huawei watch fit 2
