Issue with Huawei E3372 not being detected by a Joying Head Unit - MTCB Android Head Units Q&A

Hello. I've tried to connect Huawei E3372 dongle to Joying Head Unit running Android 8.0.0 PX5 Octa Core. When I plugged it in it wasn't detected by the Head Unit. So after looking for a solution online I've rooted my head unit and installed PPP Widget 3, but still the dongle isn't detected by the head unit and PPP Widget 3. A light on the dongle flashes when it's plugged into the head unit the same way it's flashing when plugged into a PC. When I plug the dongle into a PC it opens up a browser window with HiLink.
I've read the PPP Widget 3 description in Play Store where it said it was tested with Huawei E3372, so is the head unit the problem?
Is there anything that can be done to make it work or should I purchase a different dongle or maybe go for a Mobile WiFi Router?
I would really appreciate it if someone could help me out what to do next.
Also I'm sorry if I posted in the wrong section of the forum.

Try to install moded firmware for 3372. Then u can switch your modem to ndis mode and voila.it works
I have e3372h and it works like a charm

I did the needle method, but every guide I found on the internet either says to compile the balong utility and balong flash (I have no clue how to do it) or Linux is required. I'm on Windows 10.
Edit: It turned out the utility didn't required compiling, but even after following a guide (i can't post links) E3372 is still in HiLink mode. After running balong utility all I got is question marks in the command prompt.

[Q] Bluetooth peripheral device driver not installed..?

I accidentally posted this in Windows Phone 7 General. Oops but my laptop (using Win7 x64) just updated and since the update, my phone (HTC Evo 4G) won't work with it via bluetooth as a headset for audio. Attached is a screenshot, and I've tried searching a solution and nothing I've found has worked as of yet (either something I had to install wouldn't work with my processor, or not the right type or bluetooth adapter, etc.).
Where can I find this driver to install it??

[Q] Anyone have ethernet access for N7 LTE working yet?

Hi
I am trying to get ethernet access on the N7 LTE using a USB OTG cable and USB-Ethernet adapter. Has anyone had success with patching the stock images, or is there a development ROM that has this available.
Thanks
Alex
Yes. Take a look here. http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=58868
There's a lot to go through, but the condensed version is that a fellow made a new boot image that supports Ethernet connections via USB OTG. Your bootloader must be unlocked in order to flash the boot image.
Thanks, but it is still not working.
I have downloaded the N7 LTE patched boot image from the thread and flashed it. My N7 boots successfully but using the OTG cable + USB ethernet adapter the ethernet is not recognised (I am using a USB 2.0 ethernet adapter from the company 'Plugable')
I have also tried to extract, edit and repack an official rom, but I get an error during the repack stage. I am trying to use Android kitchen and cygwin.
So I am stuck. Help!
Update.
Using the patched boot image, then rooting, and then issuing the command 'dhcpcd eth0' in terminal I can browse the internet in Chrome. However GMail and Play store don't work connect correctly
Everything seems to work now except Youtube app.
Frustrating thing is that I have to connect to a wifi source, disconnect, and then ethernet works (I am not using a sim). If I dont connect first to wifi, the apps dont see the connection!
I went to use the Microsoft Remote Desktop app over ethernet and the device does not see a network! Would have thrown the device in the garbage disposal shute (if I had one).
Finally there is a solution to get ethernet working on the Nexus 7 2013 LTE with all apps without connecting to Wifi first and praying to the heavens. I found that installing the latest stable Cyanogen Rom works, so I can now use this needlessly hampered device for what I purchased it for.
Hope this saves someone some valuable time, unnecessarily wasted by ? at Goggle for reasons unfathomable.

Are you using two different cables in testing or are you just moving the charging cable from the adapter? I found uninstalling the windows usb driver and rebooting to reinstall may help detect the device. Some usb ports dont have 500ma output for charging or change to a different port if available. Changing the connection type on the usb status icon to reset and set the type of connection may trigger the usb driver to connect. I think for the most part your windows driver is failing to initiaize and detect your device. Trouble is getting it to reset cleanly and install properly.
Once the device becomes detected, you can perform the steps to restore your device in order to use a sim card.

Thanks for your response,
About the cable is fine to apply for any gadget, but won't work on my Galaxy Note. I have repaired it at unofficial service center and they said there is no problem with the cable nor the usb port
And still, they don't know yet where the trouble is.
is there any possibilities to fix my Galaxy Note in this case? Thank You

Is there a general way to manually update drivers? (In my case, USB Controllers)

Hey all,
Just wondering if there is a way to manually update drivers for Fire TV/Stick/Android in general? I know this is an odd build of Android TV, but it just occurred to me after all my years of using Android, I have never had to try to update drivers. Recently I purchased two classic SNES controllers (USB) to use with my Fire stick via OTG adapter. I was unable to map or recognize X,Y,L, and R buttons. All other buttons were recognized and functional (select, start, A, B, D-Pad). I checked on my android phone (Note 4) and same issue. I then checked on my PC and the buttons were recognized. I then checked on my Nvidia Shield TV and it was again recognized, making me think it was a driver specific issue. Thanks in advance.

Philips pus7303 eth adapter problem

i have a problem with a philips 65pus7303 tv, i can't get a usb-ethernet adapter (the one that works with many tv, the tp link ue300)
I made the adb access to unlock the rndis function (usb eth) through the command
Code:
adb svc usb setFunction rndis true
the function is partially activated (before as soon as I selected it it came out now it remains selected but when I exit the menu it goes back to reload) but still does not recognize the device
is there any trick you know or try?
I am interested in putting a usb ethernet adapter, if you get it to work please tell me
