I had the same issue. It turned out that this widget is not supported on 3rd party launchers. I have Resurrection Remix ROM with pixel launcher pre installed. This widget didn't work in pixel launcher, but is working fine in Google now/Trebuchet Launcher.

Oohh.... I'm also using Pixel launcher. That's why it was not showing.

It is working fine on Nova Launcher and Arrow Launcher
Is there any Pie ROM with pixel launcher with option to hide home screen date and weather? Currently I'm on AOSiP 8.1 which has this feature. I really like pixel launcher but I really hate that on most ROM's user is forced to use default date and weather widget. It's the only thing which holds me back to change my Oreo to Pie.
I was wondering if anyone knows what triggers the dark Discover feed. My wife's Moto G with Oreo got it both with its default launcher and with Amir's Rootless Pixel Launcher, but I can't make it happen on my Mi A2 Lite with Pie.
Same here: i have it on my OnePlus One (with LineageOS 15 Oreo) but not on my Mi A2 Lite running Pie...

with built in Quickstep launcher the Google feed doesn't recognize the dark mode.
Lawnchair launcher works for me with dark mode

How did you make it work with Lawnchair? Is there a toggle somewhere? I have Xiaomi A2 and can't make dark google feed work with any launcher.
The system gesture are not working with Nova.
The support from Nova can't help.
Gestures dont work with any of 3rd party launchers (miui 12 android 11). You can change to custom rom when be available or use fluid gesture app here Link to xda thread. I tried without root on Xiaomi Pad 5 and work but not very well.
For some reason I do not see work profile widgets with the default oneUI launcher, however Nova Launcher does. My only reason for not using Nova is because of the cover screen not being able to be separate for the layout. Has anyone found a workaround?
