Hi, do you know if there is a tool for debloating on Mi Max 3 (rooted). I own a global Max 3, and i'd like to uninstall useless (for me) system app.
I've alse noticed that xiaomi framewors uses about 15/20% of battery....
Many thanks

I have the same question/problem... hoping someone has an answer. It appears that it has been disabled by sammy.
Use the double drop down to show the gear icon. Then long press the gear icon. Once it converts to a gear icon with a wrench on it, SystemUI shows up on settings.

Having trouble with this. If by "double drop-down" you mean two-finger swipe down, that brings down the full notification panel (toggle switches) panel... there is no gear icon on it.
If I swipe down with a single finger, there is a gear icon above the list of notifications, but it does not change to a wrench no matter how long I hold it.
help?
That is how I did it originally on Marshmallow. I am on N Preview now, and it is still the double swipe drop-down.
Let me get the link I used on matchmaker and post here.

I think you are trying to use the brightness icon, not the gear box.

I am sure I am not using the brightness icon. I am pressing the gear icon at the upper right of the screen (next to the one that looks like a grid).
Actually, I read the article you referenced before you posted it -- and several others. This is why I posted this here... that gear icon just doesn't do anything for me. I have read that some vendors have chosen not to use the System Tuner UI... and came to think that maybe Sprint or Samsung ditched it.
I see you are posting from a Nexus 6. Have you gotten it on a Samsung TouchWiz device?
Let me try really quickly.

okay... thanks for the try.
I asked about the System UI Tuner in another thread and have not found a way to access it. Given that some of the things System UI Tuner offers were already in TouchWiz, I wonder if Samsung just left it out. If true, this would be unfortunate because I don't know of any other way to control which icons appear in the Notification bar.
why are you posting in a note 4 section about your nexus?
can we ban members from showing up on our accounts when we come to the forum so we have less clutter like this?

Since the Op 3 has an amoled screen i would like to have as much black on the screen as possible at all time. I have enabled the dark mode already, but am kinda disappointed that it doesnt affect any 3rd Party apps like the google apps.
Does anyone know a way to get all apps black on stock os?
Preferably without root.
I found a lot about layer apps, how exactly do they work?
The word layer makes me think that they just make an overlay. Wouldnt it be easier to search the code in the app that defines the color of elements and change the values there?
Or just intercept the commands for the display an switch any white and black?
So what do you think is the best way to get as much black on the screen as possible?
Thanks for any input
Use cyanogen mod and install deep darkness its all black on most apps using cm theme engine

Would this enabled me to use the deep darkness theme(which looks great btw)? As far as I understood from a quick google search it is like a hub for themes. Is that right?

Hello.
I'm trying to find a rom which have full black theme system wide since i'm sensitive to white.
If possible, substratum-less.
Thank you.
Any AOSP oreo rom should do the work fine, just install substratum either with root or andromeda app then install swift black theme which costs around dollar or two.
---------- Post added at 09:20 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:16 PM ----------
Maybe off topic, but if you use desktop chrome browser, try "dark reader" extension. It is great

yeah it should work as omnirom supports OMS theme. just make sure to update your themed apps when swift black theme gets an update to avoid any issues.
You want to enable experimental features in your Xiaomi Camera app?
Here's how:
1. Go to files and create new folder "lab_options_visible" in DCIM/Camera
2. Force stop camera app

Wait a second..... all of a sudden it works? I tried after the update and it didn't work.
Yes it works, tried it the other day. Might need to delete the old one, also leave the beta program that version seems to be the old one.

On my devices, TB won't do a damn thing if it can't acquire root. And given that the majority of users in the US (with their Snapdragon chipsets) can't root, that's a problem.
