I would like to disable the light when tapping on my sony smartwatch 3. So I can read and scroll the notes on my google keep without activating the light.

Cinema mode and battery stats

Is it possible to turn on cinema mode and get notifications?
I can not find battery stats in Android wear app. Can you tell me where it is?
Open the Android Wear App.
Click on the cogwheel, upper righthand corner, not the 3 dots.
Click on "SmartWatch 3" under "Device settings".
Click on "watch battery" and you get the battery stats.
As I understand it you still get messages when Cinema mode is turned on you just don't get any visible/audible(no loudspeaker on the SW3 but vibration is audible too) notifications. That setting is specifically there so your Smartwatch won't turn on the display lighting and make any sound while you are in a cinema or other sensitive area where light and sound would be disturbing.
Side benefit, it won't react to touches on the display and it also won't turn on the display lights accidentaly when you move your wrist in a way that would make your watch think you want to interact with it. You can however turn the screen on by pushing the hardware button to check if any new messages have arrived.
Haven't tried cinema mode for myself yet, though, so no guarantee on the "still receiving messages" part.
Would be nice to just turn on vibration without having the display light up. I would use that but since that option doesn't exist I just turned of the wrist movement thing. My watch lights up and vibrates, when I get a message which is OK to me since that's what I have a smartwatch for but it doesn't drain the battery from always turning on accidentally just because it detects wrist movement which happened a lot before I turned that option off.
You can use app "Feel the wear" you can have vibration and also screen light if you would. So in Cinema mode you have vibration to know notification and if you choose light on the screen, you can also see the notification if you flick your wrist while screen is on

Notification Light questions

I just got my Pixel XL yesterday coming from the Note 7 / S7 Edge (temp device) and noticed the notification light acts differently from what I am used to seeing on Samsung devices. I have it enabled, under the 'Configure Notifications' setting menu (Pulse notification light). I then sent myself a test text message, and it pulsed, as expected. However, I have not seen the notification light come on for any other notifications, such as emails, or missed calls, etc.
I was playing around with the email notification settings in the Gmail app, and changed it from Silent to a notification sound, and the light then worked on a new email. I also noticed the ambient display is tied to this setting.
If I change the notification sound to Silent, I no longer get the notification light or the Ambient display notification.
I'm used to having the notification light to indicate any notification, regardless if I have it set to no sound.
Is there any way around this? I don't want my phone beeping every time I get a new e-mail, but I would like to know if I have one without having to power on the screen, since we do not have a nice ambient display like the Note 7 or S7E (at least not yet!)
As always: Light Flow

Thanks for the suggestion of Light Flow. It does seem to work, but I am forced to buy it to unlock notifications from apps other than the standard Google apps (I know, it's not much), but I would have thought something like this would have been baked into Android by now.
Did they change the licensing key? I purchased last year and now it doesn't show I did.

Or Settings/Notifications/Settings and turn on Pulse Notifications
Sent from my Nexus 6 using XDA Premium HD app

Aodnotify for galaxy.. Notification led replacement

Aodnotify for A50
Always on Display on notification! Notification light and edge lighting!
You miss notifications because your phone doesn't have a notification light / LED?
aodNotify will use Samsung's Always On Display (AOD) as a notification light / LED!
The app will automatically activate the Always On Display (AOD) when you receive notifications and disable it when notifications are cleared. With this you always know when you have new notifications!
To recognize new notifications even better, you can activate an edge lighting effect and light up the screen or camera edges, which makes a normal notification light look outdated
As the app uses Samsung's Always On Display it has minimal battery consumption and doesnt drain your battery like other apps which keep your phone awake!
Simply select which apps are allowed to turn on Always On Display or edge lighting and get notified on important notifications.
Furthermore you can automatically activate the Always On Display while charging your phone so you can see the charging state.
FEATURES:
• Activate Always On Display (AOD) on notifications
• Edge lighting effect for incoming notifications
• Notification light / LED around the camera
• Disable Always On Display when notifications are cleared
• Select apps which can turn on Always On Display
• Activate Always On Display while charging
• Minimal battery consumption

Thanks for your app, it's excellent .
Been using it for a week or so and to be honest i think i prefer this than having an actual notification LED.
This is what the phone needed. Thanks

[APP] NotifyBuddy - Notification light when screen is off

Just download it on the Playstore NotifyBuddy. The app developer XanderApps made an amazing simple app to bring back a simple and beautiful notification light when the screen is off. Easy to configure, allow all the permissions, pick the apps you want it to show the light for, choose a color, and that's it. You can tinker with the settings for the duration of the blink, how long it takes to blink again, and how long it blinks for, which is a big one for me because other apps do not let it go for very long from what I've seen. The developer also said that there is screen in burn protection built-in! The only thing is AOD settings get disabled when there is a notification as well as screen-off fingerprint unlock and a double tap of the screen is needed to wake the phone up, or alternatively press the power button.
No notification light is an issue I had found with the note 10 + coming from the Note 8 and this is resolved for the most part
Lemmi know what you guys think about it !
If you are not providing the app then you have posted in the wrong section...

Huawei GT2 Pro watch - new user and some problems

Hi there, just became a new owner of GT2 pro. Before this watch I had Amazfit GTR2, and so:
Viber, whatsapp notifications work ok, but if a message is from some Group then there is no group name just ...(three dots) - amazfit shows groupname
On wrist turn and if the Always on display is turned on it does not turn on the full watchscreen just adjust the lighting - amazfit shows full screen
AOD display is never turned off, even when I am sleeping, it would be nice to have some schedule for that like - amazift
There are only few AOD displays to pick, it is not customizable
Better sides of GT2 PRO are:
- longer battery
- wireless charging
- ability to call from watch
- nicer look
EDIT: Today noticed that when someone reacts(likes) my message in Viber group, then I get notification with group name, really strange

Click to collapse
You should set up "do not disturb" mode in the watch. While in this mode, put your hand on the main watchface (not AOD) and wait a second. The watch will not wake up until the end of "do not disturb" mode.
Nice one, this is a good information. Thanks for that.
Hi,
I have noticed also a bug on my GT 2 Pro:
During a a running workout with coach announces (each km) and bluetooth headphone connected with music playing: sometime, after the coach announce, the volume of the music stays very low (it is not restored with the right level).
Another drawback is that a steel bracelet disturbs the GPS reception of the watch. With silicon strap, the GPS is ok in less than 15sec, with the steel bracelet, it never finds the location or very very long and unprecise.
