What is the best working custom ROM for Desire HD - Desire HD Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi everyone!
Right now I want to reanimate my old HTC Desire HD and I search for a custom ROM that will work well with it.
I tried CM13 and CM12.1 in aceopt version and it don't works. I get a message "Encrpytion unsuccesful" like here shown: https://forum.xda-developers.com/ht...om-cyanogenmod-12-1-nightlies-t3070621/page86
So right now I search for a another working version, so the device will come back to life.
Greatings ...

Hi,
Try CM11, it was working very well when I have been using my DHD.
SVHD is also a very good ROM, so stable and bug free, but unfortunately it is only Android 4.0.4.
Maybe you didn't prepare your phone to flash aceopt version of this CM (read the instructions in cm's thread)? Maybe try a normal version, if it exists?

Take a look at this: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=77774761&postcount=5382
I'm afraid the phone would be very slow with encryption enabled.

Yes I think I will give CM11 a chance. And I think that a lot of apps that don't run under 4.0.4 could run with 4.4. SVHD is very good, but more and more geocaching apps I use don't work with it. On 4.4 they should.
It is my replacement smartphone, when my main, a Samsung S5 Neo don't work or so.

Best thanks!
This is great. Security patch is from 01.08.2018 and it is already LineageOS. Seems to work great. The only problem I have with it is, that Google Play Service stopped. Maybe I solve this.
First look is great.

Maybe installing this ROM without Google play services and using microG or yalpstore instead of them would be a better idea?

Issues:
Sim card not avaiable
Could now install Google Play Shop
positive - fast booting and very light rom but still useless and looks greate.
Strange. I could use my phone. Problem is, that speaker did not work, therefore incoming calls I have saw as blinking diode and onscreen notification only.

Hello guys!
I'm a new one in Xperia T3 forum so I'd like to ask if this ROM have the same bugs than the official AOSP (no speaker and no camera).
I love pure android and I prefer to have it rather than custom Sony (although I'll give a try).
Also, I can see FXP are building CM12 for our device too but there's no topic in original development! Should we have one?
Have a great day

Well, the topic's name is Free Experia Project so I guess we are talking about unofficial (although sources seem to be official).
Let's hope everything is fixed soon! Thank you very much for your hard work FXP team!!
PS: Can anybody tell me how to root it and install gapps? I see that we don't have any custom recovery so I feel a little bit lost in this topic.
I'll try this ROM ASAP and report if I find any bugs.

To root ready partition image you have to unpack it http://blog.djodjo.org/?p=98, add supersu and su binaries, build system image with it.
gaps you can add the smae way. Check this link: https://code.google.com/p/aosp4nexus5/wiki/AOSPforNexus5#Add_support_for_GApps_%28_Google_Play_Store_%29
Or you can build your own binaries and add any file to it.
This way:

I'm sorry I'm answering so late. First time I've ommited P.S. question. :|

Hm. I am not so optimistic.
1) Recovery. - There is no recovery partition in standard partition layout.
Maybe it could fit in boot partition? I don't know. FlashTool is good external replacement for that kind of software (but it lacks of possibility of system backup - just essential recovery). But recovery is not really necessary. Maybe there is posibility to repartition memory?
2) Last builds. - No, I did not flash it. If you check its announce in main thread you can see that there is no word "seagull". - "Seagul" is code name of D5103.
I've just taken a look in: https://github.com/sonyxperiadev/device-sony-seagull I can not see any updates related to missing audio amp.
This is not definitive. But syncing source code (I've got aosp git repo) I did not found such things too. Anyway still I can mistake.
To be sure you can try this build (I mean last FreeXperia compilation) as it is and rework it if there is some progress.

Htc One M8s - heavy lagging

Hi guys, I just bought m8s from Orange. (no brand, no simlock, seems to be full stock)
I don't know where to start a topic because it's m8 forum..
My problem is:
I've got Android 5.0.2 Sense 6 - 1.16.401.10 version
My phone is lagging as hell.. I did wipe twice, animations are stuttering, phone runs like galaxy s1 on 2.3.3 beta.
Im serious, I can't even use fb messenger because typing letters is lagging, google chrome is lagging..
phone is not usable, even lockscreen have got lags.
SOME animations are okay but im honest I've never seen so laggy phone before..
I did benchmark on Antutu and it scores around 33k points.
I checked CPU and 8 cores are "working"
I did wipe in system and from recovery - nothing helped
I checked battery saving feature - disabled
I compared my phone to my friend's desire 820 and his is just smooth and fast, ten times smoother than mine.
Can someone help me with that? Im sure m8s is not that bad.

MEGA _LANGUAGE_ PACK for Χ800_US ( only official 5.5.011s )

Good morning to all X800_US owners!
At last I managed to find some time and finished the compiled zip, with basic applications of official 5.5.011s and of course the 80! custom languages.
af,am,ar,az,bg,bn,bo,bs,ca,cs,da,de,el, (en-All),eo,es.et,eu,fa,fi,fr,ga,gl,hi,hr,hu,
hy,id,in,is,it,iw,ja,ka,kk,km,kn,ko,ku,ky,lb,lo,it,lv,mk,mh,mn,mr,mr-ln,ms,my,nb,
ne,nl,pl,pt,rm,ro,ru,si,sk,sl,sr,sv,sw,ta,te,tl,uk,ur,uz,vi,zh,zu,zz.
I'm working on it from the end of July and installed and working for at least two weeks without any problems. I corrected some errors in the code of rom that I found in SystemUI & Launcher3 and now they go faster!!!
All so included, dtwp: go to Settings> Accessibility> Double tap.....
and color service Settings> Display> Colour changes...
Screen off (just tap on the top right of the clock)
and the new 6.5 DolbyAtmos.
The others just find out!
----------INSTRUCTIONS----------
1. Put the .zip file to mobile root folder.
2. Enter TWRP and make a full backup on everything (if anything goes rong) and then make a restart, in TWRP recovery.
3. Press the INSTALL and find the folder MultiLangPack_X800_US_final and install the zip, with the known way.
4. When finished, press reboot to system.
5. When you start the phone and enter the desktop (somewhere at the end logically), you find the application which is MoreLangs and roll it.
6. Select (somewhere in the list) your preferred language and ......
7.Your Language now is everywhere in the system. System settings, music, camera, clock, calendar, wallpapers etc.
Tip If you haven't install the TWRP, you must install it first to make it work, because is for root users. For me working just great, but you know that you do this at your own risk.

Unfortunately not! Is capable only with official 11s. Maybe in a few days i can manage to convert it for the 11s debloated. Or you can install from Mondey my new full multilanguage rom release.
Could you give a link to your rom. I'll try.

If you have the official 11s you must not have any problem with morelocale2 because is all most the same with morelangs. But be careful with the steps below.

Another New Update - Version 25.216.2 (Sept. 5, 2017)

I just check for a new software version, randomly, knowing that it would say I am up to date. However, there was a new update. I'm going to see if I can find any details for it. The size is 57 MB. Has a pretty cool installation screen.
Anyway, it looks like it is primarily security patches.
did you find anything i got this updated to, i should applied yet because i thought maybe they are patching the bootloader isues that could affect the device maybe? so it can be unlocked, i really want root and i dont want to screw the opportunities patching new updates
For whatever it's worth, I just installed the update and the Android Security Patch Level is only "July 1, 2017" even though other pages say it's supposed to be the August patch level.

I don't think your going to have a choice for the installation, my phone brought up the schedule install screen and I couldn't close it without setting a time and date for the installation.
Upon searching and reading other DT2 posts looks like security patch and fix for camera malfunctioning previously with text set to small...

Hi, its a really new rom with ongoing development, so we will see where it goes with a feedback from others and our own mindset. From what i know dev-base has similiar idea, but different approach.
For now its a very clean rom with modifications we wanted for our daily use and active development from two devs.
sounds like an alternative to the other rom's. i'm waiting for the june-release with newest base to flash/test it.
